He does understand if they focus on good writing and cut out the virtue signalling he might get somewhere!
You watch the damm thing?
Good god I stopped watching that shortly after Jodie took over!
Briefly glanced at a couple of clips from 14 so I do understand the scale of the mess and agree with Christopher Eccleston’s assessment on the matter.
He DOES understand. RTD is a great writer. That's the issue though. He just doesn't care.
@@JeremiahEcks777 Watch his old interview, he cares his Rose soap opera.
"Anyone if they apply themselves hard enough will succeed"
No. It's "CAN succeed". Success is never guaranteed. Not for me, you, your grandkids, etc. There are even people who can fail upwards with little effort while someone who applies themselves hard enough ends up committing suicide after decades of rejection and failure.
Having said that. That's not an ethnic problem in the west.
Actually on topic of Doctor Who: Doctor Who was always somewhat progressive in nature but it has gotten to the point where it likes to insult the viewer and its own cast of characters quite a lot now. Progressivism became more of "If you're not on our side. You're trash!" rather than trying to subtly influence people into acceptance. Being accepting of others and their views is just basic decency. It's telling when someone will say: "This wasn't liked because: bigots".
“White Mediocrity”?
Like Barbie Movie?
When the diversity hire who's casting was to tick boxes wants to talk about ''White mediocrity''. Ironic
Better that Dawlekstrek.
The reboot managed to reach a lower viewership in 13 years than the classic series ever managed in its 26 year run, and the classic had a smaller population to draw those numbers from!
If you were a multi- billionaire who hated the English, you'd probably sponsor Dr.Who too.
Why am i being recommended this
Why did you click on it?
@@JoeTheUberGeek morbid curiosity
@@bl_nderscore Same here, I image a good chunk of the views are the same.
@@JengoFate Possibly. Though it may have been relevant to something you watched or discussed elsewhere. RUclips works like that.
I see your half and raise you four-fifths.
Which part of this was intended for people with a sense of humour, because this just felt like a fair reaction to a horrible situation.
You would be surprised how many people on this platform would say that I'm an awful human being for even talking about this, lol.
If I think about it, Gatwa's comments display his massive ego. "Look how wonderful I am. I overcame all of this bias. Bask in my glory, plebs!" Another great video.
BTW
I still have the VHS, Lazerdisc, cassettes tapes, books, DVDs, CDs, Blu-rays
The only ones I'm missing are the betamax
I refuse to touch anything past peter capaldi
Nice! I have a VHS collection of 90s TV i.e. X-Files, Various comedies.
@@JoeTheUberGeek I failed mention I have about 18 variant of the same story
His feelings about being loved aren't a social thing, they are a family thing. So if he had a crap family then it's hardly anyone else's fault. And maybe he's just a smart ar*e so wasn't particularly popular.
I love DW always have but over the years it's lost its way it's more about the message now than entertaining us . Not only DW but now if you don't like something we're homophobic, racist , misogynistic and other wise . Actors in these type of roles are just mouth pieces for the establishment. I'm sick of being told because of my ethnicity and beliefs that I'm Somehow wrong or lesser .
Superb video. Spot on.
Doctor who died in 2017 as far as I'm concerned.
No 1989
@@mahfuzurchowdhury2765 No 1963
100% agree. #RIPDrWho
is this a joke video or are you just pretending to be a boomer? i dont believe your joking
So, sorry … Really! I am sorry for your loss.
There is an aching in my chest that has become a soft dull hollow, growing since the early 2000s. Marvel was a glimmer of hope, with Star Wars burning in the background, Star Trek simmering in its own frying pan. Then Disney made my Fandom ‘The Happiest Place On Earth’.
The recent Gamer Silliness and now 40k. 😔
… so, yeah; I feel ya.
Yeah, yeah, many say the same about the Moffat era years ago.
You will love the new RTD.
I'll enjoy ripping it to shreds, if that is what you mean!
@@JoeTheUberGeek It's the typical cycle of a Doctor Who fanboy: First you hate it and then you love it.
So he stops being paranoid about seeing patterns in things that don't exist, as the Eighth Doctor would say.
I hated even the old RTD. What I mean by that is: he is a great writer, I mean his dialogues are top notch but he always screwed something up in an episode, like some thing that ruined everything, like he just threw logic out ot the window. Oh and don't get me started about Moffat... I loved his writing in every episode he wrote for the 9th and 10th Doc, but then his leadership came and DW just took a completely different route.
@@cryalot378 Yeah, the soap opera melodrama of Rose and this crybaby Doctor.
While Moffat remember that Doctor Who is a insane show about time travel and crazy adventures.
@@mayotango1317 It feels like he is focusing on that way too much plus his episodes tend to be overcomplicated sometimes (talking about 11th and so on). Also usually ignoring a character's development :/. Like so much sh*t has happened to Amy and she feels unborthered by any of that. Oh and what in the heavens has he done to River.
