Louise, these are just as beautifully done as the Lazy Susan turned out 😉 I love that your descriptions of "how, what, why and where" you are doing and using your paints, is always on the top of your videos. For some of us, it helps to have you go over these simple instructions, so that we end up with something as gorgeous as you create. Thanks for all the lessons, especially the one with the words "common sense" in them!!! If I could give the whole world one thing it would be to have "Common Sense" because it has everything ever needed for a good world and life...Take care, have peace...🤗☺❤
@@JudeKluegel thank you Jude😘, I am always applying common sense or what I think is my common sense to things and what makes sense. So much of what anyone has told anymore needs to pass. Hello, my dear sister Louise😘 I apologize for the recent lack of interaction due to my traveling all the time and spending time outside the home for long periods.. These are so cool!!! Love the B&W I had a bug walk right through my larger painting once, when I was still painting in the garage in the summer ( too hot this summer)! I was really PO! Ruined the whole thing! Sadly for that bug he was still caught in the painting and he was deceased!
@@charlenepallante183 things happen I never saw him or her but the evidence was there. I know I certainly didn’t run anything through it when I sat it down and it is summertime so I know bugs get in that room.
I wish I had some room around here. I would like to try a black pillow with a monochrome metallic colors. I did go chasing a very interesting piece of wood. Then my imagination kick in, and it became an Ent Coprolite. I think when I can get some shelves up. Its going to go along side my dinosaur coprolites.
Thank you again, Ozwald and for your sure you’re speaking in languages I don’t understand anymore ent coprolite The end dinosaur coprolite? Now you’ve got me reaching for add dictionary or at least online dictionary lol😂 by the way, I chased interesting piece of pieces of wood all the time
@@LouiseMcKayArt a coprolite is is any form of "poo" the is fossilized, or very well preserved. I have one from a meat eating dinosaur (probably from the Utah Raptor) and some pieces of vegetarian dinosaur. Archiologists have found Paleo Indian coprolites that give insight into their diets. Believe it or not, and this is no joke, there is a Viking coprolite on display in a museum. The Ent's are from Lord of the Rings. They were the Tree Shepherds in the Fangorn Forest. They were walking, talking, bipedal trees. They protected the Fangorn from human, and goblin and Orc, intrusion. The piece of wood I pulled out of the river, is about 3ft long and 6 inches wide. And its shaped like...., I think you get the picture.
@@LouiseMcKayArt depends on the bug. In this case a nuisance. I have found, here and there a few pieces of amber. Each piece has a bug preserved in it. One has the biggest termite I've seen, at least locally. Another, what looks like a small fruit fly.
I’ve been finally playing with the pours and having FANTASTIC success … thank you soooo much for sharing your processes! Your approach (and your narrative) is very personable and likable … I feel that you want your viewers to succeed and you speak to us just like any old friend coming over for some coffee and crafting fun. 😁 I also appreciate your sharing of your color “recipes” like this one; I wanted to try this color combo and the list you provide is really helpful when shopping. A question, tho … do you have any tips on speeding up the drying time for the coasters and jar lids? I admit to being impatient, and overnight doesn’t seem to cut it, even tho I live in a very low humidity area of the US.
First off, thank you so much for your comment. I appreciate your nice words and your support😘 Here’s my tip… DON’T Plan your creation so that you have time to let it fully dry on its own. I allow at least seven days preferably 10 before I go about resin. You don’t want to add heat you certainly don’t want to add breeze or you will get cracking or movement or any number of bad things that can happen. Think of fluid Art as character development, patience is a virtue in this sport!.

Hi Louise....I'm about to start my fluid art journey and have been inspired by your Coasters. Before I start Can you please let me know if there is a varnish that is heat resistant to use instead of resin as I don't like a shiny reflective finish? Appreciate your help as I won't start making them if I can't find a satin or semi-gloss finish.
