- In TLC's Sister Wives, we were able to see Robyn's form of manipulation for the first time in broad daylight and how it not only effects Kody but the other wives as well. Robyn has always presented herself as the disinterested party but now we can see that she is actually Kody's public relations resource.

Robyn needs to stay out of these womens’ marriages. She interrupts Meri or Janelle if they try to make a point. She “Robynsplains” everything Kody says. These women have been with him for nearly 30 years each. It’s utterly insulting.
And maybe if she didn’t Robynsplain the women might get to the bottom of what Kody is saying instead of her circle points

That's what I've been saying since forever! She pretends she's been around since the beginning! After watching the way they tag teamed Janelle, I don't think I'll be watching anymore..it was disturbing. Narcissists run amok on this show. Listening to Robyn explain kodys feelings to kody in front of Janelle to coddle him was also disturbing, I think Janelle saw right through that b.s.! And she was like I'm out! A couple of episodes ago Robyn was telling Meri to stay in it and ride it out with her. Meri declares her commitment to staying and Robyn goes silent. Totally agree with you that Robyn was maneuvering that conversation away from Janelle's building plans to a Christine bashing session and demand for loyalty. They didn't even have a conversation on what they were going to do with five plots of land! When Robyn demanded she know people's commitment, it changed everything. Since when is she the boss and since when do the other wives answer to her and what business is it of hers what these women think. SHe didn't want a real conversation because that would have been about Janelle and Christine's children being neglected by their father, and Kody's preferential treatment of Robyn and her children and by the way, why does Robyn have her name on $1.6M in real estate when she hasn't worked a day since she joined the family. Robyn and Kody have repeatedly denied that Robyn got preferential treatment so they aren't going to have that conversation now.
At one point, Kody notes that the issue Janelle's boys have to address is with him and Robyn. In confessional, Robyn is alarmed that her name is attached to any issue. It's clear that Robyn has instructed Kody to never raise her name and to discuss topics in vague generalities - like people close to me. How can anyone have an honest conversation when you can't even mention the name of the person having the conflict! She also rarely speaks up in group meetings, either. It's like she is in invisible mode in conflicts so nothing can be pinned to her. How dishonest and manipulative is that?!
Is there trouble in paradise? In the meeting about Janelle's house plans, Robyn said she wants her life to be better from here on out and Kody asked if she meant between her and him. Did anyone else notice that? kody KNOWS he hasn't been treating her well.
It's very clear that Robin and Kody are teaming up against the wives. Robin doesn't even pretend to be a sisterwife anymore. She's the headwife.
But they still don't want the family to understand how involved/manipulative she is. I guess it gives them more opportunities.

I believe it was to have the exact life she wanted financed by the other wives. Meaning, her alone with Kody financial security for herself and her kids while actually contributing very little. Look how long they’ve been dealing with it. She was cutting them out little by little more and more and she expected them to take it with grace. I think she was genuinely surprised that Christine said no thanks. Especially since Meri had been living through it for so much longer. Like why wouldn’t the rest just eventually go along? She believed her hope.
It’s amazing that Christine has the ultimate power to have caused every problem the browns are having. Kody/Robyn blames Christine for Janelle leaving. Christine has handled this mess with dignity and grace. She’s not been slamming Kody/Robyn like they are to Christine. And he was worried she would. Janelle stands her ground and chooses her kids and the dogs than him.
Robyn in the beginning felt intimidated by Janelle with the money and feeling like she’s contributing to the family. I think it was her goal to become the main squeeze and push Janelle & Christine not necessary out but to the bottom of the pile. She controls the strings.
You got that right…I loved when Janelle asked if they wanted the one house after they criticized Christine for not wanting the one house. When Kody said the word Robin wanted: “resolution” the hand gesture and word approval ”right” reminded me of clicker training my puppy.

Robyn is trying to assert herself as 'first wife'. That she and she alone knows how to 'fix' this. Christine is gone. Meri, the previous first wife, is beaten down and cowering in her chair hoping that no one notices her. She publicly pledges allegiance to Robyn by stating she's not going anywhere. Privately, Kody says he does not want Meri backing him/them up. Guess Robyn didn't get Kody's memo. Janelle says that she does not think that rebuilding is worth the effort. Robyn is oblivious to Janelle and Savannah's homelessness. They need a house that they can call home too. Robyn is failing as first wife to see that each wife has suitable housing.
Robyn has always lobbed her shots from the sidelines and behind the scenes. Now that Kody is vulnerable and beaten down too , he is looking to Robyn to turn this ship around. He kept looking at her as if for her approval. She is put front and centre she 'says' that she had no idea that things were this bad between Kody and all his kids and between Kody and Janelle. Kody is a blabbermouth and incapable of leaving any thought unsaid. I don't believe her. Yet she continues to make everything about Christine's departure all about how Robyn is effected. The manipulations are more visible now. This is not going to be well-received by Janelle, most of the kids and the audience from the show. Kody will be the last to notice. Then he will blame Robyn for the further disintegration of the family.

The truth is, if they wanted to pay off Coyote Pass, they would have. They are saving it for Robyn’s kids. Also, in the end where Janelle talks about taking her kids side and Robyn says to Kody after “No wonder your upset Kody, you’ve received so much rejection because of COVID” right there… manipulation central.

I think Janelle is more passive. One thing I did notice is she directed all of her views directly to Kody. She never looked at Robyn or talked to Robyn. I think that was her way of putting Robyn in her place.

Once as a child, we did go to one family therapy session. I was youngest of 5 and introverted, but I spoke my feelings at age 9 or 11, and we never went back. I thought it was a safe place, but my father just in his mind felt betrayed. I disowned my family as an adult. It was too harmful for my own children to be around.

Janelle saying Garrison is vaccinated about a year ago cause her boys are military and she saying she is vaccinated I really don’t think Kody and that house got the shot. My under 16 got both shots by June of 2021. This is October 2021 when they get it and November 2021 and he still has not admitted he was wrong or apologized. His boys when right to him. On tape. Siblings from three houses wanted to see siblings at Robyn’s and could not but a nanny had access. I think Kody and Robyn have kept them and that house separate since Vegas because they are hiding things from other wives and kids. This is a clear example of the mental health issues coming from not going to school and isolating from too many people for too long. It’s almost like since Robyn was cleared to go home from ER needing nothing really but a check which is perfectly fine to get he had to go off the mental health angle to reinforce the idea he was right. The kids saying she should still take a turn a die after coming home is cruel and abusive you put on a brave face for kids. Even the Gabe call. He said he just lost smell. He said dad called to ask how bad I got it. Like the call was a lecture on how terrible COVID is and I was so right and then also the forgetting birthday part.

James, I would love to see you do a video concerning "reputation". I mean even if the show is scripted partially, when I was young your reputation/morals were more important than money. How they lower themselves and expose their children's lives now it is going downhill, just for money?

I feel all of the children should sue the show and parents.
I know these shows have a team of psychologist to draw on our emotions.
A grandmother I knew said her granddaughter was picked for a well known show, because of her underlining emotional issues, due to her parents substance abuse. They picked these young people to ensure drama. This was about 15 years ago.
This show wants us to side with some and not others....but they are all in it for the money. I feel bad for the children, the lessons they are learning about money.

What got me is Robyn had to have a house first and that's a huge house but poor Janelle didn't have her own house because Robyn has to come first and Kody made sure Janelle got the house for Robyn regardless if Janelle had roof over her head or not..Kody tells Robyn what to do and what to say and they have to be center of attention or Kody’s not happy if Robyn and himself aren't getting respect..
Will Kody & Robyn pay off Jenelle & Meri on their properties? If not, then Jenelle should go ahead and build her house and Meri should be able to sell her property.
I think Kody and Robyns names are on everything too. Maybe Meri (and Janelle too) can sell her interest in the property to another investor. It would be better for both Meri and Janelle to totally cut financial ties with Kody and Robyn. Otherwise they may get stuck with a mess.
I really hope that the non-legal wives have legal recourse via the LLC to recoup money K and R stole
