- In TLC's Sister Wives Robyn seems to always find a way to cry victim. Through her claims of victimhood she has acquired quite the nest egg. Whether through luck or ruthless planning, Robyn's role of victim is paying off.

The more that I watch Robyn and how she maneuvers Kody, the more I wonder about the real situation with her first husband. Robyn is high-maintenance, needy, and as you said, plays the victim. That is exhausting and wears people out eventually. When people stop constantly catering to them and feeding their victimhood, they call it abusive. I have questions.

It’s unfair that all the other wives worked hard to build the family and Robyn comes in decades later and reap all the benefits.
IT IS BULL SHITE! She is a con artist!
There is no benefit in what Robyn gets. Except for the show money, she gets Kody. She’s never been close to the women. She’s never been close to the kids (save McKelty). Her kids have never been allowed to be close to the mothers (save Meri), and with covid, the relationships with the other kids also broke down. Kody is not a benefit, he’s a liability. The family’s finances have always been bad (due to Kody). Robyn was in major debt when she came into the family. Once all the wives leave Kody, Robyn is going to regret her choices.
What's sad is she could have possibly been a benefit. Another voice to help check Kody and another support for the kids and wives. But she would have to be a completely different person for that to happen.

Robin wears $200 sandals and Janelle is living in a trailer with no amenities. Kody says there is no favorite wife and the other’s are just jealous.
And they dare to comment on that trailer as well…quite hypocrite when you know Janelle paid for a big portion of Robyn’s McMansion.

Robyn has made a concerted effort to undermine the other wives since she entered into the marriage. When the family first moved to Las Vegas there was an episode of her talking about how she she approached her relationship with Kody different than the other wives, how she watched them struggling trying to navigate getting needs met, the children, finances, daily life, etc. However, Robyn decided that when Kody comes to her house she was not going to do that. When Kody comes over, she caters to him, never asks for anything, serves him, loves on him, practically worships him because she wanted him to know that when he is with her he doesn't have to have the worries and stress of every day life that he has with the other wives. This extended to the bedroom as well, as she showed off how she made sure their bedroom was the most important room in the house, cosy and comfortable for him. She completely seduced him.
Robyn had 10 years to deveop a relationship. She didn't. Apparently, she really didn't want it that bad.

If TLC cancels that show Coby will be lucky if he will be able to afford a studio apt. He has blown through that money like water.

Spot on James! This is exactly what I have observed ever since Janelle pointed out that Robyn was a damsel in distress that constantly needed Kody to rescue her. As you were commenting, it began to dawn on me, that Christine is out, so of course Janelle will become the next villian. Meri is has been so neutered that it is nearly impossible for her to become the third villian so the only thing she can do at this point is simply to slink away from neglect and emotional starvation. We all know that eventually it will only be Robyn and Kody. So who becomes the villian when there are no more wives to blame and they run out of money? KODY OF COURSE! He becomes the new David Jessup. She will claim to her new man, (probably an independently very wealthy much older man who will think of Robyn as his trophy wife) that Kody became impossible to live with and ABUSIVE to her after the other wives left him. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I agree with most of your assessment. The only problem for Robyn in the future is that she will not have too many options men-wise. She is getting older and has 5 kids so the title of trophy wife will no longer apply to her.
A trophy wife usually isn’t out of her 30’s. She’s going to have a hard time finding a new man with big assets. They won’t want the baggage of the 2 littles either.

Literally this, she's groomed him this whole time. He never once would've called him a patriarch at the beginning, when he was leading the pack he respected everyone and saw them all as equals. Christine has been talking this whole time about how she lost her best friend.
He saw them all as equals or made them think that because he never wanted to be the "man" of the house. Kody is a dude who kept on changing jobs and wasn't very successful career wise and that's where Janelle comes in. They were his troops who he all rallied to make life easier.

I'm rewatching the early seasons and her body language gives her away from the start. She's extremely manipulative, especially when it came from her idiotic Sister Wives Closet jewelry. I'm glad Christine left, hopefully Janelle follows.

You are absolutely right. Kody is probably thinking that if everything is in Robyn’s name, the other women have no claim to it. What he’s overlooking is, if Robyn leaves she leaves with everything. She has definitely set her self up good. She had said in the beginning, she wanted a man that would take care of her and her children. You can go one step further and say that Robyn knew Kody was afraid of the law and for that reason he put everything in his wives names so they couldn’t seize those as his assets. She found the perfect opportunity with a paranoid man. Touché Robyn, touché.
Coby used his time, attention, love as rewards/punishment for the other wives. If they did not support his crazy ideas or treat Sobbin like a queen he with withhold from them. He created that distinction in the family. Why would Christine want a relationship with the evil three??? That is why she left. She should of told her to FOAD.

This is how i look at the financial situation of Janelle. Since the legal systems in Utah and Arizona do not recognize common law marriage then Janelle and Christine have never been married to Kody. However, according to Kody, he and Janelle have really been nothing more than business partners their whole relationship, this is Kody's words. The Family Fund account has been used to put financial earnings into from business transactions, ie) My Sisterwives Closet, the buying and selling of homes and properties... Janelle said, she gave Christine the money for the down-payment for her home. Kody said he and Robyn gave Christine the money, from the Family Fund account to make the down-payment to Christine's home. The Family Fund account was used for the down-payment of the home. Additional funds from the sale of Janelle's house was used from the Family Fund account to help purchase Robyn's house. My point is, the commingaling of funds in this account makes all these purchases, business purchases. Janelle and Christine are all entitled to the funds and purchases from the Family Fund account. Anything that is in Robyn's name, Kody's name, Janelle's name or Christine's name will need to be considered a part of business purchases. If any part of the Family Fund account was used to make the purchase, it is a business purchase and Janelle and Christine are entitled to their share. Kody has said that he and Robyn have started different business accounts that are just in their names. If any funds from the Family Fund account has been placed into the those new accounts then those accounts have now become a part of the Family Fund account. A forensic accountant will need to come in and sort the finances out, review every purchase thats been made by the funds connected to the Family Fund account. An accounting of where all incoming and outgoing funds came from, amounts... Forensic accountants leave no stone unturned. Even overseas accounts can be located. You cannot steal money from people, and the fact that Janelle has never been legally married to Kody is a plus.Janelle should be looked at as a business partner. This will not be a matter of the distribution of marital funds because there was never a marriage. Because Robyn is married to Kody and funds from the Family Fund account was used for purchasing Robyn's home and properties, that makes those purchases a part of the Family Fund account. Janelle needs to hire a good attorney and forensic accountant.
We all know someone who is constantly a victim of life. I agree to be a victim brings sympathy from some if not all in your circle (for a while that is). Robyn has played this game for years. Kody absolutely feeds off this. Kody has a savior complex. Without that fuel to feed his complex he would be nothing.
And Robyn’s daughter is following in step. Her anxiety attacks have Kody carrying her up the stairs. Soon Robyn and her daughter will be in competition for the hero.

So who do we think told kodi this “rumor” who’s only person Kodi talks to and believes… Robyn! She was one who told Kodi Christine wanted to leave him and I believe she knew exactly what she was doing when she told him that!! She knew he’d be upset and what it would do!

Kody was projecting his fears onto Christine but he should have looked to the woman next to him, Robin, instead.

The two oldest are not minors and the third is close behind. That only leaves his 2 kids with her.

@@ziziprecious3124 That's a good point that I didn't think about and I'm far from being legally savvy, espicially in AZ law but my parents divorced when I was at a similar age and my mother's lawyer had my father paying support on me until I graduated from college. I don't think it was considered "child support" after I turned 18 and the check started going directly into an account with my name on it at that point but it was in there divorce agreement that he would do so. It just makes me wonder if Kody could be tasked with doing something similar. Either way, Robyn still stands as the biggest financial threat to Kody.

I just read that kody does have some familial ties with Robyn's kids. Robyn's ex husband is kodys3rd cousin. And meri and Christine also have ties to Robyn's ex who is Christine's cousin and meri is tied by the step mother. Soo crazy.

She replaces Christine who’s family is also considered royalty in the faith, because Robyn’s kids blood line is more prestigious. That’s why Kody has bent over backwards to take care of her children. Meri offered the divorce. I remember the episode when all the adults got together at her house. Janelle and Christine were not happy about it. I think they knew it would further her manipulation of kody and everyone else and that's exactly what happened.

The completely errie part is Kody looks very,very similar to Robyn's ex and at one point Robyn actualy had a painting created that features Kody with her children while they were babies. He hadn't even met them yet and here's this picture of them with him. The adoption was the ultimate,"Kody rescued me from the bad man that was mean to me." (Sort of wondering how mean he actually was considering Robyn's current situation with playing the victim.) Janelle was right when she called Robyn a helpless damsel.
