October 13th 2024, a date to remember. Now on to Mars. Well done everyone at SpaceX & all those involved in this programme. This actually bought a tear to my eyes. Proud of you all from Somerset, England. Wish we had something similar in the UK.
This is the future I was promised 50 years ago.... Thank you SpaceX for delivering. Thanks Tim and Crew for coverage, thanks space fans for great comments, I'm so happy you all are involved and as thrilled as I am.

Hey Tim, I missed it even more than you did. I was up late last night and slept right through the launch this morning. Thankfully I could still go back and watch your live stream. AMAZING.
I did the same thing, I have professional projects to work on. Your not alone, i stayed up last night for work. So i winded up missing the launch as well. The launches is how we reward ourselves, at least with youtube there is those that puts in the work to lend a hand.

I saw the Saturn V rockets take off on a black and white TV back then. Now I see the booster being caught by the chopsticks and Starship coming back in all this in colour via the internet. Great to experience all this.
ABSOLUTELY INSANE. SpaceX is creating a new path to space that no other space company can. This achievement is a stepping stone to an insane future in space.

@sc1338 China is leading the world in solar power production, maglev and high speed trains, EV production, a counterpoint to US economic leverage, and ambitious plans to colonize the moon. Pretty good. Spacex is heroicaly showing a possibility for success for reusable spacecraft. China will show us how to mass produce them whatever form it takes.
When SHB came into frame I was convinced that it would collide with the tower. The fact everything worked perfectly is unbelievable. Congratulations to the team at SpaceX!
Watching that Super Heavy land was amazing, how easy they pulled that. It looked like they been doing tower landings for years. That being said ... Elon add a fire suppresion arm to the tower, that fire was scary.

I was asleep so I couldn't catch it live, but for this is the first Starship IFT with all successes! I'm really looking forward to the next year of spaceflight after this
Congratulations, SpaceX and Elon! (-I do think it's weird that the landing burn *looks* so chaotic, but obv. it works, in concert.... Still, I'm surprised there are that many internal variables...)

The FAA ought to spend more time at Boeing, less at Space X
