That was so scary to watch!

Just arrived in Col Springs on business. You passed within mikes of my place when you just started while on C and O trail, now I miss you in Colorado by a day. I guess I will need to schedule trip to SFO as you close in on finish for the trifecta.

I’m the type of person whose stomach is the Calvary in the coal mine. The second potato salad is due for the fridge I get sick from it. Maybe you got some bacteria that you worked through but then it left behind inflammation and your body needed to heal. That water was sketchy looking. Ps: your videos are relaxing and help me chill after work. So im just binging your videos. I’m not a creep, I swear!

I agree with your safety plans. I was camping a half mile from a parking lot in crescent city California overlooking the beach. I was around others, and I felt fine. But I came back from a hike in the redwoods and the fog settled in and I got this spooky feeling. I packed up everything and took off for a motel. I had the best night of sleep in that cheap motel. My dad was worried about my solo hiking 9 miles/3k elevation in the wallowas because of bad guys. I was like dad, you should be more afraid of me falling. lol bad guys don’t hike 3k feet elevation to rob/assault you. lol and other backpackers are at sites like that, so if I were to run into problems, I knew I’d run into somebody. That’s been my sweet spot as a solo female biker: remote, but not so remote that there wont be a couple other hikers.

Your road walk was scary! I have been wondering about some of the routing selections - surely there are safer roads to travel than the no shoulder blind curves!

Your road walking brings to mind many of my experiences along the Oregon coast on highway 101, and some of the highways in Idaho. I wish I could trail angel you, but your route will take you well south of Boise. I started following you somewhere back on the Katy Trail, and I look forward to every update daily. Stay safe.

Just as I was sitting here thinking the bike tunnel would be a much better choice than the drainage ditch, then you show a raging flood in the drainage ditch. That tunnel or even under a highway bridge would have been pretty safe even if their were a tornado. The drainage ditch there's always the possibility of a flash flood. Stay away from those if you're expecting weather, the water comes running down those mountains and very little soaks in... unlike over here in the eastern part of the country.

Dissapointed the ADT didn't go up the incline!😂😂

Holy sh#t! This was the episode I've been waiting for ever since I saw the route the ADT was taking into COS in one of your episodes. I thought, surely they wouldn't really have you go down Hwy 24. "Would Matt survive the canyon highway suicide walk between Cascade & Manitou Springs?". I wasn't so sure when your post was delayed for a day. That was the question. Crazy! I realize the ADT wants to take you along a lot of different towns, but there are way better routes (a.k.a. Old Stage Rd east out of Cripple Creek connecting to Old Gold Camp Road north, then to Intemann Trail westbound) that would have dumped you into Manitou Springs from the South. Or, Rampart Road east out of Woodland Park which would have eventually dumped you exactly at the Balanced Rock. Nevertheless, glad you survived Hwy 24 with zero shoulder on blind curves.... BTW, that 30 minute downpour was one of the worst we've had in a few years. Happy Trails and here's hoping for more benign road walks!

I can't believe the ADT sends you thru Cheyenne canyon just for sight seeing purposes. That looked scary! Someone should talk to the ADT crew about that. Glad you stayed alive!!
