I am close to Canada border and my climate experience would attest that my zone is dependent to what’s going on in Canada 😂, so My zone is more of 7b a lot of times than 8A. I specially love English romantic roses, English style of gardening, meaning balance clean structural gardening designs,

      Roses are easy going but if you want them healthy and a reliable bloomer, give double measure of TLC. But then also its age makes it prolific and strong, Thank you!

      @@IsshaGreenThumbing Yeah, depends on weather and heat.I have noticed that recently, countries such as Australia and US, the roses are more profilic in their flowerings when compare with UK ones of similar varieties.

      I actually just planted Bathsheba in a pot. I did it because it is a short climber and I pt wouldn’t grow that huge, make sure to get a big pot though, I got one from Costco with Height up to my knee and about same width too

    Such a beauty, how often do you feed your roses and what with?

    • @IsshaGreenThumbing
      @IsshaGreenThumbing  8 месяцев назад +2

      I feed as they wake up from winter in April, then every after flushes. I would also give them boosters every now and then, some fish. Banana peel. I miss organic and non organic fertilizers. One day, I will come up with content to talk about all the materials I use.

    I loved Julia Child when I grew it: perhaps I should get it again. How long have you grown it for? And how has it done for you?

    I just got my first Julia Child rose bush. Do you deadhead the flowers after they’ve bloomed? I’m new to roses and I just had to have this one when I saw it. Any info is very much appreciated.

      Or if anybody knows the answer to my question, let me know.😊 I’ve heard cut below the first 5 leaves, etc.🤷🏻‍♀️
      My neighbor said to watch out for Japanese beetles too bc they will eat the whole bush.🤔

    • @IsshaGreenThumbing
      @IsshaGreenThumbing  2 месяца назад

      Hi! All roses needs deadheading after the bloom spent to encourage reblooming. I cut just a little above the eye of the new bud, ideally at least 3 leaf joint.
