What did you think about Season 1 of Pokémon Horizons?
It was great but seriously I highly doubt anyone is going to make friede pokemon faint he is champion level with only 2 Pokémon and if he gets more gimmicks for just these 2 he will be more powerful not to mention him getting more Pokémon like squirtle which he evos to blastoise, lucario, gengar etc. Since he is pretty much adult ash if he was a professor/adventurer instead of a champion. Also he doesn’t knock out onyx Pokémon just knocks it back its sango attack that does knock it out. Can’t wait to see what region they go to next I hope it’s alola.
I think it was a nice setup.
I liked it , they revealed a lot of things which created the want to know more about everyone. And what is the point of the villains? What is amethio trying to get? Why does Diana know so much. What is the connection of terrapagos and the 6 Titan Pokemons?
I just want to know what is the whole point of the story
@@selinarahaman6489 like what we already know a lot for only being in ep 32? This treasure hunt will be 1 of multiple and it will constantly unfold with new discoveries and information like any good treasure hunt.
This was such a good episode finding out that the explorers were Lucius’s friends made my jaw drop

@@HyrulelovesGamesLucius adventures was at least 100 years ago since that is how long lucca says rayquaza was stuck in the ancient pokeball so the original explorers that traveled with him are not the same explorers we have now but there is a possibility of them being the explorers descendants and its why gibeon picked them. Gibeon is definitely from Lucius time and he uploaded his consciousness into some tech or he is a spirit sealed away.
Considering that we learned in this episode that the Explorers were actually allies/friends of Lucius, Perhaps Lucius created the Explorers to help search for Rakua and Gibeon usurped him for not disclosing the paradise's location
@@MarcusMapua right gibeon is the only one I think is from Lucius time the others are died but could be the descendants of the teens he has chosen. Also I really think that all the teens are orphans with no parents because they are died or left them at a orphanage. I know I would love if mollie was sango mom and she left her at a orphanage because she was young and didn’t think she could raise her since she ran away from home and is on the streets with no money and nothing to eat and thinks sango will be better with someone else.
I love the new direction by Chapter of the anime ! The plot is really more interesting than before !
I am glad they made it *completely* different, and not just Ash's story 2.0
I absolutely love Horizons so far, this episode was really solid for me. My only *nitpick tho - I was sorta hoping Liko and Roy would end up facing off against Sango and Onyx instead of just leaving it to Cap and Friede. Yeah, I know they woulda been horribly wiped, but tbh, the idea was kinda right there. Liko could have some “we can’t just sit around and let Friede throw himself in the line of fire for us” sort of speech, and have Sprigatito vs. Garganacl and Fuecoco vs. Glalie. Then when they’re in trouble, have Cap come in and save them.
That being said, the episode’s already really good on it’s own. I haven’t had this much fun watching the anime in years.
I’ve got a little Theory that Lucias’s sixth Pokémon isn’t actually Entei but whatever the Paradox Entei is
I am 50/50 on whether that will be the case. I wouldn't be surprised either way
Liko had to save Hatenna or else it would have one shot all six Explorers at once with a single Dazzling Gleam

Actually, Cap never defeated Garganacl. Its eyes were lit up until it got caught in Glalie's Self-Destruct.
The battles in this episode were Insane!!!!!! And now we've got confirmation of the remaining Heroes!!!!- Sea Crosser Lapras (which was very obvious), Wall Breaker Kleavor (this one was a bit puzzling due to Kleavor known for breaking trees than walls; rock walls due to the book illustrations), & Land Galloper Entei (most likely its Scarlet Paradox due to its looks). And now the Search Begins!!!!! Albeit the search is going to be harder considering these last Heroes. Most people would think Lapras might be Kanto but it is a very well-known global seafaring pokemon; I suppose searching for Kleavor would be in Sinnoh considering Hisui, & then Paradox Entei would be possibly Paldea Area Zero {even if it was regular Entei, it's a Roaming Pokemon so it could have been anywhere in the world} (that is also to say that unless both Entei & Kleavor are in Area Zero due to Zero's significance)
- I also loved that in the battles that Zirc actually took Dot's Nidothing Advice when she answered his comment from her livestream and had his Rhydon learn Sandstorm!!!!!!
I would give it an 8/10 because I find characters like Sango absolutely a blast to watch, but I also agree that the way Cap beat Sango and Onyx really reduced them as threats for the rising volt tacklers

I can't wait for Liko to ride into battle on her Galarian Moltres and command Entei to destroy her opponents. Oh and Sprigatito will be there too I guess
When Terastalization was first introduced, it was believed to be exclusive only to the Paldea region. The S/V Teal mask DLC proved that Terastalization could also happen in other regions such as Kitakami, though it could be attributed to the Kitakami's crystal pond.
This episode proved that although Tera orbs must be obtained in Paldea, Terastalization is not dependent on location, and a trainer with an active Tera orb can terastalize their Pokemon anywhere in the world, just like how in the Sun and Moon anime, Ash and Kiawe could execute Z-moves while on a field trip to the Kanto region.
However, while Z-crystals seem to self-recharge overtime, Tera orbs must be recharged manually at a Paldean Pokecenter. My guess is that such orbs are recharged by syncing their energy with a sample of pristine Tera crystal from Area Zero. Since Friede is far away from Paldea, he'll have to recharge his orb directly from Terapagos itself.
I remember being very confused how Z-Moves could work outside of Alola, and I still don't fully understand it.
With Terastalization, to me I have always assumed that a Tera Orb would work outside of Paldea, but then as you said, how does it get recharged? I hope they explain this process and not just ignore it
I suppose going Tera can work outside Paldea since a Tera Orb is charged with Tera Energy to perform the Terastalization; meaning a one-time use just outside the Paldea in this case (all we know of so far with Teras is that Tera Orbs can be recharged at Pokemon Centers & that's it). I really do hope we learn more about this feature.
I feel like it's similar to what they did in the anime with Z-Moves, but they never explained it as Z-Moves are only possible as long as they are under "the light of Alola of when Necrozma's Ultra Wormhole irradiated the region" to makes these moves possible
@@EliteTrainerMarkZ-crystals could work outside of Alola, in the original SM games Samson Oak send some of crystals to Blue for research purposes
Friede rolling his r's was probably because the featured pokemon was Charizard. It's his starter, the man's proud.

i really hope that when they track down Entei, they either come across Paradox Entei first, or they find Entei, it turns out it was a pokemon Lucius refers to as Entei but to which others describe as "not the Entei they have read about"

I'm on the fence with Lapras & G-Max. I think it'll depend on how long ago Eternatus had come to Galar though if we're considering the past to the present of when Lucius had come to Galar (esp. since Lucius was alive 100 years ago) to the present when Professor Magnolia studied the Dynamax Phenomenon. I mean like becoming G-MAX & MAX as became common in modern ages such as through the Max Bands due to the lore & background knowledge of Galar from game lore. Cause I mean it's not like Max Bands existed around the time Lucius was still around. Due to game lore, pokemon only become MAX-mons only if they get immersed in Galar particles such as from Power Spots
Hope Liko isn’t invincible and actually gets hurt. because no pain no gain.
To be fair, she has already gotten her partner Pokémon kidnapped, and she herself got hypnotized and robbed. That's pretty rough for just 25 episodes in lol

ESPECIALLY THE ENDING IS GOOD AND SEASON 2 IS PREMIERING SOON AND I TRUST THAT WILL BE AS GOOD AS THE SEASON 1 FINALE!!
The war for the great mysteries has just begun.
This finale couldn't have been better in my opinion. Besides the fantastic Friede/Amethio battle, we finally got to see the general attitude of the rest of the admin Explorers. Something that I think is important to pick up on is how they were carelessly harming wild Pokemon; and if we take Onia's reaction as genuine, then we can say that Amethio's group at the very least condemns harming bystanders. I wonder if that will be relevant later on.
Regardless, fantastic review as always - time to catch up yet again 😅
I was already a fan of Roy and liko just as I am for ash since I’ve known ash since I was 3 in 2000 for 23 years. I’ve already a fan of pokemon horizons. I’m always going to like the pokemon anime since I’ve been watching for literally years and all of my life. I’m curious as to where horizons goes whether gen 9 lasts 3 or 4 years. I wonder which of Roy and Liko’s pokemon will evolve or if they will evolve. I do miss some of the things like camping with the characters and traveling to other places like cities and towns in each region that the anime would do whether if it was for contests, gyms, or other filler related episodes. Nothing in this world beasts waking up at 8 or 7 in the morning to watch the Pokémon anime at least for me for all those 23 years. Even sometimes before school or on the weekends. I will never mock the Pokémon anime. I simply can’t do it. Not in my soul or anywhere else. The Pokémon anime is very enjoyable and especial to me for all the flaws and strengths. I will never get up on the anime ever. Ash leaving did leave me speechless since I’ve known him since I was 3 in 2000 for 23 years. But I can not just give up on the anime no matter what. I watch the Pokémon anime not just for ash and the characters, but the moments, and the Pokémon themselves. Before I played the games and the spin off games, all I knew were the movies and the anime. I’m only 26 years old, I can’t wait to see what else the anime has in sort like always. It’s just business as usual for me with the Pokémon anime.
Something that I want to point out is that the reason why Friede made Charizard use a physical move despite trying to avoid hitting Ceruledge was to get rid of the of the rubble that was going to fall towards Charizard but Amethio took the chance to make Ceruledge take the hit and activate its ability.
Also, considering that the first season is technically over now that you have more context about the show and the characters you could potentially update/modify the bingo card a bit to use scenarios that you now think are likely to happen in S2. Like maybe some backstory for some of the other rising volt tacklers gets revealed, Amethio and his team get more backstory as well, maybe an evolution or something like that.
By the way, out of curiosity since you had your nitpicks about Sango in this episode: What kind of personality were you expecting from her? I personally didn't expect her to be an ice type user since I was convinced that due to her japanese name she'll be a water type user.
I personally give this episode an 8/10 by the way.
That is a fair point about Charizard, I just thought it was funny when Friede went from "I'm not going to to use physical moves" to screaming for Dragon Claw literally 5 seconds later hahaha
I think I like the Bingo card the way it is, I want it to remain the same the whole time and not edit it, and I especially don't want to add in things that are more likely to happen than what is already on there. I want it to be difficult for us to get Bingo!
I did not have any expectations for Sango. I wouldn't really even say I have nitpicks about her, I think she is more interesting than Onyx because she is more annoying, and therefore easier to dislike! If anything, it was meant as a compliment that I am not a fan of hers, we are supposed to dislike the villains😅
We know a little bit about all of the RVT what backstory are you wanting to see like I want to know more about dot because we got almost nothing on her but she had to be severely bullied or something to not have a face to face conversation with her uncle in a while and the whole eating thing where it was not cooked food but like health bars only till she ate the donuts. Also I kinda fear for the teens with how they react to hamber they go quite and stand up straight unlike a normal teen that would turn their heads and cross their arms but its normal for pokemon when they’re is a adult and kid/teen on the villains side there is always abuse, neglect/abandonment or manipulation and it would not surprise me if hamber punished the teens by having dusknoir show them their worst fears and the first one to get out is going to be amethio with zir and conia then sango, then onyx, then agate and spinel last and I hope they are in a airship like friede where there is 8 rooms and 8 seats at the table.

Honestly those scenarios are kinda edgy and silly.
You'll never see bullying in pokemon and much less an adult torturing a kid using a pokemon.
I know that they can give them great backstories without having to go such an edgy and silly route.
@@giboit. have you seen any of the anime or games none of this is out of reach for what we got like ash has died so many times and lysander tried to kill the main character not to mention all the villains with kids have some abuse, abandonment or manipulation. Team rocket threw bombs at the kids and Giovanni hurt Gary with mewtwo. Pokemon has always been edgy as you say.

Thanks! And no, I'm not worried about copyright. When I started making episode reviews, it was a trial and error process figuring out what ShoPro would flag for copyright and what they would not flag. After a while, I got a good sense of what was allowed, and I have followed that since. I haven't gotten any copyright issues in over a year now, so I feel like I have nothing to worry about, unless their rules change

This was worth my time
8/10 for me. It would've been a 9 or 10 if the battles except friede and amethio's weren't so cheesy. It pains me to see zir and conia get their asses kicked again and then just leave,same goes for onyx and coral. (I thought the explorers were supposed to be dangerous) but apart from that,what an episode this was! There were big reveals after big reveals like the six heroes and the preview for the shining terapagos arc was amazing (on liko's part)
I'll give the first chapter of horizons an 8.1/10. Best first arc/season of any pokemon series!
It seemed to me like they created an unwinnable situation for themselves - introduce more Explorers characters and make them seem threatening, but also have the Rising Volt Tacklers pull through and show off all their strength in this big finale episode. I wonder how the Explorers will rebound after this, since they were so easily defeated this time

@pixelsaidon5032 I feel the opposite on that one, Zirc and Onia can get OHKO'd every time but why are the new admins getting destroyed😅
And, to be fair to Zirc, his Rhydon was never KO'd, he was set to continue battling before Onyx showed up. Maybe Zirc would have used Nidothing's strategy and won the battle!!!

No issues, per se. A big factor is that I am just in a different stage in my life than I was during Journeys. I just recently started working full time, and I have much less free time to work on RUclips.
Plus, during Journeys the subs would come out in the early afternoon on Friday for me, while Horizons episodes take until late Friday night for the subs to come out, meaning I cannot really work on my reviews on Friday, which is typically when I would make my Journeys reviews.
And also, Horizons episodes have given me way more stuff to talk about than Journeys. This video was almost 15 minutes long, and that can mean up to several more hours of work for me as opposed to my Journeys reviews that were typically 10 minutes or less.
So it's a combination of things! In a perfect world, I will always post on Saturday, but things are far from perfect at the minute😅
I'm going to miss ash but horizon is amazing the first two episodes blew me away the captain Pikachu backstory was beautiful season 1 finally was amazing and the story is the best we've ever had

Anyway, this was a very interesting Episode, it seems like the real Ongoing Narrative is on the move now, let’s see how this will go.

I find terrastilization such a dumb concept but I consider myself more of a fan that grew up with the pokemon franchise in the 90s.
I think its not really entei and may be the new paradox entei which will come later in dlc.
All we do know is that Entei's Scarlet Paradox will have it being a Fire/Dragon type; and based on the book illustrations of it would be that is is a bigger/bulkier wooly behemoth-like Dragon
I just hope they add more random Pokemon battles.
I'd love for more battles too. Just so that it can help develop Liko's inner battle potential
@@MarcusMapuaYeah, or else Pokemon has lost its meaning. It's just too much dialogue that doesn't help the characters to reach potential when it comes to Pokemon battles.
@@NRaacheI mean I can cut it some slack since Horizons is brand-new & it's trying to be somewhat more distinct than what the anipoke path has been all these years. I can be patient & wait for the series to develop itself as a series & as well as the heart of battling
@@MarcusMapuaAll I hope is more Pokemon interaction and battling in the future, but I'm afraid it's not the case since the characters seem to be traveling through air which skips a lot of trainers to explore.
@@NRaachewell we are going to all the regions after all. But it seems like with Galar & Paldea, they just pick a random spot to land and then explore the region on foot towards their goal; so there is indeed possibly hope for interaction & battling then
