Sounds pretty loud do u know the db sound level?
This was an extremely helpful video. I have never used one of these tools. Thank you for breaking it down so basic.
What is that chain for?!
Thank you, your video helped a lot! I just got mine yesterday and have no idea what I am doing. I turned it on and it scared me… I am not used to that powerful of a saw. I am going to find someone to do an in person lesson so i don’t loose a limb.
I just bought a upgrade Portland saw it doesn't need a wrench to tighten the chain.
I’m planning on getting this in a few weeks so excited
How has the trimmer held up?
very well, I use it a lot and it is now my main corded trimmer, no issues with it -lots of power, so much that you need to use a better line with it - I use www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9RJW9GX square line with a helical twist, very rugged, stands up to a fence very well, see video for details - ruclips.net/video/XgpDyVAxzg8/видео.html - great trimer, works great every time I use it, good autofeed design, just a good overall design and no issues - thanks for subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews do you know if there's an after market cutting adapter that's not string that I can use on this?
I bought this router several years ago and set it aside for use in a router table. The collar size matches that of a Porter Cable 960 (88.9mm) for anyone looking to install it in a lift.
it is a copy of a portal cable router, probably from the same factory, look i the comments for the exact model - thanks for subscribing!
I just burned out the motor on my 2019 Warrior. It started smoking and quit. I checked on buying a motor but found it to be priced near $45 !!! So, today I bought another Warrior for $29 + tax. I'm sure I paid less than $25 for the 2019 one. Now I have 2 batteries, a plus. The convenience this drill offers with its light weight handling beats using a corded drill. I still have 2 corded drills but infrequently use any tools anymore being 73 yo. The tool I wish they had 55 years ago is the Oscillating Multi tool. Real handy. PS If I find a motor for the Warrior, I would still repair the drill. Who would sell such a part retail for $10? That's about all it is worth to me to buy one.
HF rarely has parts for tools, best bet is to look at goodwill and thift stores for cheap drills, motors are different sizes between brands, so unlikely to interchange, but you might get luck and find a warrior, but a new one for $30 is a more convenient deal, I also like to fix tools instead of buying new ones, I have a pile of old drivers, waiting for a battery rebuild - I have all the parts, but not the time, and the newer drills are so nice - thanks for subscribing!
Can we add external hard drive to cobra?
the cobra will not recognize external drivers, I've tried, see my setup video for the new 4K system and I demonstrate it there - better to but a large WD external and 'shuck' the case and install internal, search the internet for compatibility, lots of good info out there, a few manufacturers set for external only, I do this for server harddrives - odd but externals cost a lot more than externals, the trick is to do the research and make sure the exterals are really just internals in a case with a USB<->SATA adapter and a power supply - thanks for subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews thank you very much . Other question If I Save recording videos in external hard drive instead flash drive , do you think will work? Or if I add 10 TB to the system , do you think will work? Thank you.
I'm not mechanical and although I wanted this saw, I wasn't going to buy it until I saw your video. Thanks so much for the detailed instruction!
thanks for the positive comment, I really like this saw, I use it a lot to do trimming, very nice to have a long saw, although makes trimming a lot easier, and great power - thanks for subscribing!
do you know if you can swap the 5 inch disc sander for a wheel sander (bench grinder style)
while it is possible - at least theoritically, I'm not sure it is practical, the shaft is what I see as the problem, finding a wheel that would fit would be the issue, or finding an adapter that would make it fit would be hard to find - not impossible - doing that does sound good, especially if you had a small show, it would have a lot of space, and I have several tools that have a disc sander as a secondary tool, and I don't need that many - if you come up with a way to do this, please share the details - thanks for subscribing!
Do you know where I cand find replacement parts? I can't find the cap to mine.
you can contact HF customer service and ask about parts, their number is on their website - but you can check the product page on their website, they normally have a PDF with any parts that are available, HF is not known for offering a lot of spare parts....... thanks for subscribing!
Thank you.. very helpful ☺️
Glad it was helpful! thanks for subscribing!
Hi. Is it normal to be able to easily slow and even stop the motor when using a wire wheel?
it might be painful on a wire wheel if you use your hand, but yes, it is relatively easy to stop any grinder wheel or wire wheel, the motor has plenty of speed, but not a lot of torque, so if you apply pressure to the wheel, it will slow the motor - I am surprised that people use a sander attachment on a grinder, because as soon as you apply pressure to the sanding belt, the grinder slows down and stops - thanks for subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews Thanks! Helpful!
I went to pick one of these up today and apparently they discontinued them and left us with no other options for a router table which seems odd because most of the time they just rebrand something.
I agree on the rebrand, they are trying get rid of all drill master and chicago electric and build up warrior and bauer, with bauer going mainly battery powered, but they are pulling products a lot lately, their video systems disappeared, usually they do a discontinue first, if they just disappear, that might be a sign they are out of stock, which removes them from the website, store shelf space, and they will eventually come back into stock, but with no announcement, but no guarantee - you find future products before they are announced or released by searching their manuals, manuals for new products are available on the website about a year before they are announced, not easy to find, but available
Did you buy that to work on your car?
no I explained in the video that I use it on my power tools, I have normal grease guns for my car, normal grease guns are too hard to use inside items like a table saw, planer etc, if you try to use this on your car, you would have to be desperate and several refills on hand - watching the video answers most questions like this
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews I was just pulling your leg
I just bought mine today. I don’t need to fill the hydraulic oil like the warning sign say right? I am assuming that it’s already been filled before use. Basically, if it doesn’t go up. It might need some hydraulic oil. Otherwise, no need. Please advice. Thanks in advance!!!
I checked the fluid when I bought it, and waited until it did not lift to check it again, added fluid, it worked, should be checked more often, but I don't trust any jack, I always put some type of brace under what I'm lifting, just in case, I'm happy with this jacks, I use it several times a year, worth having on hand - thanks for subscribing!
Thank you so much. "Duh" on my part!
I had the same problem is why I made the video! - thanks for subscribing!
Nice review. Def lot of dust, good comment on adjustments to 0 and sloppy loose fence. Thank You.
glad you found the video useful - thanks for subscribing!
My nailer is leaking air at the top tech support says it has to be an o ring in the top. I found 1 o'ring damaged replaced it still leaking .I would like to how that stuff is replaced and put back together any help out here.
I would check the seating and make sure the fit is perfect, and make sure the oring is wet with pneumatic oil when you re-assemble - HF recommends putting a drop of oil in the intake before every use to ensure the orings don't dry out - when they dry out, they leak - please provide more information on what state the orings are in and how you fixed it - thanks for subscribing!
I've had this system for 6 years operating with 6 cameras and have had zero complaints or interruptions with it. I am Looking for 2 additional cameras but I noticed Harbor Freight has discontinued the Cobra Line. Do you have any information on getting suitable cameras to work with this system?
you will need to get the manual, check snapwhole.com for the manual, and get the technical spec of the camera, it seems like there is an endless number of protocols and media, so finding the right one might take a little time, amazon prime is your friend, you can easily return cameras that do not work with the system - supposedly any h.264 coax fed 1080p camera will work, but I have zmodo system and the cameras do not work between the systems - thanks for subscribing
I just pick up this jigsaw. Lolol, I'm retared!!! I put the blade and I thought I had bound up the blade against that gard because after I plugged it in, I pulled on the trigger and nothing! I heard the humming of the motor and that was it so, I unplugged it and now I'm here watching your video and just as you, I have speed dialed all the way down to "1". Now, I'm gonna put down this phone and turn up that dial, see what happens and then I'll come back to this post and write what did or didn't happen. OK, sure enough, I cranked it up 3 and it is now working... thanks for post thus video for idiots like me, lolol...
Have you tried the Doyle loppers?
I have the normal bypass HF loppers, and the greenwood ratcheting loppers, I like them both, the ratcheting ones are awesome, I plan to buy the doyle bypass loppers to compare to the HF,, btw I'm making videos again, but working on a big project and time for editing is limited, I've bought a lot of tools for the big project, and I'm making videos as I use them, plus some update videos, so far all my free time for the last 6 weeks, and I'm guessing the next 4 weeks on the project
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews That’s awesome I miss your videos. I had the ratcheting loppers and the handle broke so I’m in need of a new pair. The Doyle ones look nice. I see Doyle moving into the outside tools to.
Put a spring round the hose stops the kinking
Just keep oil in it and the chain adjusted tight enough (keep it sharp) and it will serve you well. I've used mine for three seasons now cutting up slabwood I get from local sawmills in my area. I got replacement chains from Amazon so I always have a sharpened one when I need it. They are easy to sharpen and it cuts as good as a gas powered unit with a sharp chain.
I've been using my Bauer chainsaw for three seasons now and it works perfect. No issues what so ever. I keep it full of oil and the chain sharp and adjusted properly. It cuts as good as any gas chainsaw I've owned.
I'm using the saw a lot this summer and I'm very happy with it also - thanks for subscribing!
You maybe able to repair the link in the air hose. Put a little heat to it while straightening it out. A heat gun should work well.
I paid $52.00 yesterday. 20% off with my membership. I am so impressed with this saw. It zips right through hard oak tree limbs like butter. I accidently got it stuck up in a tree for 24 hrs. I was hanging and swinging on the end of it. The next day i got it down and nothing wrong with it. This is one tough little saw!
I have a very good opinion of this saw, works great, and just keeps working great, I'm using it to do major trimming of all my trees after not being able to because of covid recovery and it just works - thanks for subscribing!
I did the same, bent the chain. I replaced it with an Oregon S 33 chain. It works better than the original chain.
What the wire from the main board to the front usb called
it is called a USB header cable, search amazon if you need one, the is a lot of different ends to select from, just pick the one you need - thanks for subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews ok thank you
I bought this exact trimmer about a year ago. I don't use it much so the pre wound string lasted a while. I tried doing it exactly like this and when I placed it back into the weed eater it just came unraveled and I ate through an entire reel in 5 minutes . Im not an expert but something tells me it should last longer than that so i don't know what i did wrong.
the unraveling is what allowed it to come out so fast, I know it is hard to do, but you can get the spool installed without it unraveling - use the cord locks to hold the cord tight, insert the line into the hole first and one side at a time, pull the string one at a time and pop them out of the lock as you seat the reel, once the reel is in its place, it will hold tension - a little awkward the first few times, but it does work, once the tension is released on the spool and the cord unravels, you need to start over after rewinding the cord - the working end of this is exactly like the ones black and decker uses on their trimmers, might even come from the same factory - thanks for subscribing!
my blade is too high and i cant lower it to cut a 1x4
you will need to provide more information, how is the blade too high to cut a 1x4? do you mean the riving knife is too high? if the riving knife is keeping you from cutting a board (assuming you are ripping a board) then the riving knife is most likely not lined up with the blade and needs adjusted, you can use the info the in video to adjust the riving knife it does not always fully seat in the lock is the most common problem - I am assuming a lot, as Im not sure I understand you question - thanks for subscribing!
Can I use it to punch a holes on the take out pho plastic cups for planting
I doubt the plastic cups will hold up to the punch, it will just rip a hole in the plastic cup - thanks for subscribing!
Could you tell me where you bought the extension cord for the panel..
search amazon for SAE powe cable, you can buy premade cables or just the ends - I buy the ends at hamfests for $2-4 dollars per pair and use my own cable to make the length I need - lots of options - thanks for subscribing!
I got one of these but the part where you put the thing in is stuck and I can’t unscrew it every time I try the tool basically breaks itself by like going inside out and then I got a fix it again then I try again and then it just does the same thing
can you provide more details on how the tool breaks and what is required to fix it - sound like the motor lock is getting stuck and the chuck is getting compressed and needs expanded, gently of course, they are tough for compression, but not so much for forced expanding - thanks for subscribing!
I like it, I’m an electrician and I’m trying a way to use this but I just can’t find it lol I’ll have to pass again on this cool little tool
this small cut off saw does most of what I need, I have a big 13 inch cutoff and I rarely use it, as this is so handy - thanks for subscribing!
Auto feeder....how does it know
run the saw flat our and it will auto feed correctly, changing the speed constantly wll cause it to feed to much, is is sensing the speed of the motor and feeds extra and the motor speed changes - thanks for subscribing!
Unbelievable that they did not include an allen wrench to change the position of the guard. SMH 😖 !
not a surprise to me, none of HF's grinders come with that, it is not an essential tool required to run the grinder, part of the reason HF keeps their prices low -thanks for subscribing!
My wife gave me the same model Bauer chainsaw last week for Father's Day. It was DEAD, not working out of the box. I took it back to Harbor Freight Tools and was given an exchange. Exact same saw. Got home and hooked it up. This saw was DEAD too. WTF am I doing wrong? It's just an electric saw. Safety switch and a trigger. Has anyone had the same problems with this saw?
I got one it's OK for quick and easy simple stuff if you need the real thing you'll be getting a higher end one
you will need a router with more power, like a 11 amp drill master - this is a trim router, meant to trim counter laminate and other very light work, see a comparison of HF routers - ruclips.net/video/GCb_BEMysZs/видео.html - thanks for subscribing!
What if you got if you forgot the password
confirm you have the 1080p system or the 4K system? the 1080p system has no password recovery, the 4K system has a button in the back you push to reset the password or reset to factory config - both systems look about the same is why you need to confirm which one you have - thanks for subscribing!
enjoy the videos sir! I noticed HF quit selling these cameras now. Mine is about a year old and I'm wanting to add 2 more cameras. (currently running 5 cobra brand) Do you have any recommendations on other brand/model cameras that work for this system? Im not too too familiar with setting up new ones but can probably figure it out after I buy them. Thank you!
I don't think they quit selling them, I think they are just out of them, if HF has an item out of stock and no more coming in the near future, they drop it from their website, and it will re-appear in the future, so don't give up hope - but these are designed to the ONVIF standard, which is a new industry standard for home video surveillance systems, so theoretically if cameras conform to that standard they will work with this system - I searched amazon for ONVIF cameras and several were listed, verify in the details they are ONVIF compliant, POE does not mean ONVIF, POE is a power/wiring standard, ONVIF is a data/signalling protocol standard - I have not tried any non-HF camera, so no recommendations, but if you have prime, you are protected if what you buy says ONVIF but does not work, you can return it within 30 days, I'm interested in any adventures you have with other cameras, I'm sure a lot of viewers will be interested in your results - thanks for subscribing!
what kind of air compressor do you use with it?
I use a 125psi 2 HP, 30 gallon tank with 3/8 inch hoses, 1/4 inch connectors, there are CFM requirements, but a 5 gallon tank set for 90psi with 3/8 inch hoses will work, you might need to be a little patient to let the tank catch up occasionally, a bigger tank takes a difference, the 3/8 hose is important as it allows more air volume to be available in the line and makes a big difference in performance - CFM recommendations are for optimal performance, real world trades off optimal performance for using what is on hand and works - thanks for subscribing!
My machine is releasing the entire cord. I already installed it in every possible way and it keeps throwing everything away. What should I do
try running the trimmer wide open all the time you cut, no pauses, that will keep the cord feeding correctly, it is designed that way and the auto feed works best - thanks for subscribing!
I used my weedeater for a year or so and it worked very well but now when loading the thread everything comes loose, it comes out and it cuts into pieces. Could you tell me why it happens?
the autofeed is different on these trimmers, run the trimmer wide open and the autofeeds works right thanks for subscribinjg!
I have one like this. Dunno where I got it. It only seems to work when I put a new cartridge in. Next time I use it, no grease comes out. I think maybe I'm empty. I pull plunger back and grease shirts out back end where you lock the plunger handle at.
I cut mainly slab wood from my local sawmill, so I always cut it up in one area near my shop, so electric is the way to go. Keep it full of chain oil and saw wood all day! As long as I don't run into some dirt or a nail, the chain will stay sharp all day and the motor has plenty of power (more than my 16" Husqvarna gas chainsaw)
excellent use for this saw, I also use it with a 2K inverter connected directly to my battery with my truck running, works great in a pinch, but not very fuel efficient that way, I use it mostly for cutting blanks for turnings - thanks for subscribing!
In general if a tool is heavy I see that as a plus. With a jigsaw that would be especially helpful when using a reverse cut blade because those tend to make the jigsaw jump.
I agree on the heavy tool, in most cases, the bauer tools tend to be heavier than drill master or warrior, but that is good, that makes them better tools, but I like to point out things like that in my videos so views know what to expect, and they saw is more than most DIY'ers need, but well worth the money - thanks for subscribing!
At $25 maybe ok - if you don't want to DIY a solution. However I spotted this item on Amazon UK today and they're asking up to £80 for the thing! Talk about rip-off.
a DIY version would not be expensive and lot of designs on the internet, but it was cheap and a turnkey solution, so I think it is worth it -thanks for subscribing!
