I’m so insanely proud of Drew Starkey taking on more serious and formal roles. I knew since the first season of Outer Banks that he was a great actor. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being an Oscar winner in the future someday. Hope he goes on to do great things.

Luca's films have such a unique "look" to them. Some scenes feel surreal, love that.
luca is truly on another fucking level of filmmaking right now. the guy is creating entirely new ways to tell stories about the human condition with every film he pumps out. the painted backgrounds just look unbelievable in this trailer. cant wait to see this, be broken down and built anew
Love the miniature sets. Yeah they don't look as photorealistic as CGI, but they feel tactile!
His lighting always has this textured, filmic feel to it that just captures the warmth of life. Oh how I love this man.

I literally can't stop watching this trailer.
The superimposed actions for representation of what Craig’s character wishes to be doing in those moments rather than what he is, has to be one of the realest and most effective ways of showing a characters wants or lust. Guadagnino you sly devil, this looks like a masterpiece. (Oh boy do I understand now that its very clearly in the book, but I still feel like commending Luca for making sure it is something so clearly translated from the book when he could have easily taken that out like many other directors would have. This is not something we have really seen in film this way before, at the very least recently).

Well said, it seems to be extracted brilliantly from Burroughs' book, many filmmakers would just gloss over it or not know how to visualise that on screen. Kudos to Luca.
They're talking about translucent double exposures of Craig reaching out to touch him when he actually isn't. A way to visualize the character's longing.

@@thedevilworkshop Okay i'll be more specific about why it sucks. The premise isn't interesting. It's basically a movie about two gay guys and one of them is sick and dying. The pacing is bad and the story is boring. There's tons of gay sex scenes that are an immediate turn off if you're not into that sort of stuff. It's just a terrible movie. I clapped at the end, not because I enjoyed it, but because it was finally over.

I joined the Daniel Craig train when I was 12 years old. I had just entered 6th grade, and to tell you the truth I was deeply depressed. My father had the brilliant idea of taking me, my mother and my brother to the cinema. This is how I discovered a magnetic actor on the big screen who was playing a cold-blooded English spy. I have never left the train, and at the dawn of my 30th birthday I sincerely hope that he will take the Oscar on March 3.
Hey we’re on the same boat! Watched Casino Royale on DVD when I was about 16. I knew nothing about Bond except that the character was played by Pierce Brosnan and I found it strange that it was another guy on the cover of the dvd. I remember starting the movie like “who’s this random guy 🤔” and ending the movie like “wow he’s amazing 🤯”. His on screen presence is truly magnetic and as I discovered more about Daniel, it seems like he’s also a great person off-screen.
The reviews are very controversial about this movie so I’ll wait and judge after I’ve seen it myself :)

I watched the movie yesterday during a college screening. I'm going to be honest, it's terrible. It was a total snoozefest. The only reason I didn't walk out of the theatre then and there was because Daniel Craig himself was showing up afterwards.
