Basically what I can conclude from all these episodes is that Maura is definitely a very complex person. That makes me think that it might never be possible to know what happened to her. I think the real reason for her disappearence is hidden very well i her personality...
The amount of alcohol appears to me enough to keep her pretty soused for a week or two. I think she left her life because of stress but eventually planned to return. Something bad happened that night I don't think she was planning of committing suicide, why buy all the alcohol if suicide was her intent.
At the beginning Laurie was very firm that MM was dead. But then...based upon YOUR questions- and what anyone would have picked up on that you wondered whether MM was still out there...she later did a 180 - said she could very well be alive--but a minute later realized her earlier contradiction and went into the 'she's alive but dead' story. Also she kept saying 'it's very possible' ... Well - I'm not sure a psychic needed to tell you that.
Dan Da she was on a prayer for judgement which is a version of unofficial unsupervised probation in most states. Meaning she couldn’t get in any trouble but she didn’t have any other legal requirements like a probation officer for example.
Regarding Baghdady: he was only one of the assistant coaches and UMass discourages student/teacher romances like most universities, but it's not like high school by any means. a 22-year-old women student and 25-year-old teacher assistant having romance is not uncommon at all in university settings. Umass website has PDF on- line which outlines their policies and there are no disciplinary measures if romance occurs.
Ditto this. At most universities and colleges, there is no rule against faculty dating students (provided they are of adult age of course). It's not uncommon at all. At my college (early 2000s), there were at least 3 students I knew of who were dating professors. It was frowned upon but not against the rules.
It would make sense that Fred doesn’t want a book written on his family and the back story. If he was abusive why would he want the world to know that and be exposed. It’s a sad story
It's a theory - I still believe it's not as complicated as many people think. Maura had just been in her 2nd accident in which she was under the influence and drinking driving in her last accident. She knows if LE comes to the scene she's going to jail this time, This is why she had lied to Butch the bus driver. After butch leaving, Maura left the scene of her accident and took off fast (as she only had a certain amount of time of point of last seen) additionally LE was on their way she probably would be running. I think Maura went into the woods far away so she wouldn't be seen and close enough so she could see everything going on..No tracking because it must of been missed by SAR it's very easy to get turned around and lost I think she died of exposure.
As a former heavy smoker of 20 years, I'd say the only way I would be smoking after an incident like that would be if I was waiting for AAA or police to arrive to kill time. If I was frantic, nervous, unsure, or had a head injury, I don't think my initial action after the accident would be to reach for a cig. That's just my two cents.
Personal finances aren't public business, so forgive my comment on Renner's. Ten grand over 6 years, all tax-deductible, doesn't seem onerous or unusual or even as much as what a research-based book probably costs the author. And he "hopes to break even?" What, with his publisher's and agent's takes, plus royalties, does he expect to sell seven books? Lol
The first time I saw the windshield crack I thought that maybe she was taking a drink from one of the glass alcohol bottles and that's what hit the windshield when she crashed (since it is so high up). That would also make it easier to crash if you have a huge bottle in front of your face...
I could be way off base but: what if the red truck had some sort of police scanner that let whoever was driving hear the radio frequency cops use to communicate? Hence why they turned around in the direction of Maura’s crash, what if they were out looking for somebody to abduct and they heard there was a missing young girl, alone, possibly drunk..? Sounds like something that somebody who’s a professional predator would invest in in order to tell if police were near. Just a theory
Melissa Coe I do believe she was picked up but by a stranger miles and miles down the road. In my opinion that's why they haven't found her in surrounding area's.
Melissa Coe But at the same time if she ran down the road police were near by a few minutes later. if she was on the road police would of saw her unless she hid along the woods whenever she saw lights coming. Then continued on after the car would pass. idk
The police are "above suspicion?!" John Smith's research, the poor investigation, the weird pattern of secrecy - I don't discredit completely a cover-up by LE. As opposed to the bulk of Renner's speculations. Sometimes I wonder where in the world he's getting them.
The tandem theory certainly is a plausible theory, especially when "we are all " only speculating {guessing}; why go to all the extremes to disappear, and then disappear again with the guy that is helping you disappear. she could have run the car out of gas on side of any county road and jump in the car with the accomplice. also, she decided to purposely wreck her car in a no cell service area making it even more difficult to communicate with the accomplice. What motive would her accomplice have to harm her; makes no sense. My guess:: she quickly got the hell out of Dodge before the cops got there. what happened after that? only god knows. but without the guys running podcast and Mr. Renner, I would not be able to formulate an opinion at all; thanx for your good journalism.
Makes sense Melissa bc someone woulda came forward and stated she was planning a getaway with them by now....like someone stated billy paid her phone bill so obviously she had anothr method of communication....james may hv stumbled across this n maybe hes cracked this baffling case....guess we hv to stay tuned....I CANT WAIT!!!
James Renner has researched her case for five yrs. if you read his blog, he has overwhelming evidence. Don't drag others into not wanting him on, he's awesome. Anyone think the alcohol she got, vodka and wine specifically, was her n her friends fav drink, right? So I'm assuming she met up w the friend Kate bc she also(Kate) disappeared at the same time as Maura for a few days. I garuntee James is right about her meeting a friend and the party being maybe a going away party... I trust him over anyone and the rag in the tailpipe was for real.
As far as using another Psychic, it may be an interesting avenue to follow as the original one was not really able to give any info on where Maura might be.
Amy Adams for Maura. Unless I'm not getting a good visual of MM thru photos- she looked to have a bit of a red head look to her. I see Amy Adams playing Maura. She's also an excellent actress and could play the psychological nuances described.
+TheCheesecakedeath I quit watching these videos because of the bullshit that started appearing. Started off dealing with facts, turned into a shit show.
Not really. There's only so many facts you can talk about on an unsolved case. Eventually the leads do run dry. However, I think these guys from this podcast and Renner (and John Smith) have done a great job at revealing new details in a case where it's as if these are the only people actively working on it. As mentioned earlier, there does come a time when the facts just stop, and when they do (until you can find more), you have to start weaving in an out of events/the people Maura knew/their personalities/school life and outside school life, text messages/emails/phone-calls, etc. Whatever it may be. Speculation will be involved of course, but in something like this, you need to speculate and then with each theory you have, break that theory down in bits and pieces and see what makes sense. So no, it hasn't turned into a shit show. It's turned into a bigger mystery of what happened to Maura Murray and shows just how important it is to solve not only this case, but many other unsolved cases.
Brianna Maitland body hasn't been found, but according to her friends interview she owed drug money. Her car was found backed up to a barn and some of her personal items were found around her car. She left work and hasn't been heard from sense, I believe she was 18 or 19 at the time. She went missing on March 19, 204 and went missing from Montgomery, Vermont.
I wish the hosts would challenge James Renner when he dismisses suicide by saying Maura didn't have enough alcohol to drink herself to death. It's a combination of alcohol and pills. If you take some popular prescription medications with as little as a glass or two of wine there's a high likelihood you will end up dead. Maura would have known this because she was a nursing student. So, yes, she had more than enough alcohol with her to mix with the right pills and kill herself if hypothermia didn't get her first.
Also, the point of the “old squaw walk” (if that’s what happened here) is that you go far out to the wild and get hypothermic. The low temps do the suicide for you, you just have to get yourself out there. The booze is just your liquid courage to get out there, it’s not meant to kiII you directIy.
What if the windshield crack is from Petris? Maybe she did hit him and that's what caused the concussion. Also, she might not of been pregnant. She could of been looking stuff up for someone else.
1:02:40 Petra Pazsitka is the name of the german lady you are referring to. I, as a german, was somehow fascinated with that case. Germany is a country with a lot of bureaucracy, nothing really happens really without the right document. That´s shows that even in such a country it is possible to live under the radar for almost 30(!) years... makes you think. And as far as the birth control/her might being preg, what if she left it behind to throw Bill off? Or her fam? Everyone wants to discredit the pregnancy, but, what if she purposely left it behind? You can also get preg while on it, just saying, don't be so quick to dismiss, and four pills were missing, and she looked up info on drinking on a fetus.
Maura was abducted and a police officer involved. She's still alive, but held captive in a basement / dungeon not far from where her car was found. Similiar to a Ariel Castro situation or Giordano case. People are obsessed with Maura because they know instinctually she's not dead, although mentally, emotionally she is as dead from her years of enslavement.
You're fucking delusional. There's literally ZERO EVIDENCE to suggest anything you said is true. Zero evidence law enforcement is involved, zero evidence she's still alive, zero evidence period!! Go learn how to form a rational epistemological framework! 🙄
but her hitting him would not make James' theory of Maura being alive go from 90% to 40%....Im leaning towards a guy she may have recently met and went to the mountains to be with..since she was gaving issues with Billy...
Question guys...do they know what Fred did with the 4,000, do they know if he put it back in the bank or was it never accouted for by police...if they don't know what he did with the money then maybe he did give it to her he is a great actor if so
But don't get me wrong. I'm sure Laurie Bruno is a wonderful sweet woman. She's right about the Taurus thing. They are typically very sensible ppl. But again PT Barnum works in astrology too
We have a Saturn, same year, and there is a red light on the dashboard that stays on hence "a lit cigarette".

she was on probation which explains why she didnt want to see police.. i think its just a matter of whos car she got in
Ok. Here's my question. SCHOOL probation or LEGAL probation.... Two different things. I've never heard it clarified.
Dan Da she was on a prayer for judgement which is a version of unofficial unsupervised probation in most states. Meaning she couldn’t get in any trouble but she didn’t have any other legal requirements like a probation officer for example.

There were no footprints by her car.
Nobody mentioned seeing a tandem car.
It would make sense that Fred doesn’t want a book written on his family and the back story. If he was abusive why would he want the world to know that and be exposed. It’s a sad story

My thoughts too. I think people want it to be more scandalous or more exciting, but I really don't think it is.
The dogs lost her scent just passed her car.

WHAT IF THE BUS DRIVER HAD A POLICE SCANNER ?
I agree I just don't get the tandem vehicle theory at all. At least in this episode he didn't bash Maura and her family.
Melissa Coe I do believe she was picked up but by a stranger miles and miles down the road. In my opinion that's why they haven't found her in surrounding area's.

@@KevinJohnson-hk5ef I've always believed she's elsewhere too. She may have asked to be dropped of in another town or city.

Airbag could have caused the crack in windshield, I had an accident the force of my airbag deploying cracked the windshield...
As far as using another Psychic, it may be an interesting avenue to follow as the original one was not really able to give any info on where Maura might be.
Clint Harting >>>>>>>James Renner.
Agreed! He almost sounds like him... all fake on this side!
Oh my godddd guys come on the entire session u were feeding her names and places and all she did was comment on them....
Amy Adams for Maura. Unless I'm not getting a good visual of MM thru photos- she looked to have a bit of a red head look to her.

Awesome! Sorry I didnt make it!
The new employee at work is from Woodsville New Hampshire. Knows nothing about Murray but I’m not sure im convinced he docent
did she ever see a therapist?
And as far as the birth control/her might being preg, what if she left it behind to throw Bill off? Or her fam? Everyone wants to discredit the pregnancy, but, what if she purposely left it behind? In the Oxygen series they discuss that. She was looking up those things because it was part of one of her classes.
Maura was abducted and a police officer involved. She's still alive, but held captive

Renner's arrogance is hard to take. I really enjoy the episodes he doesn't appear on.
Diane Lane years ago, in her youth. Now, I'd have to think on that.
Also, did ol' Billy get married after all this has kids the whole nine
If you want to commit suicide,a list will drink something very very strong like vodka or whiskey with pills.
Not a bottle of wine and kahlua.
Come on!
IDK why i think the big announcement is proof that she indeed did hit Vasi.....im probably ALL THE WAY off tho -SHRUGS-
+Candance Hines The Vasi theory is the most compelling to me by far.
florathadafagadfd as clint harting stated...certain pieces just fit too perfectly for it tu b sheer coincidence....it simply cant be discounted!
but her hitting him would not make James' theory of Maura being alive go from 90% to 40%....Im leaning towards a guy she may have recently met and went to the mountains to be with..since she was gaving issues with Billy...
Melissa Bridges sounds most likely....BUT WHO???
Thats the mystery...it was probably someone that no one in her life knew about...otherwise how could this case go so long without being solved?
Aaaaand there went my theory
??
Question guys...do they know what Fred did with the 4,000, do they know if he put it back in the bank or was it never accouted for by police...if they don't know what he did with the money then maybe he did give it to her he is a great actor if so

Are St. John and Truth Seeker the same person?????
Stop giving Renner credit. His theories are crap
You guys should get theresa caputo (the long island medium) lol
I hope you were joking
Are you kidding? Evangeline Lilly to play Maura, of course!
No.
There all live and you can here me😷
The police are not above suspicion. That is your opinion! You are biased. I'm not listening to this episode.
