Doing great against these American League teams, cannot afford a loss to the White Sox we need both games

The Cubs lineup has a lot of #5,6 hitters of a contending team, and one #3 which is Cody. We need at least a #1 hitter like Betts, Freeman, Otahni, Judge etc to compete for playoff, and another #1 or 2 to compete for championship on the hitting side. Happ, Swanson, Hoener, Suzuki are best #4 hitters, most of them are #5,6, that opponents can’t sleep on them, yet they are not the ones that they would fear!

I’m still trying to understand the Cubs insistence of having Ian Happ as their lead-off hitter? It didn’t work when David Ross tried it and it’s not working now. He hits under .200 as the lead-off hitter but he hits much better when he’s lower in the lineup. Nico Hoerner is a much better lead-off hitter and should be in that spot. Or, the Cubs should start to use PCA, occasionally, in the lead-off position in the line-up, just to see how he handles the responsibility.

This team is all or nothing. They either win games 7-1 or 9-2 but can’t win the 2-0 games or 3-1 games. They’re great when they go but good god, if they’re not hitting, they look absolutely LOST.

Cody Bellinger seems like he could be hampered by the healing middle finger. Is he doing the team an injustice by taking up a roster spot and not being productive at the plate? Should he go back on IL to heal and then come back strong?

Never seen a team that's a lazy as these guys with bats in their hands. Just no effort at the plate especially against a pitcher with a 7 era. No excuses for it. The White Sox will probably end their losing streak against the Cubs if this keeps up

The hitting issue is throughout the organization. The approach is awful. It’s a feast or famine approach. Just look at morel or pca. Not teaching these guy how to make contact; especially with runners in scoring position.

Are many off the Cubs players deliberately are not swinging on first pitch? i’m noticing a lot of good pitches on the first pitch for strikes and they’re not being swung at. So I’m wondering if the opposition has noticed this as well? Am I wrong? The Pirates Brewers and Cardinals are all playing teams that can beat them so let’s hope that over the next several days the Cubs can win and move up in the division.

Happy has no business being a Cub. PCA needs to be in the minors. He is becoming a classic bust.

You guys do realize that the Twins are a good team, right? And the starting pitcher was spot on as well.. I’m bummed out as well, but also know that the Twins are not a team to take lightly. Love this show, but this is a clown take.
