Great review I liked how this was a Roy focused episode. Beyond that it was a fuecoco and Wattrel focused episode; seeing them train was just perfect it gave me Ash Ketchum training but doing it his own way. While the combination was cool, is Roy even allowed to throw fuecoco and Wattrel into battle for the purpose to power up Wattrel’s Spark? This episode is relaxing and fun, and I cant wait to see the next episode and to see Frede and Captain Pikachu’s origins.
Since Horizons doesn't seem to have any organized battling, I think Roy's strategy could work in instances like when they are going all out against The Explorers
I loved how the EP opened Liko's mind to catching new pokemon; it brings a good contrast between her & Roy. Roy was always surrounded by pokemon on his island so catching a new friend felt natural. While Liko was always by herself before Sprigatito & RVTs (I mean both her parents worked & she was a shy loner around others). And cool to see Charizard's Air Slash & Wattrel's Spark & confirmed Uproar {not Growl}. Plus it was interesting to see that Cap uses his tail like a wing and/or fin to flap in the air so that he can somewhat fly/maneuver while airborne

When Roy and Captain Pikachu used new moves in the battle, and they almost succeeded, Liko showed a gentle smile with a little blush, and praised Roy in his heart that this was a good attempt. It shows that both liko and roy care deeply about each other, which is fine. I personally like this part the most and dot give roy a lot of valuable advice, help improve the relationship between Fuecoco and Wattrel, and happy for roy when he succeeds. Pokemon Horizon is successful in terms of character development, interaction and growth, and I'm happy about it
imagine, just imagine if Fuecoco loves Roy's hat so much,he decides to keep it, and when he goes into battle, he flips his hat backward, to get into battle mode
If Alola’s going to be the next destination, I feel like the group is going to meet Lana at some point since the show is making a pattern with people seeing the Black Rayquaza: * It was first seen by Brassius (a Grass type specialist) * It was then seen by Kabu (a Fire type specialist) Lana seems like the obvious choice because she was popular in the SM anime & she has a passion for Water types. The only other person I can see sporting Rayquaza id Sophocles due to his interest with space & connection with the Hokulani observatory (if Horizons exists in the same universe as Ash’s)

I have done exactly one stream, idk if it's still up there or not since I know Twitch doesn't keep old broadcasts up forever. You know me well enough to be able to imagine how this goes - I get an idea one day, I'm really excited to stream myself doing a Nuzlocke for the first time ever. I come up with plans, I talk about how excited I am to stream, I delay it a little bit, people ask me if I'm still going to do it... I stream once playing a Pokémon Ruby Nuzlocke for an hour... people ask me when the next stream will be... weeks go by... and that's about where I'm at haha. My interests and priorities change so frequently that I just haven't committed to that project. You can probably remember me doing something similar like a dozen times. So *yes,* I have streamed on Twitch, but I don't do it regularly. My current plan is to catch up on some other projects I need to get done, then I might set up some kind of regular streaming thing. But for now, I just have that link to my Twitch sitting there.

Since I don't really like Roy I didn't care that much about this episode. However as the Liko x Dot shipper I was happy to see Liko embaressed to even enter Dot's room. I wonder how Dot could feel about dating a fan, would it be strange? What psycological impact could this have. What do you mean a kids anime?
I've been pretty impressed with how they have positioned Liko as the lead character. Roy is also at the forefront, but feels secondary to Liko, which comes as a surprise because I figured they would be afraid to put a girl as the lead character of the show. I think Roy adds a fun dimension to Horizons, much like Ash's companions did with him when he was the lead
