    That was a good idea using the plastic conduit pipe, seemed like it worked out good.

      thanks for the positive comment - it did work out well, I really don't like the look of exposed wiring, makes things look half done, I was amazed that is fit so well, the cable is ip66, so it can handle the weather with no problem, but the conduit will also shield it from the rain etc - thanks for subscribing!

      @snapwholeharborfreightreviews why not just get a vinyl siding puller and unhook the one piece of siding, drill a hold and hide the wire?

    Apparently you cannot turn off the infrared on this. If you were to look at your video that was on RUclips concerning the 7-inch screen I believe it was with two wireless cameras from harbor freight you would see what I'm talking about by choppy video footage which is from very low framerate. Thanks again for your work with these videos.

      the wireless machine is a different subject, there is no way to look at the video or wireless settings and that system is windows 7 under the hood, I would not expect much - the 1080p wired and 4k wired are linux based, and wired, so I expect a lot more from those two systems, and the video quality is configurable, although I am questioning the quality of the camera cable, they look and feel like a CAT5 variant, and to work the best with 4K video, they should be CAT6, and they use POE mode a, mode b is much better, mode a sends power and data over the same wires, mode b does not, I'll get more into the system performance and video quality this week and see how it goes - thanks for subscribing! - btw, a piece of black tape over the night vision light will block night vision

      @@snapwholeharborfreightreviews I have several cameras with the black tape in use. The other cameras are twilight cameras so the infrared isn't a issue. Thanks again.

      I have a question if you guys are willing to answer. I installed the "RXcamview" app that is recommended with this camera system. At first it was working fine and would record like 30 seconds to a minute of activity that triggered the camera but now it is continuously recording starting at 2am until midnight. ( I think my friend may have messed with the settings). It would still give me notifications every time it was triggered but when I would click the notification alert, it would start me at 2am regardless of when the notifications alert was sent. Also as of right now the app keeps crashing. I deleted it a couple times and reinstalled, to no avail. Is there a quick fix and or is there a different app I can use for the remote viewing from a cellphone?

    That picture is fantastic and more than I expected…how many cameras will it take?

      the system supports 8 cameras, each has a 60 ft cord, and cost $69 list, about $56 with 20% off, at one per sale it might take a while to get 6 more, unless you get creative..... I am very happy with this system and will do a few more videos, one on remote access (computer/phone) and one on system setup and options - thanks for subscribing!

    Can you make a video on how to delete footage and free up space on this Cobra make and model?

    • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
      @snapwholeharborfreightreviews  8 месяцев назад

      when you have auto record turned on, either record all the time or just motion, the system uses a first in, first deleted method, also called a circular buffer, so the harddrive always says full, but it is still recording - this keeps only the most record hours of recording - in this playlist ruclips.net/video/dPmsgb0hsK8/видео.html watch the NVR setup video and I cover that - Thanks for subscribing!

    Good day sir. I appreciate your insight concerning this system. I was wondering if you noticed whether or not the infrared can be deactivated? I need to know if it can get be used at night through the window without trying to cover it up with tape. Thanks in advance hope you have a good day.

      I just went thru every option in the setup/control panel of the system, no options for turning off night vision, which is kind of odd, the night vision puts out a good bit of light, and some HOAs restrict lights like these, would be good to be able to turn it off - in going thru the menus, these is a lot of options, but there was only a few that I was interested in, although that might change over time, I really have no use for zones(blocking), alerts, email or cloud setup, but others might, I plan to pull video of the dogs running around during daylight - thanks for subscribing!

      you should check out this play list, 5 video that cover the overview of part and initial power up, testing haddrive size, mounting cameras, and setup from factory default, with a review of most settings and phone client setup - link to the playlist is in the video description, but if you can't find it - studio.ruclips.net/user/playlistPLv-qImKPSqyMeIHkFatD9YAxbzQ9Wph4W/videos - thanks for subscribing!
