I had curry on the same day the episode released,and that really adds to my enjoyment for the already delicious meal that I had.

THANK YOU!!! You've earned a new subscriber, i was so upset seeing everyone talking more about "ash returning" than the actual episode.
I've always said that if Ash does return, it will just be a cameo where you will either see his cap, Pikachu on his should or his new shoes he got at the end of his last episode
He's not coming back to the show, the producer of show dropped "well wouldnt be more special if he was reserved for Movies or cameo's as an opponent in league matches?"
8/10 for me. I really liked this episode,the charecter interactions in horizons are just super fun to watch! Even if this was a filler episode, it's a sacrifice that must be made because the animators blew their budget for us with that opening so they deserve a break.
I am hearing some actual decidueye long reach from the people who assume ash is returning just because they showed the same hiker and the four pokemon that technically ANYONE can own. It's like the spider-verse where almost every universe have the same charecters and they all look similar.
The four Ash Pokémon thing is so silly to me lol, I didn't even mention it in my review because it's so pointless. Haven't the Rising Volt Tacklers been hinting at an Ash return this entire time? They have a Pikachu, Charizard, Noctowl, and Snorunt! Coincidence? I think not!

I'm also pretty sure that the anime staff had said that Horizons is still in the same universe from where the series has been up to now with ash, but we're just now at a new protagonist point of view perspective; like we're viewing under a new spotlight
There so many trainer who own pikachu, snorlax, dragonite and gengar, however unlike the other gengar... Ash gengar colors is Unique
Since the info search for the 6 Heroes seems to be clashing with Dot VS Spinel in finding any leads will be a hurdle, I actually though of 1 search possibility: in Friede's research for the last 4 Heroes last ep, his showed present finding frames of Lapras, Entei, & Rayquaza of their sightings; except for Kleavor as a photo. Most fans thought to find Kleavor through its Augurite & in Sinnoh, but how about through the photo?! {i.e. for a fun thought: what-if the photo takes us to meet Perrin & they search for her in Sinnoh of the pic's origin}
I guess they do the reference with the merchand because we almost near the 1st anniversary on ash defeating leon and becoming world champion

I've not been a Dot fan so far, but with episodes like this I'm slowing starting to like the character :). I think it'd be pretty nice for her to catch a Pokemon, sort of to be on-par with Liko and Roy. Speaking of which, it's about time the protagonists catch more wild Pokemon, hope to see more action soon!
Also, you completely nailed it with your Rayquaza theory and with Zirc being a Nidothing fan - I almost jumped out of my seat when it was revealed, - nice job!
I feel like what Zirc's takeaway from the most recent Nidothing video he watched was that he will try fighting with both Rhydon & Skarmory (the power of friends!!!!)

I'll give this episode a 6. I enjoyed the relaxing and fun nature it had. They were some cute and funny moments and I personally believe that not every episode needs to have high stakes to be enjoyable. Character interactions to show their friendship are also an important part of the show.
I found moments like the sudden wall of skwovets and Liko and Roy convincing Dot of doing the heart symbol with her hands pretty funny.
It seems that shiny rayquaza has some kind of relevance beyond just being one of the six pokemon that Lucius had.
In my opinion rayquaza may be actually guiding them in order for them to find the other pokemon. That's why everywhere they go while chasing rayquaza seems to end up with them finding one of the pokemon from the ancient pokeballs (and coincidentally, it's always because Roy ends up running into them). And it's nice to see that the explorers have different approaches and change their plans in order to achieve their goals. We kinda also got to see them interact with each other just like with the rising volt tacklers. I never expected to see Amethio agreeing with Spinel given their relationship.
My theory for it is that I think Rayquaza is searching for his Hero comrades to confirm with them that Lucius is gone. It may be the reason why Rayquaza noticed & glanced at Liko and then flew off when it first emerged from its ball; it could sense its former master's presence in his descendant & could not believe it. In which I think the reason of Rayquaza's search is because it's grieving that Lucius is no more. Which is why I think it's lashing out by making lightning storms (Arboliva's forest was dealt with a forest fire due to a lightning storm AND a lightning storm happened the episode before they made it to the mine with Moltres). And I think Rayquaza's angry venting probably brought back up old sad & angry emotions, feelings, & bittersweet memories towards the Heroes; which was why Arboliva was slightly hostile when the RVTs met it & why Moltres was even angrier in the mine
I wonder if they're setting Spinel up as a personal foe for Dot. Twice now he's fooled her. Plus, they're both intelligent and prefer sitting at a desk most of the time. Spinel was even the one who led to Dot finally touching grass and becoming a proper Trainer.
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions,
personally while Story Progression can be good and all, to me it is secondary to my interest in just spending time with the Characters, after all what good is a Story if you don’t get to know and care about the Ones actually going through it, so I would have no problem with a Episode like this.
As for the Satoshi/Ash thing, yeah I don’t think he will return either, at least not yet anyway, if anything I would believe that we will most likely get to see any of the Supporting Characters from Satoshi’s/Ash’s Adventure, before the man himself, would just make sense, you wouldn’t want the Previous Main Character to return too soon now, would we?
Speaking of which, which Character from Ash’s Journey would you like to see make a reappearance in Horizons the most?
Also, i just want to put this out there, personally I like Sango, I find her interesting.
I agree, I think getting to know the characters and spending time with them is extremely important, so I have no problem with an episode like this either.
Ash is the character I want to see return most, but I don't want that to happen for a LONG time, and for it to fit in with the story. Other than him, I would say Team Rocket, because they were my always some of my favorite characters.
And I think I am in the vast minority when it comes to disliking Sango, I think most people really like her😅
@@EliteTrainerMark hm, okay that is fair, however i feel like saying Ash and Team Rocket is a little too easy, I can understand it, they have been the most recurring Characters Pre-Horizons, but still are there any Characters besides them that you would like to see again in Horizons?

I think we will see Ash and Team rocket visit next year maybe spring. My biggest question for Horizons is how will they carry Liko, Roy ,Dot to the future gens. For horizons looks great havent seen it yet. But their goals can be meet in one Generation they their halfway almost to finding the 6 heros .i am curious how it will carry over for longevity.
I can't wait for this pokemon season to be revealed for Netflix in English so when will the new season of Pokemon horizons come to Netflix and start the real season.
This episode is the whole reason why I ship Riko and Dot.
I admit I didn't watch a lot of Pokemon before (only Black & WHite and XYZ) but I didn't find any significance to the hiker after watching all the videos that highlight him. So I'm glad I saw a video that didn't hype him up (or Ash). I just think he's good for a fun fact.
That's HARD to say since BOTH his Japanese and English dub actresses are still ALIVE.
My only complaint this episode is there's no Murdock scenes. With it being a Dot episode, you would assume Murdock would try to get closer to her. I'm glad to see Dot's friendship with Roy and especially Liko become closer, but so sad for Murdock.

I had no recollection of the hiker nor of JN101 so I didn't fall into that trap 😅 but it was cute/borderline cringe watching that freakout happen. But in their defense, *IF* they were to tie the timelines together, it would start like this with the thinnest possible thread and gradually evolve. I guess by HZ145 we should know for sure.
I like the good cop/bad cop routine Liko and Roy pulled to get Dot to make that heart. That padded an extra point to make it a 7/10 for me 😂
It was that episode with Thwackey and the hiker guy wasn't there that long; only at the beginning briefly

I’m pretty sure most of the community were complaining about Ash and wanted him gone. Now they be complaining that they got what they asked for.
Just enjoy Horizons people, it’s already better than most of Ash’s seasons. Ash doesn’t need to be in Pokemon for it to be good. Horizons is a good show without him.

It’s confirmed Ash is coming back next season! I guess we’ll see how he’s doing and how much stronger he’s gotten since the World Coronation Series. A supporting character helping Liko and her friends save Paldea from the Paradox Pokemon that are entering their world.
