@@Alloy211 the bayonet spring assembly typically fits very tight already in these dented used sheaths but I think these are designed to have hole drilled in it that matches the hole in the sheath and a tiny screw run through both. In order to ensure the bayonet tensioner doesn't pop out from the sheath when you draw the bayonet out from the sheath.

Numrich gun parts sells the part you need for the sheath. I think it might be labeled as for yugo model 48 bayonet or something but it will fit.
