    They are good rifles. I've had my C39 for almost 8 years and it's one weapon I will never get rid of. Oh, it's the milled receiver version.

      @Alloy211  8 месяцев назад

      That sounds like fine rifle. I've really wanted to build a milled RPK clone but I have enough projects as it is.

    I order spare parts on the century red army surplus for field kit parts.
    My Trooper, just order a cheese grader.
    Mount from Alto "bravo xl" for a red dot.
    I stimpled the lower hand guard & pistol grip,
    I stitched leather check cushion.
    The Trooper runs🏃

      Those sound like good upgrades to the Trooper functionally and aesthetically. Function always over form but there's something to be said about a handsome looking firearm as well. The Trooper's consistent running with a variety ammunition and lack of any issues to speak of are what really influenced my positive opinion of it.

    Great video my friend! I want an affordably ak. I got a Chinese Mak 90 but i want one like this to beat around

      @Alloy211  10 месяцев назад +2

      It seems to be a decent rifle and if you could find it for under $700 I wouldn't think that was a bad deal. Although I'd go with a more traditional AK layout than the Trooper if it myself.

    Just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t like the Circle 10 stock either.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure why people would prefer the Circle 10 stock, it may be ok aesthetically but functionally it's a bit more than lackluster.

      @@67BAMO Personally if I were going with aesthetic over functionally I'd probably go with an East German or Polish wire folding stock. For that Cold War sort of vibe.

    Good video brother. Did that aes-10 bipod come with the rifle?

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you, and yes it came with the bipod. The only non factory parts I've put on the AES-10 are a TAPCO trigger and a polymer buffer.

    do you know the exact replacement hand guard

    • @Alloy211

      It's the Midwest Industries Gen2 MLock Universal handguard I believe. Which is actually on sale right now, almost cheap enough I'd maybe buy one myself.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure which you're referring to as neither the VSKA nor the AES-10 were cut for optics.

      @@Alloy211you have a picatinny rail at the top of the Vska

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  9 месяцев назад +1

      Ahh, that's part of the Midwest Industries handguard assembly. The Midwest Industries handguard is a quality piece and the piston tube cover rail is actually useable. I'd have to say it's a pretty expensive part and I would have gone in a different direction if it were my rifle.

    Standard ak pistol grips are not ergonomic at all for my larger hands

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад

      I can see why with it being a bit narrow. Tapco used to make a SAW style grip that I used a couple times and found to fill the hand better. Unfortunately that grip is no longer available as Tapco is defunct now. I did however see that Arsenal is selling a SAW style grip for the AK platform that might be just as good or better. I don't have any personal experience with it but for $15 it might be worth picking up.

      @@Alloy211 I got a grip I've had for like maybe 15 yrs or so maybe a bit more it's a cheap ass grip but it feels good and I've had no reason to change it and they actually still make em it's a TDI AG-47 grip it has finger grooves and that's not necessarily my favorite thing but it feels good. If I do change it it would be for a Magpul k2 grip I like em on my AR's 👍

      @@elia7597 I've always wondered how the finger groove grips handled, I've held them but never actually shot with one. Magpul makes some fine products and I could see why you'd would go with that if anything else.
