- Toady my son-in-law and I take out his 87A 22 to run some rounds through it. It was not running very good so I gave it a good cleaning. I think we got it running good for him now. I have great kids and kid-in-laws haha Thanks for watching Please subscribe

60 year old South Louisiana cowboy wanting you to know just how much I enjoy your channel and content. A man definately after my own heart...no BS format...no tacticool running and jumping...shooting blue collar firearms all can enjoy! I grew up with guns and hunting and it has been part of my life as long as I can remember! FAITH, FAMILY, and FIREARMS! From one good ol boy .44 Magnum aficionado to another! God bless you sir!
Thank you for the positive comment I needed that today Thanks for watching
That's a great little rifle you have there Spencer. Enjoyed the story behind it, hope it stays in your family for generations.
Thanks for the comment Russ This rifle is a dandy. I am glad I could help Spencer get it running again Thanks for watching
Had to take mine to a gunsmith to adjust the timing. Been shooting the model 87 for over 48 years . Changed the rear site to a half buckhorn.
They are a neat rifle Thanks for the comment
Great story! Great gun!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Thank you for your commitment Spencer!
Thanks
Interesting action on that gun. It seems to delay going forward. Great story behind the gun. I could tell by the way that he stands that Spencer is in the military seems very respectful. The shooting ranges around here can be so busy on a nice day that it gets frustrating. You are lucky to have one on your own property.
It has a very unique action with the delay. Spencer is a very good young man nothing like me. haha I am lucky to have him as a part of our family. I have enjoyed exposing him to hunting and shooting. This video was taken at a public range in St George Ut. It is about a 4 hour drive from our house. I was down there attending SHOT show in Las Vegas. St George is about 2 hours north of vegas.
I bet shot show was a lot of fun! Did you bring your wife for a little mini vacation?
No she didn't want to talk about guns for 3 days ha ha @@boydsteenblock1328
I’m in St. George Utah, I have the same gun, mine says ranger101.6
St George is a great place I was there last weekend Moved my daughter from Washington to Ivins good and hot. You should go visit my friend Jason at Cedar Post Pawn on St George Blvd. Thanks for watching
It appears that the bolt moves forward when you reset the trigger.
Yes that is the unique feature of this rifle. When you shoot it the action makes a strange (click clack) sound. If you hold the trigger back after you shoot the bolt will stay back as long as the trigger is depressed. Thanks for all of your great comments
I don't have any issue with taking off sunglasses to shoot. But shooting with no shooting glasses on after taking off your sunglasses is not advisable. No telling what an old gun like that might do. I have a click clack gun too, and I would not fire it without some sort of eye protection on. Just saying... Safety first.
You are correct That was a miss on my part I valve my eye sight Thanks for watching
The Huggies box that you taped the target to is classic! Grandbaby nearby?
Yes we a have few grand daughters and they are the best. I might be just a little biased haha Thanks for the comment If you like agriculture content you might like my other channel 10 cow ranch. You will get to see my new farmer in training. She loves grandpa's big John Deere tractor Thanks for watching
