It's also clear that when he's there Kody doesn't pay attention. Christine mentioned that everything seemingly stopped when Kody got there or he was always on his phone. I mean look at Ysabelle and her surgery. He didn't realize his daughter was in so much pain because he wasn't seeing it! He wanted her to wait six months because clearly there weren't enough hours in the day to tell him,or maybe he didn't listen,what was going on. I remember at one point Janelle was talking to Gabe,Garrison and Savannah and Gabe said that he had been with his girlfriend for year and Kody hadn't met the young lady yet. I think your right but when he does leave her house, she starts tripp'n. I remember when the virus just came out and Kody went to Meri's. He wasn't there literally 2 minutes before she faced timed Kody. Or when he was at Jennelle's and she popped up, to give Jennelle a belated bday present. Once a hubby demonizes a wife, it’s hard for the blinders to come off. Nanny relieves Robyn of parenting. Kody said once he isn’t suppose to seek out a new wife. That the wives can pick. Meri picked Robin. Some speculate Kody asked her to pick Robin. Kody is about Kody. Robyn is about Robyn. Both both work against the other wives. Just different means of doing it. Kody can start tiring of Robyn too. He has a pattern with his wives established. She isn’t immune.
I also get the impression from every member of the brown family that they don’t really have any real conversations. They just seem to go along to get along. Everybody seems to avoid anything uncomfortable until they just can’t take it anymore and things explode in their face, and then they wonder why and how did it happen. If they had simply had conversations, real honest to God conversations and actually herd each other, so many misunderstandings could’ve been avoided. But it also requires someone like Cody to have empathy for someone else’s struggles, instead of dismissing them, or acting like it doesn’t matter. You are soooo right about the second/next wife never living up to the assumptions of their husband. The original traditions, holiday decorations, recipes and shared experiences are not there any more and it can eat away at the new marriage. Soon Robyn may be hearing "Why don't you plan fun family parties as well as Christine?!" and "Why don't you bring in money as well as Janelle?!" and "Why don't you make Meri's rice crispy treats as tasty as Meri?!". Constant comparison kills relationships. It is interesting the number of ex-husbands who show up at the first wife's Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukah tables long after the second/next marriage ends longing for the tastes and traditions of their original family.
It looks like Kody spends most of his time over at Robyn's though. It looked like he was only hanging out at Christine's and Janelle's for a few hours before returning home, and sleepovers were not a frequent thing.

Here's the part I don't get. Meri, Christine, and especially Janelle are not stupid women. Why would the three of them be willing to give their hard-earned money to Robyn and her kids, and later her nanny, and have her name on all the property that THEY paid for. I think your right but when he does leave her house, she starts tripp'n. I remember when the virus just came out and Kody went to Meri's. He wasn't there literally 2 minutes before she faced timed Kody. Or when he was at Jennelle's and she popped up, to give Jennelle a belated bday present. Even Jennelle said it was unusual for her to come over. So I think once she gets him out the house, she can't handle him being with another wife. Seems like Robyn is confused.

The nanny keeps the house and kids. So it really begs the question what do they do? Do they lay around in bed all day playing? Could this explain her hold on Cody? If the other three wives weren't working to support Robyn maybe they could have had more time to play house and keep Robyn from being able to manipulate Cody to the extent where she was able to basically destroy the family. You have to be able to stoke the home fires to keep a relationship alive. None of the three wives who left had a functioning romantic relationship with Cody for almost 10 to 15 years in some cases. Once a hubby demonizes a wife, it’s hard for the blinders to come off. Nanny relieves Robyn of parenting. Kody said once he isn’t suppose to seek out a new wife. That the wives can pick. Meri picked Robin. Some speculate Kody asked her to pick Robin. Kody is about Kody. Robyn is about Robyn. Both both work against the other wives. Just different means of doing it. Kody can start tiring of Robyn too. He has a pattern with his wives established. She isn’t immune.

I also get the impression from every member of the brown family that they don’t really have any real conversations. They just seem to go along to get along. Everybody seems to avoid anything uncomfortable until they just can’t take it anymore and things explode in their face, and then they wonder why and how did it happen. If they had simply had conversations, real honest to God conversations and actually herd each other, so many misunderstandings could’ve been avoided.
But it also requires someone like Cody to have empathy for someone else’s struggles, instead of dismissing them, or acting like it doesn’t matter.
Also, I’m somewhat new to the franchise and I just don’t understand why Robin needs to cry at every drop of the hat? If this is how she really is in real life, she needs to seek professional help.

I wonder how much time she actually helped out Christine with Truely since she was an infant when Robyn joined the family. I recall Christine saying that Kody wouldn’t put Truely to bed at night while she was at work, why didn’t Robyn do it to help Christine out since Christine was working at night to help with the finances and Robyn has never worked since joining the family.

You are soooo right about the second/next wife never living up to the assumptions of their husband. The original traditions, holiday decorations, recipes and shared experiences are not there any more and it can eat away at the new marriage. Soon Robyn may be hearing "Why don't you plan fun family parties as well as Christine?!" and "Why don't you bring in money as well as Janelle?!" and "Why don't you make Meri's rice crispy treats as tasty as Meri?!". Constant comparison kills relationships. It is interesting the number of ex-husbands who show up at the first wife's Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukah tables long after the second/next marriage ends longing for the tastes and traditions of their original family.
It looks like Kody spends most of his time over at Robyn's though. It looked like he was only hanging out at Christine's and Janelle's for a few hours before returning home, and sleepovers were not a frequent thing.

Here's the part I don't get. Meri, Christine, and especially Janelle are not stupid women. Why would the three of them be willing to give their hard-earned money to Robyn and her kids, and later her nanny, and have her name on all the property that THEY paid for. I just can't see Janelle putting up with that. I think there's some piece of the puzzle that hasn't been shared with us. (Like it's our business LOL)
I personally think all these women were so non-confrontational that they would rather give in to Kody's pressure than to argue. That is until Christine grew tired of it and pushed back. Kody being a narcissist needs that narc supply. Since Robyn was the last wife, the new wife, the young wife who strived to keep the honeymoon alive any time Kody was at her house, she's been his supply. But, now with the others gone and no longer reminding him of how great and easy it is at Robyn's, Kody will 100 % get tired of her, turn on her and look for new supply. That's just how narcissists are. If their ego isn't constantly stroked(which is impossible in a 2 partner relationship especially with small children), they search for supplemental ego strokes. I think Robyn is fully aware of this, too.
I agree with the corporate purge mindset when it came with Janelle but not with Christine. I think Kody 100% expected her to be fine with the way he was living his life because of how much she loves the family. Once she left and Janelle reminded him that she is independent he realized (or was coached by Robyn, who knows) she could leave along with Meri and then he and Robyn could shape the family to fit their wants and needs

I think Janelle nailed it when she said that Robyn was a helpless damsel who Kody needed to rescue. While Meri,Janelle and Christine wanted Kody at certain points,and Meri seemingly still does.,it's obvious they do not need him but Robyn needed Kody. I actually believe that has a lot to do with a little bit of the issues Janelle has had with Robyn. Apart from Robyn seemingly manipulating Kody and turning him against Janelle and Kody's sons I think Janelle also was a little annoyed by the fact that Robyn came in with a mountain of debt,no meaningful way to pay it off,and brought in three mouths to feed. Four if you count her own. You nailed that part and also Robyn's behavior has been what resulted in Kody deciding he wants "patriarchy". I don't think he realizes that if he does take over everything and has to resolve issues for Meri,Christine,Janelle and Robyn then he's not going to have time to go to gun shows,perform weddings and ignore and neglect his kids. I really think that the big issue is Kody is like a full-time job and she does get that free time but now she gets to have Kody's full attention,Something she may not want.,but it's so much of a full-time job that she's had to outsource her kids to the nanny. Chasing Janelle out,chasing Christine out and Kody chasing Meri out means that now Kody is Robyn's problem and I don't see her being able to handle Kody like that. So far he loves her and I'm just wondering. When she starts to fail and can't be what he wants her to be is he going to start unleashing some of that wrath on her? It's fine to be a submissive partner but Robyn created a huge problem! She's done such a good job of making Kody feel like the big,strong man and now she's stuck with someone who is going to be on her 24/7.

Robyn wasn’t born into polygamy. Her mother married a polygamist when Robyn was 10. Not only did they live in separate house, they lived in a separate state than the other wives. Sometimes she would only see her step-dad every few weeks. So, she was in a polygamous house for what, maybe 8-9 years? Then she was in a monogamous marriage for more than a decade. She never lived anything that really looked like polygamy. She just knew Meri through her ex husband. She knew Christine and Kody had been going public and were gaining a little fame. She just wanted the fame.

I don't agree with policing someone's delivery to meet your standards. HBO does a great job in presenting his point of view in his currency and in his own energy. Police the show not his commentary.
