These Pokemon episodes are weekly, and I am assuming it is pretty hard to commit to for weekly basis, while getting the rest and free time you deserve when you’re not working. Pokemon HZ037: I liked the Roy and Fuecoco focused epsiode. Fuecoco is just so adorable. I am glad to more development between Roy and Fuecoco, and see Fuecoco learning a new move. The Krookodile Gang is giving me the type of relationship of Ash’s Rowlet and Toucannon’s Flock (while Fuecoco wasn’t official raised by them) Pokemon HZ038: I liked the Liko and Hatenna focused epsiode. I am glad to more development between Liko and Hatenna. While Sprigatito is her starter Pokemon it is nice seeing Liko bond with her other Pokemon. It was a fun episode, and very interesting seeing the introduction of Maushold. While getting this was a Liko and Hatenna episode, we got hints Mollie in the episode. I kinda wish Mollie caught Maushold as a reference and inspiration of her own family. Pokemon HZ039: I liked the Dot focused epsiode, she is becoming a very interesting and relatable character. I am glad to see Dot catching Tinkatink and I am interested to see how Tinkatink and Dot will help each others grow. Overall these episodes did have a self contained aspect to them, but I like it. At the end of the day we need to consider, we got to know Ash Ketchum for roughly 26 years. We are just introduced to Liko, Roy, Dot etc so it might take more self contained like episodes to let their character grow.

Ash may be iconic but he's held back the anime long enough. Now that beat Leon, there are no greater heights for him to strive for I'd say the anime is doing fine without him for the most part. However, Liko and Roy still have a ways to go before they are worthy enough to be strong replacements. And I don't mean development or personality, I mean in terms of strength. Liko's weak and submissive nature needs to go and be replaced with drive and a need to get stronger cos we need a girl who actually highly values battling for a change, not a non battler like everyone except Misty and Iris And Roy, he is not only annoying at times but also hopelessly weak, and he has more of an adequate drive to improve than Liko does at times, yet she is doing better than him. Dude hasn't even gotten like one victory yet
I can totally understand real life keeping you from doing regular reviews. I was at least 2 weeks behind on watching them myself until a few days ago. The series as a whole gets like 7 to 8 out of 10 for me so far (or 4 stars **** on the smark scale) and these filler type episodes are giving good character development so no complaints from me. HZ039 is def pushing 9/10 for me too. Dot needs to touch grass more often, there's a battling badass waiting to emerge I think.

Imagine if Tinkaton just grabs Dot's entire PC rig and puts it and the end of a stick and calls it a hammer lol If I had to guess, she will probably evolve during and clutch a battle against Corviknight
I feel like that isn't a bad thing though. But it is questionable pacing to make the first 30ish episodes so story focused only for them to just take a break from the main plot for an extended period of time

Glad to have you back, Mark! I love long RUclips videos, so if it's better for you to make compilation reviews of several episodes at a time, I'm actually down for it. While I've been a little disappointed that Horizons has turned very episodic, I actually like these last three at lot. Roy truly is an enigma, either he successfully befriends wild Pokemon or misses by a long shot, there's no in-between LOL. Hatena is the GOAT! I love when we see Pokemon, and not just humans, overcome their fears and become stronger. And I think this last episode truly sold me on Dot, and her catching her first "actual" wild Pokemon puts her alongside Liko and Roy and I hope for her take a more important role moving forwards than just being Nidothing. She reminds me of Futaba from Persona 5 - this socially anxious, shut-in girl that eventually learns to enjoy the world around her thanks to her friends. Regardless, I can't wait until the Six Heroes arc resumes! See you!
I think the week-by-week reviews are probably better for me on a few levels, but I did like doing this as a one-off. And also love long RUclips videos, so making this is good practice for when I want to make other longer videos in the future
I'm almost 32, and I'm old enough to remember the times when cellphone screens had only two colors, big chunky television screens took a few seconds to light up, and VHS tapes were the primary method to watch movies and record programs.
Absolutely incredible nostalgia flooding in thinking back to watching the OS Kanto series on VHS tapes, and getting furious at my brothers or dad if they taped over the episode of Pokémon I wanted to watch😭

As a young kid, I liked Pokémon only because I wanted to be part of something that everyone else was too. I fell off the franchise at some point, before starting to watch Hoenn episodes first on TV and later on DVD when those started to become a thing. I also remember watching the entire Orange Islands season for the first time when the whole season was on a playlist on RUclips (those were the days...) and being so thrilled when I got to watch the second movie for the first time on TV at our family's summer cottage and getting the first movie DVD as a gift from my godparents and... Aaand now I'm starting to ramble. I have so many memories that remind me of how I got into the anime later than many others of my age group. For example, I never saw a Pokémon movie in theaters. Sigh...

- I loved Fuecoco learned Disarming Voice (reminds me of my game one); And was surprised it inspired Krookodile Family to use Round to help the archaeologists. Albeit in doing so left the RVTs, who were hired for that job, to not be paid - I knew Hatenna would be a Healer!!!! With Heal Pulse, She IS Arboliva's Successor as Next Gen Wound Healer Hero!!! >It was also a bit of a nice touch to see Mollie's caring side. >And now the Brave Asagi is now "infested" with a maushold family. - I thought the episode was quite nice for Dot & Tinkatink!!!!!! But it did kinda Upset me a bit when Roy & Murdock pursued Tinkatink as the culprit. And now Dot has to be a lot careful as even after she caught her, Tinkatink is gonna keep trying to find metal for her hammer; meaning her costume's metal & her streaming equipment (along with the Brave Asagi & anything else metal inside) are still up for grabs in danger of being added to her hammer!!! This series on the other hand, it's such a pleasure to watch, the charachters are relatable (except Roy) and overall I'm so curious to learn more about Lucius and Terapagos, can't wait to see where this gets.
Lol I'm against any shipping of characters that were children so I'll never call myself a Liko x Dot shipper. Dot seems to go out of her way to do things if Liko is involved, but that doesn't make me want to ship the two of them at all, so I'm just making an observation. We more or less knew what was going to happen to Ash in every series, but Horizons has no such restrictions
One day i hope for a 6 VS 6 between Liko and Dot and that it will have the same impact that Ash VS Kukui (latter was the Masked Royal but Kukui battled as his self) had. (In this case Liko would battle her Idol but Dot would decide to battle as herself against Liko with her Full team she also uses in her Streams)
It's always fun when the anime gives Pokémon moves that they can't learn naturally (or at all) in the games. Using Ep 37 of this series as an example, the Sandile line doesn't actually learn Round in Scarlet & Violet. *At all.*
Roy's Fuecoco now has a full set of 4 moves: 🔥Ember, 🌍Stomping tantrum, 🔥Flamethrower, 🌈Disarming voice. If it learns a new move, it need to put one of these moves in the back burner. Interesting that if the kids are not present, the Pokedex identifies a Maushold as a Tandemaus. It's like you can de-evolve a Maushold simply by separating away the kids. How long before Dot's Tinkatink evolves into Tinkaton so that she could whack the daylights out of Amethio's Corviknight?
That the lyrics of the opening say or that girls feelings while Dot is on the screen. raises my theory that Dot has feelings for Liko. Other evidence is that she has purple hair which I don't think is a natural hair color thanks to her uncle. That liko was her first real life friend. And her head turns bright red every time she talks 1-on-1 with Liko. and never with other
Well, this a very interesting Trio of Episodes, with quite some Developments, some having more than others, i like it when the Pokémon gets development. MOM MOM, MARK FINALLY UPLOADED A REVIEW! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! My thoughts on the series so far: I still enjoy horizons for the most part despite the downfalls and negativity. 1st arc was peak, loved it, best start to any anipoke series but then we get to the 2nd arc and it is mostly underwhelming but still had some good episodes to enjoy, even though some were pretty tedious to sit through! MY RATINGS: For the 1st arc, 7.8/10 For the 2nd arc right now, 6.2/10

Well, this a very interesting Trio of Episodes, with quite some Developments, some having more than others, i like it when the Pokémon gets development.
Anyway, with this, the Starter Trio (that being Liko, Roy & Dot) now has all Two Pokémon each, I wonder which the Third Ones will be?
Also, I’ve heard that some people would’ve liked Liko to get a Tinkatink, what do you think of that?

My thoughts on the series so far: I still enjoy horizons for the most part despite the downfalls and negativity.
1st arc was peak, loved it, best start to any anipoke series but then we get to the 2nd arc and it is mostly underwhelming but still had some good episodes to enjoy, even though some were pretty tedious to sit through!
