To me this episode deserves a 10. Even the writters consider this episode special. They literally said to fans to that this episode was very special in social media.
I did find it interesting to see them hyping uo the episode before hand... I did really enjoy the episode but if anything, that extra hype made me think it was going to be even better than it was lol

Hahaha I didn't know what to use for the beginning, and my favorite part of that segment was Liko and Roy doing their best Nidothing impression, so I thought it was silly and the Miror B. music fit😅
Liko and Roy being Nidothing's apprentices would be pretty funny though
Im sure they probably set it UP for it to bé an arc later on

this episode did really well in Japan, with the writer and the director promoting it, it got even new people watching who loved it so it might bring new viewers to Horizons
Saddly this séries will probably never bé that Big because of thé Ash fanboys than cant grow UP
You've gotta give it up for Cap with doing Tail Squats!!!!! As well as learning that the RVTs started out with just Friede, Cap, Ludlow, & Orla (as well as learning that Orla is a Kanto-Hoenn native, is childhood friends with Friede, and seeing her before as a construction worker with her partner Metagross being a Metang)
- And I figured the whole Shuckle medicinal Berry Juice was one of the main reason/purpose why Shuckle was part of the crew's pokemon cast. I had the same reason for the other wild pokemon; like Snorunt provides the freezing cold to the ship say for their provisions, or Pawmi as if/when it becomes fully evolved it can help Mollie in her medical training since it's the Defibrillation Pokemon
When I saw that Shuckle juice segment, I highly considered making a joke about that one OS episode when Shuckle got everyone high, but I didn't think it really fit the tone of the episode😂
I love the fact that they actually introduced a pikachu and trainer bond after ash, and made it THIS PERFECT.

I'm giving this episode a 9/10!
That was the one aspect I didn't include in my review (I forgot to write it into my script), but I totally agree with you. I was really hoping that after Ash's Pikachu, they weren't just going to copy/paste a Pikachu into the show for the sake of it. This episode solidified that Cap is a well-thought out character, and he and Friede's bond has been well-written and deserving of being on the show, not just "oh we need a new Pikachu, uhh... Let's put a captain's hat on one!"
@@EliteTrainerMark I agree, cap's not just another pikachu playing dress up, no,it came into this show sitting in the captain's chair ON IT'S TAIL,with it's arms crossed and is always ready kick ass.
Loved the detail of Larry being at the restaurant in the beginning

I like how different this is compared to Journeys I much prefer the series like this, just so simple but the kids are like woah Pikachu was doing some crazy flying stuff last episode and we want to know about it and their dynamics between the 3 kids is so sweet they are best friends and so unique.
I think our last comment exchange about the server actually fixed things. Seeing as the original comment from the GreenTornado is dead account got deleted, that signaled to me that whoever posted it had read our messages. And since then, no issues! So thanks for saving the day!

One of the most unbelievable parts of the entire story is how you just magically appeared from the depths of obscurity and were the one to fix it😂 because we have had no issues with that person since then!

I'm going 10.5/10 on this after a couple viewings (or like ******* 1/2 on the smark wrestling scale lol). This was just so good to me that I had to bust my own scale and go slightly above HZ002 and HZ014, which I went the full monty on. They put a lot of extra love into this episode and it paid off with the storytelling and world building that was done here. I can't wait to see the back stories of the remaining characters, and I have a feeling Dot's backstory is really dark, but we'll see. In the meantime, I'm totally looking forward to next week and the second coming of that Journeys Opal cake decorating episode 😂

I do not care when you come out with your reviews, just looking forward to it every time i am finished watching the episode 1 or 2 times. These reviews keep me hyped a day or two more before the week gets like a normal week is. I gotta be honest this episode I have watched more than 2 times, so I must like it more than the usual episode. I am so looking forward to learning more about the rest of the crew as well!! I just want more and more and more :) oh well back to my normal week and I hope to see a video from you next week again! :D

Something more about the animation, visually, they definitely went above and beyond and the extra details really make the animation stand out more. I really hope they can keep it up if possible. Also, am I the only one who found the interactions between the pokemon super cute: even when on background the pokemon felt more 'alive,' so to speak.
I don't know how to put it, but I really liked the more cinematic(?) looking scenes, overall tone, the sub-plot, and even little details like transitions and the ending scene. I'm a sucker for episodes like this - so despite not having action or anything of the sort, this is my favorite so far yet again. Horizons really is improving itself bit by bit.

Sometimes you can catch a Shuckle holding Berry Juice and if you make one hold a berry, after a while they make more juice.
Bruh your standards for a 10 are higher than Cap’s flying abilities lmao. This ep definitely warrants a 10/10 since it’s basically the origin story for this series! It even has awesome animation & parallels to Ash’s first encounter with Pikachu & getting shocked too with how stubborn and special it is.
If I had to guess, I'd only give like 10 or so episodes *in the history of the anime* a 10/10. So yeah, it takes a lot for me to give a 10/10 rating😅

I haven't actually gotten the chance to watch other reviews yet, I need to see why they gave it a 10/10 haha. I thought this was a great episode, but I feel just fine about my 8/10 rating
@@EliteTrainerMark pretty much the same reason you gave it an 8. Except they were more intrigued with the Origin of the Rising Volt Tacklers, animation, sound design choices, the emotional development in the episode for all the characters, and a bit of backstory with Friede and Lucca.
Got to see more of Lucca's personality as well.
