    You're so meticulous and I love that you share that. It's such a great reminder for all of us how important that is. How long do you let the blooms cure on glass, metal, etc. before coating with resin or polycrylic?

    • @LouiseMcKayArt
      @LouiseMcKayArt  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you Vegas ❤️💙and my philosophy is, if I’m going to be sharing a video I should share information at the same time, because you’re spending your time watching me you should be given some insight along the way. These are metal lids, and if it’s warm and dry, I wait seven days, if it’s humid, I wait at least 10 days before resining. I always resin the kids for blind and durability .

      Thank you, 😘Rebecca and welcome! I appreciate you being here and leaving your thoughts and hopefully my tutorials will keep you engaged and have you subscribing😀 regarding your question, I’m frequently asked questions about pricing and I don’t answer what I sell my creations for because it’s based on this market here in Asheville, cost of my materials, the quality of my pieces, my time and what it’s worth to me to move pieces so I can create more. You have to find out your price point in your area given these considerations. Hope that helps, but I really can’t tell you what to price your pieces at. That’s really your call.

    As always, ma’am, your creations are superb most beautiful! You mentioned that you would answer questions so I have one question for you. Please actually have a whole bunch, but I’ll break it down to just one today.
    You noticed that the PPG formula was giving you extra bubbles at one point, I’m also finding that with the batch I bought. You also mentioned that if you placed it on the heater it would help dissipate the bubbles. That sounds pretty straightforward, but I’m wondering if you could elaborate what type of heater and how long?
    Once again, thank you 1 million !!
    Thank you for your service your country ma’am

      @@andiortega4164 hi AndI thank you for being here. I’ve said early on when I had problems with bubbles and multipro I would put them on the dryer, the electric dryer were the vibration would help shake them and the air bubbles out. I’ve since started using a vacuum chamber where I put my batch in there and let the vacuum pump, pump out the air. Please don’t confuse how I try to get rid of bubbles to how I tried to thin down my paints in the winter time with the heater. If you’re curious about the vacuum pump and vacuum chamber, just go to one of my recent videos and I have the Amazon description you can copy and paste onto Amazon site

    If you cut small slits in the tape you’ll be able to fit it in the lid better.

    I've tried to resin tile coasters and almost always the resin pulls away from the edges. Would it do better on round lids? I've have epoxied tumblers with success so I'm flummoxed!

    • @LouiseMcKayArt
      @LouiseMcKayArt  2 дня назад +1

      Hi Sue, I use KS Resin and never had that problem. Make sure you’ve wiped your coasters with a spritzed alcohol paper towel to get any oil residue off from handling. Make sure you resin over the sides and wipe spread the resin over the sides thoroughly. Tumblers you put on a spinner, right? so that’s a different process
