I will be receiving my first social security retirement benefit deposit April 2024. After waiting to age 70. I find it unpleasantly amazing, that social security rounds down your benefit to the nearest dollar. The government keeps the change, while collecting billions of dollars annually. Social Security is not only a scam, it's a Ponzi Scheme!

Hello sir, as usual you have great information. I'm the start receiving social security next month but I noticed on my earnings statement the day did not include the time that I worked on the railroad how do I get them to include these earnings?

      That's a separate system.

Question: what is the normal processing time for an online application to receive OASDI (retirement benefits)?

If everything is good, about a week or so. But it depends on your particular area and how short staffed they are.

This is my question also...I established an online account with SS back in 2019, when I turned 62. Last day of April, turned 67, and decided day after birthday to file. Still working, full time.
From what I understand, once I get approved, and don't anticipate any problems with that as I've worked 43 years, every quarter, never married, no dependants; have read the first deposit could be as soon as last week of June? Would think last week of July, be the latest. Your thoughts on this?

I will be getting widow's benefits. I can go online and see my account. However, I am not able to see my husband's account. I want to make sure I am getting the correct amount. I do have a phone appointment later this month. Can I have them send a letter with the amount I will get?

Ask them if you can get a print out of his DEQY. That's the detailed earnings record. Please let me know what happens. Thanks, Ed
