    There is no reason for Fred to have been denied access to the police records in Maura's case. He has major grounds to sue the police department again with the FBI. This appears to be a police coverup, and answers need to be given.

    One thing I would like to suggest is when the details change from someone that has appeared in multiple episodes some kind of explanation would be nice. For example John Smith stated in this video "We have another witness that heard 2 cops arguing over jurisdiction" I don't recall this ever being mentioned before. He has been on multiple times. I would hope the moderators could clear this up. "We had another witness come forward recently that stated...." or "John was holding this info back to protect the witness but the witness said it was ok to release it"

    plugin exhaust is an old school army tip that is obviously not recommended, but a vehicle that is missing very badly might not have enough back pressure to fire the fuel injectors,
    Or, a diesel engine glow plug failure in extremely cold weather....old school dudes would place hand over tailpipe to help start vehicle if by there self they would place rag into pipe. There is not much on this subject on internet; you would have to contact a "wise man" granddad and pick their brains for old wise tales.

      Emily Walker I’ve spoken with David Paulidies . We had an extensive conversation during which I gave a detailed account of a situation that happened to me as a kid . David Paulidies plays dumb in his books and in the media as to what he believes is behind those clusters of strange disappearances. I know for a fact that for most of the cases he writes about that he has a very firm belief about what’s happening and he’s open about it in one on one private conversation. Knowing gives me chills as I think it’s a possible explanation as to what happened to MM.

    they laugh because of the explanation from the police that she tried to commit suicide with the ragg in the tailpipe, knowing she knew the police was probably comming right around the corner any minute is a very ridiculous statement. Also they probly laught out loud thinking, did the police really think anyone will buy this explanation....we all know better....i think you have to take it more like this....the part what I find interesting about this is that it kind of tells how these locals feel about the way the police investigated this case....not in the most thorough way....

    the police chief should have been arrested and charged with a DUI and been fired from his position immediately, if in fact he was driving intoxicated. The liability problems would be outlandish if police chief accidentally killed somebody while on duty driving intoxicated.

    Kind of off-topic, but I loved the discussion here about the woods and the mountains and the kinds of feelings that places like that can evoke. I'm from the Northwest but lived in New York for two years and spent some time in Vermont in the Green Mountains, and I identified with what was being described here. I'm from Oregon and there are places I've been there that gave me uneasy feelings that I couldn't explain as well. It's a strange phenomenon and almost hard to put into words, but KF and you guys both explained it eloquently.

      I have spent the better portion of 3 decades exploring the Black Hills. I don't much believe in spirituality but I can definitely relate to the people who do. There are places there that evoke unique senses and sensations consistently. "Uneasy" is a good term to use to describe some of those sensations. Others are very warming and comforting.

    • @trailmarker6154
      @trailmarker6154 7 лет назад +4

      He didn't claim to use a cell phone. Atwood knew she was lying when Maura said she'd called AAA. Then he went home and had his common law wife call 911. Do you think abductors have their wife call 911 to look into an accident of the one they abducted? John Smith is talking shit. Wants to have it both ways; point the finger towards a vague conspiracy then claim he's not saying there's a conspiracy. Anybody can assert anything. He's the only one that says the car didn't hit a tree yet provides no evidence other than his assertion. He can talk shit about the police chief and about the Westmans lying and/or being involved in a cover-up but you'll be damned if you mention any inconsistency about what Fred said. And for the record, I don't believe her father had anything to with anything.

  • @timmartin2894
    @timmartin2894 3 года назад

    I agree with you about Fred Murray very likely having no involvement in Maura's disappearance - Fred Murray being involved is probably one of the least likely scenarios... however, a person asking for FBI involvement in a case is in no way evidence of innocence - perpetrators will often involve themselves in cases by trying to be helpful; they often request and welcome as much investigation as possible publicly and in some cases even try to taunt authorities. He could, in theory be saying it because he somehow thinks the FBI will likely not commit further resources... he could, in theory, be saying it because he thinks Maura's body won't be found - and it's extremely difficult for homicide cases to be heard by a court without a body or a confession, no matter how much physical DNA evidence, or circumstantial evidence... in this case (and many others), it is clearly a devoted Father who wants the country's best investigators on the case searching for his missing daughter.

    Humanity managing to rise above all human frailties. Above all our base failings , and selfishness, private motives and agendas--the thing we find acceptable to exhibit--the thing we somehow know will be universally accepted--is the expression of empathy, of wanting to help, to exhibit sympathy. Rejoice that this is still the thing we find admirable.

    My advice, do not travel through New Hampshire nor Vermont alone! Too many police issues and I'm not a police basher by far, I have family members that are police and I trust them for the most part, but I'm sorry these small town good ole boys need to be monitored and I'm from a small town and I've been pulled over by policeman when I wasn't speeding for them to ask me a million questions like where are you going, as if it's their business, my problem with all this is there was a young woman needing help and the ones in charge of helping are being shady and how , when they put out the be on the look out for, did they know what Maura looked like and her height, she took her back pack with her which I'm sure had her i.d. and these guys are needing to be investigated. Like I said policeman aren't all helpful, and there are some that are predatory and believe they are the law and can do as they please. She needed help , a "policeman" showed up, she trusted him and got into his car. Her car was locked and left there just like anyone else would do if we left with someone and our stuff is in the car, and she told the bus driver she called AAA because she knew better than to get in the car with someone she didn't know, a policeman or a policeman impersonator though, she would trust. So, yep they need the FBI and they needed them from day one

    The NH police have stonewalled Maura Murray's disappearance on 2/9/2004 from DAY ONE. WHO ORDERED Butch Atwood's bus and car NEVER to be searched by cadaver dogs? Was it NH AG Peter Heed who resigned from office on 6/15/2004 after allegations of sexual misconduct but was cleared of any wrongdoing in a subsequent probe (wow. ...that's a surprise!!! ) and who later pled guilty to DWI ? I have the utmost respect for Mr. Murray's tenacity but Fred Murray wil forever appear a fool until he sues forner NH Attorney General Peter Heed for MALFEASANCE. Winning or losing isn't as important as getting to open court is. There was conspiracy from the NH Attorney General down to policeman Cecil Smith ( the first responding police officer and who killed himself on 2/20/2019). I believe Maura Murray mistakenly got on Butch Atwood's bus to wait for a AAA tow truck and she was sexually assaulted and murdered on Butch Atwood's bus by Butch Atwood AND policeman Cecil Smith; both of whom then surreptitiously disposed of her body when they allegedly went looking for her in their cars. And I believe common law wife Barbara Atwood aided and abetted them. Why were there FREE PASSES given on the search of Butch Atwood's AND Cecil Smith's (suv#001) vehicles by cadaver dogs? Who gave the order NOT to have them searched?

      We don't know that she hit a tree. That point is very much not settled. Eyewitnesses may change their stories based on their own expectations - for example, people relating the 'facts' of a car crash give significantly different speeds based upon the wording of the question 'how fast was Car B going when it smashed/bumped into Car A?' Eyewitness accounts can't be taken as certain fact; human recollection can be manipulated and inadvertently influenced very easily.

    1. Is John the Truth Teller also The Wolfman?
    2.
    I would like to know his email address if you would forward it please. I
    have been looking but can not find it. Thanks in advance.
    3. Questions I have.
    A. What king of vehicle was the Wolfman driving the evening Maura crashed?
    B. Where was he on the night of the crash.
    C. Has he been questioned by police?
    D. Do you believe he is hiding in "Plain Sight".
    E. The podcast Armchair Detective sent you a challenge.
    If you have not responding with the documents requested, WHY NOT?
    F. From these podcasts it leads to Wolfman is involved. Your opinion please.
    Maybe this is why the NHSP are having difficulty bringing charges.
    Thanks,
    Lou
