    Thanks. I just helped my ex-husband get spousal benefit. He was denied, I helped him with appeal, and it was approved. He got 'back pay" for r 6 months. The Portsmouth NH DS office was outstanding and very helpful.

    What is this chevron decision? I worked and earned my 40 quarters, then went to work for county of orange in calif. When i retired they took 60% of my social security from me as county did not pay into social security. I do get reduced check, howerver i worked another 5 to 7 years and paid into ssb again. Yes my ssb went up. I was married over 25 years yet i was told i could not get any thing from my ex husband who got higher ssb than me. Can you expain why? I do get a county pension as well, Ss told me i make too much? That was never told to me prior to me retiring. I wish they would tell the true facts to people.

    BOTTOM LINE The "Chevron" decision will not affect your benefits UNLESS/UNTIL a prior policy decision had an ambiguity in a Federal Statute that was misinterpreted AND that intepretation gets challenged AND the trial court agrees and the all of the appellate courts that case is taken to also agree with the trial court AND the new interpretation actually impacts your benefits differently than the old interpretation.

    So many calculations to consider if you have long genes and good health. My crossover is about 77 and G’ma lives to 93. So that’s significant. But if I wait I’m losing valuable years for my great adventure; retiring overseas. Years are not all equal. 40-50 was about the same but I remember 20-25 and I bet 62-67 is similar. BIG years.

    All of the government agencies used Chevron to go rogue and make bad illegal policies and overstepped their authority to terrorize and incarcerate Americans. Chevron had to go. These rogue agencies need to be reigned in or abolished. The ATF, the EPA and FBI need to be abolished and the others need to be reorganized with smaller budgets and personnel. It's time for us to get back to the Constitution and away from these far left destructive and evil agencies. Sorry but you are wrong. These agencies like the SSA were not acting in accordance with the law. They were making their own laws and that is unconstitutional. Chevron clearly was unconstitutional. Congress needs to step up and jail the bad actors in these agencies.

    The insurance companies are not getting a less rate of return, or reimbursements, they are getting the same as 2024 but the cost of healthcare has gone up and continues to go up so they will probably be cutting on their benefits for medicare advantage plans, increase the copays, and increase deductibles as well as putting lower tier drugs on a higher tier.

    Congress was passing laws in such a way that they are not accountable for their decisions. They have been called out and now must do the job they were elected to do instead of passing it off to un-elected agency workers.

    As to how to vote for the most control of bureaucrats for you own benifits check out the project 2025 which is the back door plan for one of the candidates. Lots of profound changes planned for the goverment. Also check out which candidates want to get bureaucrats back under political control with changes to the Supreme Court. It looks like this coming election is going to be very important for this.

    The bureaucrats have political control over them. Your Congress person can often help you with problems with bureaucrats. Every four years you can vote for the person who appoints the bureaucrat heads. So you do have some control over bureaucrats. However with lawyers and judges you have no control over how rules are made or enforced. Like only the people who have the millions to pay the lawyers or appoint the judges are now in control. I think we are screwed unless we use our votes this time to get our control back.

    I am on s.s. retirement Why are they trying to bankrupt the country instead of paying off the national det? They keep printing money they don't have. I would like to see my children have a future by paying off the country bills. I would lose my home and car if I did what the county is doing. I am shocked other countries are putting up with this. We are just pulling the world down with us. Save the country stop spending and pay your bills like I have to.

    When I began SSDI, my son was still at home going to high school- did not graduate until about 7 or so months later. They did not offer me anything for having a child at home still. He was 18, but he didn’t graduate until that next May or June. Was I supposed to receive any benefit for him, until he graduated? He did not work while in high school. It ended up being about 7-8 months later after I became eligible.

      Depends on what you can afford to pay

    • @ga6589
      @ga6589 2 часа назад

      My husband and I stuck with traditional Medicare + supplement plan G. Our premiums are higher than MA, and we have to purchase a Part D Rx plan, but that's cheap. My husband is a cancer patient at Mayo Clinic, so this was a no-brainer for us. Other than the Medicare deductible which is $240, we see no out of pocket costs at all and his care would have bankrupt us otherwise. Advantage plans typically have high copays/out-of-pocket limits and many require prior authorizations and referrals, or have restricted provider networks. Some clinics and providers are dropping these plans altogether. With them, you turn over your Medcare to a private insurance company and they call the shots. It all boils down to what you can afford. Typically, insurance brokers will push the Advantage Plans and they are appealing due to the low cost or even zero cost premiums. Find someone who will give you the low down on everything.
