Hi Louise, it's wonderful that you can transform jars from Dollar Tree into such beautiful creations! Not only attractive but functional as well! 👍😊 Have a great weekend ~ best wishes from us both.
Louise, another great tutorial, with all the "little tidbits" that go into making and creating a useful piece of artwork 😉 I think you have such a knack for doing blooms, especially these little jar lids. I think it is sometimes harder to do a small bloom as to challenge a big one, where you can make mistakes and work over them, but not on these little guys 😉 They turned out gorgeous as I knew they would. Thanks for sharing 🤗☺❤
Thanks Jude, 💛I agree, small ones need to be right on because there’s no room to fix them and large ones afford you some ability to fix and adjust. Each are their own challenges. Thanks for leaving your thoughts and support!😘
I did make sone of your jar lids and they aren’t as fine as your’s is but I had fun and they are cute. I am very sick so I don’t get to play very oftin but this was so much fun to watch I had to try it. Thye are cute. Thank you for the teaching and the entertainment. You are fantastic,
Thank you so much 😘Linda and I’m glad you gave these a go. I sure hope you feel better with whatever you’re tackling… I’m glad these videos are a good break for you…🧡
Learned about you from "A Coastal Magnolia". I really like your method of teaching and explanations on what to do and what to watch out for. Will enjoy making these by following your instructions for success!!
@@cathryneahrens7784 thank you so much, Cathy, welcome here! 😘I’m glad you found me through A Coastal Magnolia, glad she shouted me out as inspiring her! I hope I continue to earn your subscription and be sure to check out my playlists, I have a variety of creation types, broken down by categories!

I wish I had more room here. I would love to start experimenting. I lost a fight with a wild rose shrubs. I was trying to prune back the undergrowth, and didn't see it until it hooked my skin. These things are wicked, growing canes up to 30 feet long. And I'm not kidding, the thorns are numerous and can get up to 3/8 of an inch. I would much rather wrestle with the local Virginia creepers.
Wow Ozwald, 😘sounds like you’ve got kind of a dangerous place to live. I mean, 30 foot rosebush stocks and 3/8 inch prickers. And people think I’m in a dangerous place with the Bears. sounds like those rosebushes are nothing but a trap. Even the best kind of gloves are still gonna get nailed. I hope you stay protected are going with some bigger tools!!!
My wife and I are new to this and love your artwork and tutorials! You have so much wonderful content, we don't know where to begin LOL. We did watch your cell activator and pillow paint videos which has been a great start. Just a few questions, what product do you use to varnish your pancake Christmas ornaments and coasters? And, can you get away with just using the cheap Apple Barrel paint from Walmart (not for pillow paint, but the pour colors)?
Hi Josh and welcome😘. In ornaments I use Liquitex Gloss Varnish, 2-3 coats. You can try Apple Barrel, I’ve never used it so I cannot speak to what outcome you might get. But best wishes, you don’t know until you try!😉
Love the monochromatic look! I’ve never poured, but interested, esp the jar tops. Question, tho … when replacing the jar lid back on the wire hinge, wouldn’t the wire tear the paint skin and resin coating?
@@LouiseMcKayArtwell then, off I go to the Dollar Store! 😅 I think they have a bunch of little canvases for practice pieces, too. I appreciate the response!
another awesome tutorial. Thanks Louise. Curious if next time you can show how you pop the lids back in the metal frame without damaging/scratching the design? Is it just the quality/durability of the resin? Sorry if that's a silly question, I'm still very new to all of this :)
