  • In this video I see how useful the GTing pocket knife sharpener is and if it's a worthy budget alternative to the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

I have a different philosophy with pocket knives… yeah I own some nice knives but I lose between 2-4 pocket knives a year so I keep a handy supply of cheap ones on hand… same with sunglasses.. I buy about 4 pairs of $10 sunglasses every spring .. I lose or break at least 4 pairs a year.

I am right there with you on the sunglasses although I'm doing pretty good this year as I yet to lose or break a pair. I can understand the utility of buying a cheap knife especially if they get misplaced often. The knife's handles in this video are such poor quality I'd be concerned it could break in my pocket if I sat down wrong.

@@Alloy211 Yeah that’s a bit too cheap. I also am going on 3 yrs with my current pocket knife.. a personal best.

That's pretty good. Losing knives is part of why I did my video on the two Ganzo knives. Although I haven't lost a knife in a long time there are definitely times and environments that either make losing your knife easy or finding it difficult that a quality knife you could afford to lose would be nice to have.
