OMG Louise McKay!! My favorite dinosaurs have always been Stegasaurus and Triceratops!!! AND in Arizona 32 years..that was half my life!....I adore the horned lizard!!! They look like tiny Triceratops. I LOVE THAT
@@TheJudiBambiPurrsParadox thanks so much Judi, at first I thought dinosaur, then dragon, no I’m thinking mystical creature, but triceratops brings me full circle 😘
@@LouiseMcKayArt LOL yup. If you know what a horned lizard looks like, that's this piece...a tiny dino in the world today. On FB I posted a photo of a horned lizard.
Loise, all I can say is "WOW" to this challenge 😉with the piece of wood!!! Man, this has to be the "hardest" piece I have seen you attempt 🙄 and as always you are "right on" with your ideas and following through with your thoughts...The eye was just the most imaginative part of this creation, and added to the piece in "oh, so many ways" in my opinion!! You always amaze me, with your abilities to create such gorgeous works of art, especially with the wood you find and then put to use, creating a definite "one of a kind" piece!! This may be my favorite so far!!! 🤗😚❣💯
It’s definitely my favorite so far and I think waiting for the piece to ‘speak’ to me made the difference. I took over a month hit this one, but feel taking the time allows everything to come together! And cutting into that skin took so a little bit outta me this time, and learned more again. Thank you for your kindness and support!😘😘🧡
Very much appreciate sharing with us your tips, your effort to show (teaching moment?) amazing work of yours and, special thanks for your time and wish to read and answer our comments! It requires so much time! Thank you and wish you strong health and great success!!!
Thank you so much, 😘Lara I appreciate you understanding all that goes into this and more. I appreciate your support and it’s my pleasure especially when I read comments like yours. Thank you so much.🧡
Wow so thats how the technique how to mix colors. Amazing very impressive the result 👏👏👏. From ordinary wood turns into a nice furniture display looks like head of the animal
Roar! Wow!!! I was yelling, ‘oh my gosh’ so much, Steve ran in the room thinking something was wrong!😂 This is awesome Louise! Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity ❤
Thank you so much, 😘Marybeth, I think it’s my absolute favorite of all my creations. I wish you could see it in person. …I have another one. I’m working on right now different from this one, but another art fusion piece. I can’t wait to finish.
The height of magnificence and creativity, my dear Louise😍 I adore your creations on tree trunks, what a creativity like no other. It is a very special work 😊 Thank you, my dear Louise. I enjoyed very much watching your wonderful artwork 🙏❤
That is gorgeous. A dinosaur so unique. You have a wonderful mind. Just love it. Congratulations what a gorgeous piece. Thank you for all your beautiful videos. You do a great job explaining everything and I don't care how long they are I'll be watching the whole thing, Trish from New York
Holy Jurassic Park! 😮 this is extraordinary Louise! 🎉. The piece spoke to you and you answered. 💥. I am always so impressed with how you add pillow to direct the flow of the pattern. In this case I am really surprised with how well the cells and lacing maintained their integrity! Just stunning 🤩
thank you so much 🧡Kim, it’s definitely a give and take seeing what the piece gives! Gently guiding it along, coaxing the direction and development!🧡🧡🧡
@@michaelchattaway1316 thank you Michael, and welcome😘I get my greatest joy in these creations, they are more work because of the wood aspect, but in terms of creation and artistic freedom, you can’t beat it here!😉check out my playlist of the others:ruclips.net/p/PLD3gEym1bn-MzpInaGRMrrqhCyHf9iIbd&si=MKi00Pr3UFQSu_Ia
Right when I saw the wood in the beginning I thought it looked like a dinosaur or something similar. Too funny! The eye in there is so cool!! Great tips in the video and the final piece is fantastic!! The white pillow looks good in the bloom against the dark wood.
Thank you so much, Darlene😘 and well, I thought this was only a dinosaur other people at this, suggesting a horse, a dragon and any number of other mythical type creatures. Thank you so much for your support.😘
Hip hop hurray First 🥇 here Louise Aunt When I was about to go to sleep 😴, got this notification 😅 Watching now Wow What a great start 😊 Fusion art 🎨 with wood 🪵 Innovative and creative ideas from you nowadays ❤
I've seen a few of your wood/bloom pieces. I was at 2 different beaches last month and totally forgot to pick up some drift wood. I think this piece looks like a dragon head. It's absolutely stunning. I'm gonna keep my eyes open from now on for wood pieces. Thanks for sharing this beauty. 😍
It is obvious you worked so hard on your wood. I’d love to know the process you go through to get it so clean and prep it so will check out that video. What a beautiful colour combination. Love the gold combo. I’ll have to try it. Your explanations are brilliant and it turned out beautifully! You are so inspiring my friend ❤
Wow! This is so awesome! Amazing how that eye and head came to life! And I want to let you know I'll be at the Fluid Art Boutique, I can only take one class, and my sci-fi side won out, and I'll be taking Sarah Mack's Galaxy Pour. But I will also be at the Gala dinner, so I hope to meet you there! BTW, have I told you I make and sell Ice Dye shirts and handmade clothing? So, if you were to wear a standard size t-shirt, what size would that be? 😘
Awesome, 😘wish you could join me too!! See you at the Gala! You’ll have your introduce yourself since I won’t recognize you. T shirts I’m a women’s large…cool!
Thank you Evelyn, nothing special with the back, no resin, just the sanding and cleaning to make it decent, not perfect. Don’t mind some rough in the back.
Me again. I can't remember if you ever used a wire wheel brush to remove the punky wood from of the back. Take it back, I saw the wire wheel. My brain is a little fried after working in the sun
Thank you so much 😘Lain and welcome here, hope you join me for more!🧡 the silicone mats you can find on Amazon or baking sections at Walmart or the like
Because I don’t know how far it’s going to spread I don’t wanna put too much pillow down and have it spilling over the edge then my composition doesn’t reach how far I need to go if that makes sense. I’d rather have less pillow to start with an add-on if needed, then have too much and not be able to stretch my Composition as big as I needed to go. Good question though.
