I'm a leftie and even I thought these episodes went too far. Still clinging onto the hope that one day we'll get Robert Holmes type stories again, but Disney will never allow that. I'm not against New Who, I didn't even mind some of Jodies era, but the musical number was just too much lol.

While I agree with some of your points. The only one I could reason back with episode 1 Millie had only been through the time stream to the past once. So therefore butterfly effect immediately affected her. By episode 2 - she has been through the time stream a few times. So could potentially be protected via artron energy But honestly... I don't know anymore.

Didn't like the first episode came across as childish pretty sure my 8yr old would have loved it tho and the second episode was great until the grease cameo at the end gonna see what the next episodes can bring

I actually loved the new episodes, they were fun and thrilling, and certainly creative. I enjoying the step towards the fantastical, powers beyond creation to whom the rules don't apply. The Space Babies were interesting, and interesting play on the logic of storytelling, and the Devils Chord was fun, Maestro was a blast, loved their energy. Also, sidenote, the reference to the Star Trek Crossover was brilliant, would be nice to see that in live action. Eitherway, looking forward to the new episodes.

I gagged when Jody Whittaker talked about her companions as her "fam". Jody is a good actress, so clearly it was the bad writing. I'd hoped the bottom hit during her tenure was an aberration from shifting management and writers. Now, I just absolutely cringed when new Dr Who hugs himself in smarmy self-satisfaction while telling the baby everybody is always born wonderful. This is pathetic. At first, I thought being absorbed into Disney would only mean Dr. Who becomes a sad pre-teen "family" show. A kiddie show. But having watched both episodes, it worse. It's now a kiddie show with smarmy political overtones that actually hard for an adult to watch.

The good news is that the series can only get better from here because the 1st two episodes were gawd awful. I’ll still continue to watch because I have hope but if the whole season is like these first 2 episodes, I will be leaving Dr Who as a fan. 😊

I did not think you could get worse than Jody Whittaker, but honestly this take on the doctor is truly appalling. Even removing the woke messaging, the writing is terrible and the show now only defecates on the amazing history of this previously entertaining and long running show. Very sad. You are correct (and justified in your diatribe) - this is not Doctor Who. It is some sad parody of the original. It is not even a dumbed down kids version. It is just dreadful. Doctor Who died with Peter Capaldi.
