If you divorce and remarry before age 60, does that completely disqualify you regardless? So if you were married more than 10 years divorced and remarried before age 60. Now you find yourself single in your mid 60's whether it's through divorce or widowed, that your ex spouse could never be looked at for survivor benefits? It's a one and done deal regardless of your situation when you are in your 60s and older?

How do I find out exactly what my Ex-Husband's benefits are? When I first signed up for SS @ 62 yrs old, I knew I'd take a Reduction in my monthly benefits due to the Early start. Problem is, when i asked about Divorced Spousal Benefits, all they'd tell me is: his benefit wasnt Double mine!! How could this be sunce he Worked good paying jobs Years LONGER than I did??!!
I get less than 900$ per month & while I try my best to manage living off that pittance, it isn't always easy!!
