    I admire your "do it yourself" attitude, but when it comes to Ruger I would send it to them first and at least give them a chance to fix it. Who knows, if they couldn't get it right they might just send you a new gun thst shoots closer to point of aim. But a great video anyway.

      I do take pride in fixing things myself. I have built 4 houses for myself and 1 for my son. You are correct about sending it to Ruger I am sure they would have taken care of it. Thanks for watching

    How much grease do you usually give the wobble hub when doing daily servicing? Kinda wondering if I'm giving enough pumps... I have an 18HS head, and the wobble boxes have 1 zerk for each yoke, 1 zerk for the wobble hub, and 1 zerk (top and bottom) for the main housing bearing where it bolts onto the head for the drive shaft underneath the head that powers the LH side wobble. I might even just pop the hubs off and pump to see when it comes through the bearing. I'm going to archive this video in case Ihave to ever rebuild mine someday. That's crazy how that nut is supposed to stay without loctite... wow. Even a cotterpin would do wonders too, surprised not even a castle nut.

    • @chrisevansgunshorsesranchi699
      @chrisevansgunshorsesranchi699 22 часа назад

      The small bearings on the top and bottom usually only take a couple of pumps from an electric grease gun. (dewalt). The bigger cavity is really hard to tell because the dust cap is the grease seal and too much will pop it off. I will about 10 pumps every 8 hours of operation. I have used a temp gun (one of the little laser type) to measure temperature of the bearings. The drive side is always a few degrees hotter. The temp is a great tool if you are concerned about any bearing assemblies. I used it on my JD round balers and found some bearing pre failure and was able to make the repairs. Good luck Thanks for watching

    Honestly you cant beat this for the price point. With ammo prices these days ill probably pick one of these up just so i dont burn through as much .45. Ive seen people pop tiny groups with new sights. The main complaint ive seen from these is the factory sights are flimsy and slip around while shooting.

The larger 300+ rounds can be drill pressed with a tapered end mill bit to make a 250-280gr hollow point. I use Ramshot Enforcer powder 21.4gr powder for 240-250gr and having good results. I also use my .452 bullets 240gr , powder coat them, and then run them thru my .430 sizing die. They run great!!!!!!

    RE: The Underwood all copper rounds in .32, fires just fine in a PPK but locked up my first gen Seecamp so hard had to disassemble the gun to clear if out of the chamber...As to safe carry, older Walthers are NOT drop safe carry with the safety off and hammer down, no firing pin block. Newer guns have the firing pin block and are completely safe to carry hammer down, loaded chamber safety off. Lots of folks have been injured dropping loaded PPK's (safety off) in the last decade.

    CAUTION! You CANNOT exceed 130 ft pounds with the ammo that you use in this gun. There's a card in the box that has this warning on it. You need to either Google the ammo and / or go to the website. Exceeding the 130 ft pounds WILL crack the frame. How do I know this? I actually cracked the frame and had to buy a new one because my gun was out of warranty. OUCH!

    Ok.. i have a 'few' pinned and recessed guns... first... pinned? probly not even worth mentioning.. good? never found it to matter. Recessed.. to me? recessed is a hindrance As the gun gets dirty it just makes it more likely that you can't seat the rounds in the chambers. and with non recessed chambers you can just wipe em. also with non recessed chambers you can visually see the brass rim and know if the gun is loaded or not. but.. I love the hammer mounted firing pin cause it looks cool.. it is the one feature of my 99% Colt Python I don't like..
