Thank you Kim😘 and I’m glad you’re here. A lot depends on what technique you’re trying to do. If you’re trying to do this technique, you want to get DecoArt extreme sheen paints. The other technique I do mostly is the Bloom technique, and if you’re interested in that, I would spend the extra money on the Golden, Amsterdam, and Arteza paints starting out with a few and building from there. Those are my favorite brands for the Bloom technique. You definitely don’t want heavy body or professional, you want the fluid acrylics by golden or any other brand. I hope this helps.

@@LouiseMcKayArt yes, very VERY helpful! I’m a bit of a “take-the-bull-by-the-horn” type of person, and really REALLY want to dive right into these pour techniques. I’m very much interested in the Blooms, but I’ve been trying to view all of your vids to get a sense of what’s what. I’m actually a silversmith, and have wanted to add some sort of jewelry box/night stand tray accessories to my line that was 1. Handmade by me, 2. Organic looking (my jewelry is rustic, and I mix metals quite a bit), & 3. A bit inexpensive to start up (lovin’ the Dollar Store inventory of jars). While I’ve seen acrylic pours at the shows I attend, the jar lids and trays I have not seen & it really piqued my interest. And of course, I MUST try my hand at this NOW. 😆 I am very sincerely sorry for stalking you. One last thing, tho … do you have a vid of your studio set up? I would LOVE to see that! If not, maybe an idea for a future vid or short? THANK YOU SO MUCH!
