I own the same lathe. I have had mine for about six years now. I have made countless pens, scoops, and pointers. I like to primarily work with metal but find this super useful for polishing and finishing small parts. I adapted a metal lathe three-jaw and four-jaw chuck that was originally intended for a mini metal lathe. Made it a very versatile tool. My next mod on this one is to adapt a variable-speed motor. Note-this one will take almost any accessory for the Rikon mini as well as the Delta. I hope you like yours as well as I have liked mine.
i'm very happy with this lathe and looking forward to using it a lot - thanks for the info on rikon and delta accessories - I've already bought several accessories for it - thanks for subscribing
they are in short supply right now, I had to drive 1.5 hour round trip to an other harbor freight, they discontinued this model, painted it blue and re-released it for about the same price - I have 3 harbor freight stores within 20 miles of my house, still had to go to one a lot further away to find one - I am interested if you find one and what you think of it - thanks for subscribing!

At about the 5:30 mark when you changed to 'High' speed, the belt appeared to drop down a pulley position a second after you turned it on.
I was interested in that lathe, but was unsure of the quality...thanks for your review!
