    I think your review was pretty good overall and it does appear to be a good unit with some compromises. Not sure about the angst with the screws as with the correct size screwdriver they should be easy enough to get in and how often do they need to be touched after set up. I also don't get the comparison to another 27 inch monitor when discussing value as it isn't an apples to apples comparison. If you want a 27 inch it is always going to be cheaper.

  • @Puckett.

    If you're getting this monitor you're mostly getting it because it has the best contrast possible in this price range and it won't be beat until you start reaching the $700+ price range. I snagged one of these for $260 used and am blown away by the contrast.

      Yep! 299GBP from OcUK here. Snapped it up for that price. I'll invest in a top-end panel when OLED monitors are mainstream. Regardless of what you buy these days (TN/VA/IPS) there'll always be a compromise. I think OLED will solve all of that, but we're a while off before we see those.

      @@HDLDesigns good stuff man! Glad you like it. I sent mine back sadly. Maybe mine was just a bad panel or maybe I'm just not used to VA's but the inverse ghosting/overshoot was absolutely appalling. Tried tweaking settings for almost 2 hours but there's no way to get rid of it. The pixel response just isn't fast enough. It's a shame because the colours were great. Loved the curve. Loved the simplistic design and it looked awesome wall mounted. Playing games like Tarkov/Warzone looked terrible. Whenever you moved your POV any way, it gave everything really bizarre trails. Dark level smearing was also really obvious on Tarkov. Just couldn't tolerate it.
      Biting the bullet and I'm going for the Odyssey G7.

    ive owned this monitor since launch. Its great for a va panel, yes the ghosting can be annoying but is only noticed on low res videos. Gaming is excellent and color accuracy and refresh rate is great as well. note: I prefer a ips panel or id even go OLED (minus the burn-in) but the prices of both options are restrictive when there a probably better monitors coming in the near future. But yes techteamgb is right.

    I gotta say I picked up the 27 inch for 250ish open box on Newegg and wow. I’m using a blade now with it, currently waiting for my pc build to come in. But wow. My first attempt at desktop gaming a year or so back was paired with a scepter 20ish inch monitor at 1080p (don’t remember exact size) and this is a HUGE leap forward. 1440p is like the middle ground for pc gaming! Plus the nice addition of a curve, man. It’s fantastic for anyone in the market. Affordable and a quality monitor.

    299GBP from OcUK and Amazon currently. Sub 300 for a 32-inch panel with decent performance and good colours is enough to get a buy from me. No monitor is perfect with the current lineup of panels (TN/VA/IPS). I don't personally see the point in spending 650/700 for something like an Odyssey G7 when, even that, isn't perfect.

      Man, this would depend greatly on your budget. When it comes to monitors you can get for $350 USD or less, this is the best. But, on the other hand, you're someone who has $1000 to drop, there are obviously much better options available.

    • @Dumpus7
      @Dumpus7 4 года назад +2

      This one 100%. I honestly don't really agree with this review at all. His main complaints are that it has a cheap build quality, but all of that is negated with a $30 gas spring vesa mount, which is ten times better than what any monitor in any price range is going to come with regardless. If you go to Tom's Hardware, and look at comparisons of things that actually matter, they point out how this monitor is literally the absolute best of it's price class in every single meaningful category there is. But if you really just don't like VESA mounts, then by all means.

      @@zocre16 I ordered the G32QC in the black Friday sale for £299.99. However, I`ve been reading a lot about 32 inch screens and most people think they`re too big to game on at a desk. You cant see the whole screen at once so you have to move your head from left to right to see everything.
      In a fast paced FPS game, you`ll get shot at before you even see them.
      I`ve requested an RMA so I can send to back and I`ll get a 27 inch instead. With a 27 inch screen, you can see the whole screen at once so you can react quicker to enemies without having to move your head.

    • @Dumpus7
      @Dumpus7 3 года назад

      @@MarkLikesCoffee860 I'd have to disagree with this, but I guess it depends on your set up and how far away from the screen you are. I wish I could post a picture of my set up, but the distance I sit from my monitor makes it perfectly capable to see the whole screen (which is just a few feet, like most gaming set ups). This is what the 1500/1800 curvature is for. In fact, I used to own the 49 inch monitor by Samsung, and still never had much problem.
      All that being said, if you mostly play CoD, go 27 inch, but spend a bit more to step up to a 240hz 1080p. Those frames are way more important.

    Sorry, 1440p on a 32in panel is a non starter. Tried it last year for a week or so and it was just horribly 'soft' looking compared to the razor sharp pixel density of my old 1080p 24in panel I'd come from, sent it back in the end. 1440p = 27in, end of story.
