The schedule does seem to lighten up, except for the Twins and MLB-best Indians, plus they'll have to play the Dodgers and Yankees in early September. And the Cubs have struggled with the Pirates, as they have with all teams in their division. That will probably be their undoing in 2024-- that and the blown late-inning leads and month-long team-wide slumps.
Oh dont worry, the moment they get close and someone points out to them that there is something at stake and the pressure goes up to actually MAKE the playoffs.....they will go cold again.
