TROPICAL UPDATE - Beryl Arrives In Texas Tonight
Tropical Storm Beryl continues to try and reorganize after the Yucatan, an upper low, and dry air have really slowed its progress. The resilient storm sits as a mid-grade tropical storm but is likely to reacquire hurricane intensity as it approaches the Texas gulf coast very late tonight with the worst conditions arriving early Monday morning. Flooding, storm surge, and a east side tornado threat look to be the primary issues dealt with this storm on approach

Florida Takes a Beating - Caribbean Tropical Impact Coverage
Brother, I've gotta bad feeling for what's coming down the pike. Looking at the ocean anomaly temps moving forward. I think there is a possibility of 2 major storms that could affect the states. One could affect the east coast, and could have another storm affecting the gulf. I hope I'm wrong, but those ACE points are mind blowing for where we are in the 2024 hurricane season. What ya think? Had to ask the one dude I trust alot.
I completely agree. Not necessarily looking at total number of named storms quite yet, but as we’ve witnessed Beryl has already given us a nice uptick in ACE. So I’m on board with you, and I’m thinking August and September will produce a few more “quality” long track cyclones that could prove to be fairly impactful. The next month and a half I’ll be primarily looking at Caribbean islands, Bahamas, and the southeast-Mid Atlantic
Eric Burris just said on his live stream this morning that the Gulf Coast is their number one hotspots smh 🤦
Rewatching now. Need to do more research on this LRC methodology. I’m familiar but not well versed in how it works. So don’t want to try and interpret a ton of the info without developing a background. Not sure I agree with the gulf coast though
@WxCenterNazario I know as a matter of fact, Eric Burris said he wasn't a big fan of ENSO, and we know ENSO has an impact on WHERE storms will go, I'm more in line with you
@@jeremiahjoseph2325 that’s a little odd. Definitely more research to be done behind the scenes here. Thankful we have about two weeks to get ahead lol
I was 30 miles east of the eyewall of Beryl as it made landfall in Saregent Tx. I’m in Alvin Tx. There is absolutely no way Beryl was a category 1 hurricane. I’ve rode out Ike, Harvey, Rita ect and this storm produced more wind and felt stronger for longer. It just didn’t weaken. It was intense! People losing roofs, huge trees destroyed, incredible storm surge. 2.5million people without power. I think they need to look back into this system and see why it was so devastating. Might be time to reclassify these systems.
Where the difference was made was how much momentum this storm was building as it pushed inland. Convection wrapped up, the low center started to intensify, and it started to spin faster. So it’s likely we missed a pocket of coastal strengthening as it swooped ashore. Likely saw gusts easily pushing category two strength.

Woohoo🎉
Yes indeed, hoping to continue to grow overtime
Flack but you were right!!!
Thank you! Still lots of work to do be done next few weeks
On fiiireeee🔥
Great job!
Great live stream! What is it that determines a hurricane size? Is there anyway to tell if it will get bigger or smaller?
That's actually a great question. I would love to hear the response.
Thanks for watching Tyler! Love these heavy hitter questions, and truthfully the answer is pretty simple. If you recall through its life cycle Beryl was surrounded by dry air on all sounds. It never actually breached the core or the center specifically but that dry air to its north, west, and east sides didn't allow our bands to flourish or really outstretch themselves whilst pulling in more moisture. Tropical cyclones are heat and moisture powerhouses. The more moisture they can "cling" to, the larger their reach will get. Kind of think of it as those bands that rotate around the center like tentacles stretching out to latch onto more and more tropical warm moisture. If there isn't as much of a readily apparent source of moisture, they don't grow so the storm stays primarily compact like Charley or Andrew. Then you have Frances, Katrina, Ian, etc who have plentiful moisture to grab on to.
That makes sense! Thanks for explaining.
Thank you for your time and effort during this. Any chance Beryl gets retired?
Ya know I want to say it will be retired given the impacts we felt down in the Caribbean, but I'll have to do some homework and get back to you to confirm.
Good morning thank you for another update. I'm glad you're considering taking a mental break. Good for you.😊 You didn't do anything. People try to bring you down , don't let them. It's never your fault. But I'm happy you're going to take a mental break. Its much deserved. Membership is a brilliant addition to the channel!
I wish it were a true mental break haha, but we'll still be prepping, studying, and researching to gear up for our next batch of action in the tropics
Your coverage of this event from start to finish was by far the best, most balanced of any RUclips channel out there.
We did the best we could, especially for our first long tracker of the season. Hoping we can continue to reach others and communicate the information that needs to be available when most important
Definitely the go-to channel here for accurate forecasting while anticipating a big storm! This is the most wind producing storm for the Houston area since Hurricane Ike and is behaving very similarly at the moment for inland areas. Very thankful for this channel to get seriously prepared ahead of the storm! We havent seen anything like this here in the Houston area in 15 years!
Could’ve been a lot worse too had this system never interacted with land. Glad to be of service to everyone and looking forward to what else we can do in the future
You nailed it 🌀 👏
Took a lot of time, energy, and dedication but thankful to share my work with everyone
Goodmorning
Good evening from here now!
Is Trinidad still on the front line?
Yes, great question. We’ll need to watch end of July and through the month of August
#StayHungry, i know thats right
Yes😊😊 stay hungry but take a break too which I'm glad that he's doing that. That way he can come back nice and refreshed and take On The weather world.😊 And hey Richard😊😊

Sorry i missed yall this morning…. You were Spot.On. with this storm Naz… well done, Sir. Excellent job with the metaphors lolol Love that you are doing a membership option!! Cant wait!! I would Seriously consider adding an alternative way to donate as well though. Even just one! Lol People want to support YOUR work… not YT. Please at least consider this option as well as the membership. Say HI to Willow. ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Indeed. Membership would be a good idea. 🐈 Willow such a lovely cat. Hey there micky❤
Willow says hello right back! I do agree with you, still need to figure out how to iron out this channel before we get busy again. Going to put that towards the top of my to do list alongside studies
It's amazing how you predicted our hurricane season jan/feb/mar how insane it would be, saw Beryl coming and we knew it'd be close to galveston tx somehow I knew it would drift east as it does sometimes. You were correct. Hope the rest of us SWFL can relax for few weeks and enjoy because we have no idea what is brewing aug/sept ...be prepared.
He's literally the best weather forecaster. period.
Being prepared is the absolute best thing we can do. We shall see what end of July and especially the month of August has in store for us. Can count on our channel to ride through it together
Good morning thank u
Very welcome!
How does new Orleans look for this hurricane season 2024.
New Orleans isn’t out of the woods either. Whenever we see a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean everyone will need to watch regardless of where you reside
Yeap especially weatherman plus he said it could have been a major st landfall and it wasn't.he hyped it up.
Sorry, but he's a joke ! I called him out numerous times over the past few days for his click bait titles, and no response. you can't post clicky titles such as "New Info" "Beryl just went from bad to worse" "Beryl - Cat 3 at landfall" and then open your video saying that the center is undergoing dry air, and is struggling to get going. Naz is great, he's always available to answer questions off line, and his channel is 100 % legit.
Thank you Naz ....appreciate your dedication and sharing that with us !
That's why I don't watch him anymore. This is the best channel with great weather content.
We have to work together to weed out any misinformation that can put folks in harms way. Thankful for your support alongside everyone else’s

Brother that was me in NYC today. This heat is really off chain
Will unfortunately not be dying down quite yet either
Consummate pro in your presentation, superior knowledge makes you one of the very best on tropical systems. Thanks.
Thank you very much, we worked hard during this system. Grateful our forecasts verified pretty much every step of the way
Southeast Houston TX. - Watching closely. I'm watching mostly for Tornadoes. - Coming across Bay City will bring it right to me.
Southeast Houston will still see some pretty gusty winds and heavy rainfall. The tornado threat indeed will start to go up from here on out, especially with the center over land now
Thank you for all your hard work and reliable updates David!!!! Hope you’re having a great holiday weekend!!!
As to you Mike! Hope you got to enjoy the fourth of July to the fullest. Can't believe how fast it all came and went
Greetings from the Cayman Islands. My two daughters and other family members live in and around the Houston Area. My prayers are that they will be safe. Please tell me that you are going to give an update this Evening. Thanks Naz. We love your attention to detail. ❤👀🌀👀❤️🇰🇾🇰🇾🇰🇾
Sorry I was unable to do an evening update. Thankfully, the storm has moved ashore and managed to only rebuild to category one intensity. The heavy rain and tornado threat will still be present with gusty winds/power outages on the table.
Nice video as always! Hope to see you tonight to update Texas peeps just before landfall. Already a tiny bit stronger but nothing major. I see some meteorologist on Fox weather talking about possible rapid intensification. I was like Wow! Really? Talk about sensationalism! I stick to more realistic forecasts.
It was going to try, very last second we started to see it picking up increased rotation and thunderstorms especially once we got into the “maximum” overnight where the core can really thrive off instability
I don’t know
Thank you so much for the update.
Most welcome!
Thank you for dedicating so much of your knowledge into helping your audience to understand what weather a phenomenon can do to their lives. Thank you for your service. Hooyah!
Very welcome! Thanks so much for your kind words, they mean a lot genuinely
Will this hurricane happen during high tide?
Check the tide times for your local location at that time. Idk tho would be worse if it is
Sorry I’m late seeing this, was not looking at tide schedule truthfully.
Is Trinidad still in the front line?
Yes they are. Need to be watching for future low latitude tropical waves
Thanks Naz!
No problem!
Informative as always, thanks David!👍
My pleasure!
Hope you have a livestream for tonight for landfall you and patspathpredictor are the few who actually answer my questions. Screw the trolls this is serious. Thanks for all you do
They will be my only go-to source for anything major weather related from now on being that they both have been much more accurate and therefore trustworthy through the entire event which is greatly appreciated when local weather channels projected a Mexico hit for far too long while your average, ordinary person could clearly see it's most consistent, northerly track. For those of us who've abandoned regular cable television and have gone purely online, these guys are priceless and have enabled those of us in the Houston area more than the 48 to...24...hours to prepare!
I really hope he focuses on weather and less on trolls. Unfortunately horrible people exist, but never allow it to discourage you. 😊
Indeed
You’re absolutely right. Need to stay focused on what information I have to give to you all. Apologies for not taking to an evening live stream. Slowly but surely getting into our “break” but we aren’t going away. Plenty more to talk about
A video!? Holy crap! Great video Nazario!
Thanks TRG! Always thankful for your viewing, especially in our live discussions
Sorry I missed you live. My banners or notifications don’t work properly for u-tube gotta change it so I get a notification your on!
Sometimes they can be very latent. The few channels I do still watch I’ll receive notifications hours after they’ve uploaded or concluded their own streams. Not sure why
That explains why. I was checking my settings but they were fine. It’s not me. Thanks a bunch
In galveston here.
Glad to have you watching

hi Dave
Hey hey!
Connecticut here
Thanks as always for watching, I sincerely appreciate you!
Hey, WxCN, good Broadcast. My friend in Port Arthur TX is sitting tight- awaiting 6 - 8 in rain!
It's getting close! Tonight and especially throughout Monday morning the worst impacts will be settling in. Key here is, how much can this storm re-organize and strengthen on its final approach
Just like you forecasted yesterday..on point..good job…❤❤
Let’s see if we can see this storm thru to after its final landfall. Watching incredibly close, more updates to come before it’s all concluded
Aug through Nov, looks bad for Florida.
@@nancygocal3191 technically it's not here yet. It may not be bad ,but at the same time, I think it's going to be a crazy season look how it started. We just need to prepare.
The signals are there. Well simply need to take advantage of what we have in front of us, and keep are eyes open. Better to at least know what’s coming at the minimum
I hate that haters bringing up tic toc and other negative things. Let the trolls give their time away from their family get their own channel and put their money where their mouth is. You nailed this forecast and should be so proud of that. It has been a pleasure to watch.
@@nancygocal3191 the more you give me to negativity, the more it will persist. Don't pay it any mind , t'll take care of itself .
Completely agree, perhaps some have too much time on their hands. We’re working hard and we’ll see this storm alongside this season through to the end. Thanks so much for your support
Look at that track naz. You did so well with your forecasting. Great job!!
Thank you!!
I haven't seen other weather forecasters criticize you. So if it's individuals, I'd say don't even bother with them. They're small minded people and you don't need to spend time on them. I watch lots of weather people and I find your forecasts to be solid and I think if you keep up what you're doing, you'll go far. 😁😁😁
Thankfully that’s not the case. I’m very open to feedback and constructive criticism, but the outlandish remarks are out of hand. I’m thankful for those of you coming to not only support but help spread the right info to those who need it
@@WxCenterNazario I'm so sorry to hear that people are being abusive. That's never OK and I hope that they pipe down and spend their time doing something productive. I think a lot of people who can't do things just criticize. Clearly you are one of the doers and sometimes people just can't stand to see some successful doer doing things they would never have the wherewithal to do. As you get bigger on this platform, I think some of the unproductive voices will get drowned out by the positive ones. I'd definitely suggest focusing on the positive voices on your streams because when you do, it sucks all the oxygen out of the proverbial room for the negative people. Call out peoples' positive or helpful comments and questions on streams and videos, and especially the questions, because I think a lot of people look at weather from folks like you because we want to learn. That could help drown out the negative people and bolster the positive ones.
