Ash vs Elesa is the worst gym battle in the entire series. Someone who just finished in the Top 4 "forgets" Grass-types are weak to Flying-types? That's just idiotic and made me rage quit the series until the League.

One day i hope for a 6 VS 6 between Liko and Dot and that it will have the same impact that Ash VS Kukui (latter was the Masked Royal but Kukui battled as his self) had. (In this case Liko would battle her Idol but Dot would decide to battle as herself against Liko with her Full team she also uses in her Streams)

Favorite part of the anime: The main character has soul manipulation powers and it’s never brought up again. Second favorite: He’s been a ghost possessing his own corpse ever since the first season, way back in Lavender Town. It is also never brought up again.

The really crazy thing is that Chimchar went from base to Infarnape between gym 7 and 8. That means that Monferno never had a gym battle.

Liko is a character who reargued about the relationship between a trainer and a Pokémon. Especially when we comparing this episode to how Goh getting his Pokémon. It’s not about a human catching pets to fill one’s Pokédex. But a trainer inviting someone to join the team. Her empathy strengthens their bounds and eventually becomes the power to move forward.

If I had a nickel for every time Roy’s Fuecoco learns a new move during a trainer battle but still lost, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Though it’s very nice to have an episode where Liko slowly regains her memories on her own due to re-experiencing events in past episodes, I thought and hoped the Rising Volt Tacklers would find Liko and have an episode where they try to restore Liko’s memories. I guess the Original episode works with Iono and Nidothing but I would have added Liko still not having her memories throughout the whole episode and have another episode where the Rising Volt Tacklers try to restore Liko’s memories. If you know what I mean. I believe that’s probably a trope of some kind (thinking of Gravity Falls finale but less rushed with a 20 minute episode span) and it might as well be a recap episode in less than 20 episodes in but I think it would have gave Dot the spotlight again where she shows how much Liko means to her.

I love Ash's OG team. Their bond knows no bound. Also, didn't Pidgeot return to Ash too? It'd have been cool if Butterfree somehow returned to Ash as well, even if just to say "Hi". I mean, he "raised" it himself. Would've been a touching reunion.

I've heard someone argue that the 'thunder armor' plot armor can be argued for being swellow's guts ability which would make swellow much stronger. i dnt think that's what the writers intended it to be but it actually makes a lot of sense, not to pikachu tho, dnt know why he went super sayian as well.
