It's always great. Your video is excellent quality. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks
My Princess Alexandra of Kent is still flowering and it’s the middle of winter here in Sydney,Australia !! Very good performer. 🇦🇺👍😍🫶❤️
Really! I wish I got mine blooming that stretch, too cold here I think
Your roses are so beautiful. Especially P Alexandra! Wow! Mine is slow to bloom and darker pink in zone 9b/CA. I think Bathsheba is an improved version of Princess Margarita with a good scent too. I like it so much, I added one more this year. It also grows fast with good rebloom. I prefer Crocus than Litchfield Angel which didn't bloom much for me. My Moonlight in Paris is coated with mildews very often though it blooms all the time! Yours roses are so gorgeous, healthy, with lots of blooms! TY so much for taking the time to do the video. Sooo glad to see your "Green Thumb" at work again. :)
Oh hi Melissa! Oh wow, it’s nice to hear from you again! PAOK is really the big winner in my garden , big many blooms, repeats well, healthy bush, amazing smell and with 4 days vase life! I will try to root it and plant in a shadier spot just so si can harvest tons of blooms. Your crocus doesn’t get mildew?
Thank you!
do you have video of Royal Jubilee?
I don’t.
Very beautiful❤
They are! Thank you.!
Beautiful Roses collection 🌹❤️
Thank you!
Your video is so relaxing and calming . After a long day with children, your video is all that I need to relax . Also informative thank you.
I am so glad my videos can help you that way! Children can be exhausting. Blessings!
What beautiful healthy roses and thank you for describing the fragrances too! I love your videos! 💗
Thank you for appreciating! ❤️
do you have video of Royal Jubilee
Your Carding Mill is so much prettier, and far more interesting, than DA's photos! Wow, I am definitely going to order that for next year. My own-root Moonlight in Paris is super healthy and a flowering machine in my hot, dry climate. It seems a lot of people have had disease issues with it, though.
Oh I know! I chuckle myself how I didn’t get Carding Mill right away. It is a great rose over all. My Moonlight is grafted I wonder if having an own root of her will perform better for me. Thank you for sharing!
Cudne!!
Lol ok
"Hi there! I'm curious about how you care for your David Austin roses. Could you share what kind of fertilizers you use to promote more blooms?"
I use bone meal then followed with fish fertilizer 2 weeks apart
КРАСОТИЩА ) 😍😍🤩🤩🤩 "Crown Princess" is my Passionate Love Forever )) I've had HER ) in my garden once... Thank you so much)
Mine barely flowered this spring and in serious break interval right now, no sign of bud.. beauty but stingy, how is yours?
the apricot color fade away very fast.this is one of my regret buying
It lasted 2 days fir me and I really like the mauve ending
@@IsshaGreenThumbing ya,for me the apricot also last for like 2 days. but after that looks bit like used WC paper....
Gotcha! Funny I like it in every stage of color and form and smell. Bloom has staying power too as DA roses us known for quick shattering. Bathsheba is pretty stand alone but I have other beauties to behold in the garden ❤️
Ak, koks pasakiškai gražus jūsų sodas!😍
Thank you!
Just bought one, own roots 😊
Wohoooo! Mine is own root too
Happy roses, happy life 😁🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing 🥹
That’s right! Thank you for dropping by🤩
❤
Hello Mr Hanks! Thank you for dropping by ❤️
Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses. I, like yourself, love the pink varieties.
I fell in love with pink first ❤️ now I wanna venture on crimson red 😂 Thank you!
Do you ever get temps higher than 106-110? If so what is your rose are regimen?
2 consecutive past summers we had 105 to 110 - my roses, are mostly partly shaded , they survive just fine albeit smaller blooms than usual. Water, water, water
Love your rose garden as always. Where did you buy your own root roses?
Mostly from David Austin direct company. I rooted Julia child myself from grandma’s garden.
Thank you!
@@IsshaGreenThumbing Impressive. I couldn’t find own roots roses on David Austin website this time. Do you think it’s ok to buy from Heirloom roses website? Thanks
@@landang7057 You have to do it in the fall or winter with DA, heirloom roses is ok, you buy a more expensive small start which is fine.
@@IsshaGreenThumbing Thank you. Do you prefer own roots or grafted roses after having both of them for that many years?
Cudne 🌹❤
Thank you
Hi your roses are so pretty . I am trying to find asource for Kiss Me Kate and summer Romance . Do you have one ? Thank you
Hi I’ve seen those and both are pretty. No I don’t have them.

Abraham Darby is so healthy in that pot… the flowers are so beautiful and one of my favourite DA roses ❤😍👍🇦🇺😃
Last year I gave bio a dance 3 in one fertilizer and wasn’t as happy like he usually is. This time he liked his food I think 😁
Absolutely beautiful roses…you give me inspiration planing my garden this coming Spring in September. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 😍👍❤️🌹
Thank you! And thank you for taking time to comment. This video is a work of love and so as growing these beauties, I am glad I can be a help. Happy dinking around in your garden,

One of the best Austin reviews ive seen! Really fun and inspiring!
Wow, thanks!
You have such beautiful roses. They look so healthy. X Liz from Scotland..
Hello there! Greetings,love.. Issha
Breath taking!!! Please tell us what do u do to keep the rise plant diseases at bay like black spot, fungus...plz let us know.
I don’t spray, I rely on balance bio ecosystem, I clean the base of plants so fungal disease wouldn’t be a systemic health problem
Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses. I, too, am a David Austin rose collector. What is your secret to disease resistance, particularly black spot, as your roses’ leaves all look so healthy!
Remove the infected leaf right away, discard and don’t use it for mulch or compost, Also when watering, don’t wet the foliage
Thank you, I do remove affected leaves as I see them, do not compost them and do not water the leaves. Some of my roses are unaffected, some are more prone to black spot so am using a natural fungicide spray which is helping to control it.
@@user-mt9zk1it3u Good! I have a rose that is susceptible to black spot and no matter what I do, I still see some foliage getting it..it’s the moonlight in Paris, I am waiting for it to be older and more resistant as their health becomes stronger like what happened to my Gertrude Jekyll..
There's a world of roses apart from what Austin has produced...especially when it comes to other shapes and growth habits. Find it strange when people start and stop rose collections with their hybrids. So many amazing historic cultivars and central European and French varieties to pick from.
I saw some, really beautiful EU varieties. it’s a matter of availability and hardiness in my climate.
Do you do anything special to make their blooms so large? I have Golden Celebration and Abraham Darby, but they never have such large blooms.
when potted, change the upper 50% of its soil and give it fresh compost mix 50/50 of your own choice of potting soil then mix with generous application of bone meal , water, water then after a week I apply fish fertilizer.. water water water
How often do you repot your roses ? Do you prune the roots. I planted 5 DA roses in pots last year and wasn’t very happy with their performance…I’ll give them another chance this spring.
When re potting try not to disturb any roots or it won’t perform as well which is challenging to do, repotting they say should be done every 3 years, haven’t done that, instead just remove the top 50% of soil and refresh with new compost
Beautiful roses. What is your most intense fragrant rose? I had a hard time understanding you.....
Right now the strongest smell giving is Gertrude Jekyll then Abraham Darby, thanks for the feedback
One of my favourite DA roses. The fragrance 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Absolutely!
Perfect rose. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 😍👍
It’s perfect until it gets rained on
Yes like most flowers spoil after rain.
Hi, your roses are stunning! Thank you for sharing. I did have a hard time hearing you. The sound was good but it wasn't clear. Sorry i dont want to miss any information you're sharing. Looking forward to your next video 😊🌼
Sorry about that. Could you maybe turn up your volume? I have increased the audio to 240% recording. I sounded fine in both of of media devices. Appreciate your feedback.
@@IsshaGreenThumbing ok no worries thank you, it was probably my TV.
I hardly have words to describe the beauty of your roses, your passion and love for them is almost tangible. I'm sure they display their beauty in abundance due to the tender loving care they receive 😊❤
Thank you so much 😀 I am passionate ok 😂
Do you have any suggestions for companion plants for roses?
My personal pick is anything blue or purple flowering would really give highlight and it’s a plus if it deter bugs like rosemary, lavender, etc
Your roses are just beautiful!! Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome and thank you!
What variety is this beautiful rose? ❤
Hi! Thanks! David Austin BOSCOBEL. I just put up its ID.
This is an absolutely beautiful rose, with an early appearance of a peony, opening to a full rose with over 200 petals, and a heavy perfumed aroma. It blooms all summer long - currently about 50 blooms on this 2yo rose. Not surprised you can never find it to buy - it's just soooo beautiful
You got it! What a shame it’s no longer accessible! They are about to open in my garden, super excited!
I am just loving seeing everything in bloom!! This time of year in the PNW is the best!! Thanks for sharing.
I know! Here are the beautiful PNW season. Thanks!
can it be a shrub? or it is a climber
ABE is a consistent large shrub but shoots out canes everywhere
Your roses always look AMAZING!
So nice of you! Thank!
What’s the name of your yellow rose.
It’s a mystery rose , somebody said could be sunsprite. I m not sure
do you have Queen Elizabeth
I do! It’s going to bloom soon. I rooted it and trained her as a tree rose.
@@IsshaGreenThumbing does it gets sick at your place ?
@@IsshaGreenThumbing can i see it?maybe you can make a video?
Beautiful looking roses, They are the bees knees.
Lots of bees for sure! Some sleeps inside between the tight petals, silly 🐝 that’s why I don’t spray.
So glad to see you and your roses again, Issha! I've been waiting for your video :) I understand. Life is hectic and not easy. That's why I miss your videos--my therapy :) Your roses are so beautiful and vibrant. As always! TY & welcome back!!!
