I was told I could file for Social Security and disability. At the same time. No one told me my disability would be. Reduced once a disability was approved. Can you pay back Social Security money? And if not, how much do they reduce your disability once it’s approved?

It sounds like you've been receiving your Social Security insurance since 2021. Are you talking about retirement benefits or survivor benefits??

i retired about a year and a half ago when i turned 65 - i am a 3 time cancer survivor over the last 12 years and kept working until i could get health care through medicare at age 65 .... i'm wondering if i could get approved for disability at this point ...... it would prbly only make about a $200 difference per month but hey it all adds up ....

I would definitely try!! Pt 2 will come out tomorrow. Hopefully you chose a Medigap plan to cover all the gaps of original Medicare. Please check out my videos on Medicare if you have any questions. Take care of yourself, Ed

If you are 65 and you apply for disability, are you automatically kicked off of disability at your full retirement age? the full retirement age in this case will be 66 and 10 months. I’m asking for a friend who has serious health problems (blood clots, heart problems, etc) and is struggling to work a little bit. He was hoping to wait till he was full retirement age or even 70 before he got his Social Security because it won’t be as only retirement money.

Hi I currently receive ssdi on my own record and ssi because I was too young when I became disabled, my onset disability date was on September 1991, I was 21 when they decided I’m disabled based on the esa rules, now I’m 53 and just found out I qualify for dac benefits, I applied but I need to know if I’m approved do I still receive my own ssdi and part of my deceased parent?
I was receiving survivor benefits a ms a child but I stopped receiving it at 18 .
Also they said they would switch the benefits but they sent it to dds for medical review, is it true the colateral estoppel was canceled? That it doesn’t apply in my case and my file had to be processed at dds? They did the non medical review first.
Also I applied for the same benefits for my child who receives ssi and I applied on his father record but for his application he only has thre steps not five like my application is there an error? Thanks.
