    Cab you use the Creative Pebble V2 on this monitor?

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  2 года назад

      The Creative Pebble V2's get audio from the 3.5mm jack, so yes. They are powered by USB, so they could plug into this monitor for power... if you have the upstream USB cable connected to your PC. However, Gigabyte's OSD sidekick is not a great program, and has a feature of disabling common "Ctrl+" commands such as Ctrl+A, select all. But for sound, it'll work. The Creative Pebble V3's add in Bluetooth functionality so that may be more useful for you.

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  3 месяца назад

      Apologies, this monitor supports HDR. This panel is a 1440p, not 4K, and while possibly it may accept a higher-than-spec (4K is 2x bandwidth over 1440p) signal normally, it can't take this higher-higher HDR signal spec. Nor should you expect it to, as it's a monitor and not a TV; they are not quite interchangeable. 😊

      Technically the G32QC came out in 2020 Q3, this is the 2021 version. Due to Covid, many manufacturer's release cycle has been delayed by months up to or more than a year. You had 14x as many bad things to say about this monitor over the 32" LG UltraGear 2560x1440 QHD 165Hz VA HDR10, which you mainly only said the HDR was bad, but yet you recommended this on that video?

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  Год назад +10

      First, thanks for watching both vids! When we script these videos, we step through testing and generally need to re-write the initial summary section (TLDR) section a few times to really address key features and problems, and for issues, we consider how much those factor in to everyday use. We try to point out issues where we encounter them, nitpick a little, but keep in mind what consumers are likely to experience and either like or dislike about the screen or usability. As for many more bad things to say, the Gigabyte has USB upstream which the LG does not, which sends us into the software rabbit hole, and we get to critique that also, which raises the tally.
      Both monitors don't have speakers, which is lazy, this Gigabyte model has a slow menu but after initial setup... I haven't really touched the menu since. The dedicated power button is lacking on both, a nice-to-have feature from our Acer 4K monitor review that I miss here. With the LG we also stated the stand is very worrisome, displayninja.com has reports from users on screens equipped with this stand have problems with them breaking... which is a pretty ridiculous problem to have for a monitor.
      Does the monitor deliver a good experience? Both panels look great out of the box. This G32QC-A promises 350nits, delivers 350nits SDR with HDR hitting 435 peaking 455 nits, and the HDR experience is good for a budget monitor. The LG 32GN600-B promises 350nits but delivers 300. It maxes at 360nits with HDR. The incomplete DCI-P3 gamut on the LG 32GN600-B really hurts the HDR experience too, and they darkened the screen further to create a wider dark to bright contrast for their implementation, which hurts the viewing experience. Not comparing with HDR600/800 or higher obviously, those are in a different league, however a 100nit jump up for HDR is fairly standard in this budget monitor segment at the moment.
      This Gigabyte delivers what I expected it to do, and the monitor looks great with the possibility to enjoy HDR content for those who want to try that out. The LG is still a great panel, and the feedback we're getting around Black Friday is that it's a super cheap grab, well, those purchasing should know of the issues we found during testing and be aware there are better options available. Money is always king though, get a deal, maybe don't need the 'slightly better'. As we test monitors, we always find ones that deliver more value and features, and tend to recommend those over similarly priced but less featured options. Hope this clears things up? Please subscribe!

    I would love to see reviewers actually test smearing with every VA panels so we know which one to buy. Bought this, turned out the white text on black blackground and dark scenes in games are prone to black smearing and high overshoot on any overdrive but balanced. Balanced overdrive although will not give sufficient response time. The monitor is bad.

    • @Techspin
      @Techspin  Год назад +4

      As we mentioned, rtings.com has reviews on this and many other panels including the level of smearing and overshoot; they can afford to invest in specialized tools that small YT channels like this one simply can't. The panel is class leading, excelling in many areas including brightness, color reproduction and more, so just because it smears slightly too much for your liking doesn't mean the monitor is bad. I'm using it regularly for Fortnite and it performs extremely well, however your use case may be different. Hope this helps. And please subscribe!
