- TLC'S Sister Wives supporting cast member, Kody Brown, has been trying to deceive the audience since the beginning of the show. Recently, he has reached a fever pitch where his lies and stories don't make any sense. In desperation, Kody has begun deflecting his anger and frustration with his kids, ex-wives, and viewers by claiming to be outraged at Christine, Janelle, and their children.

Garrison is in the National Guard along with having a job. Was he supposed to go to the government and say his daddy said he can't come for weekend training because he isn't allowed to leave the house? Did Kody forget he moved his entire family to a high cost of living area, insisting they all go with him, and the boys needed to work and save so they could move out? And his tv apology is meaningless when 5 minutes before he said something extremely crass and degrading about Gabe and Garrison's girlfriends, conveniently ignoring the fact that they had responsibilities that were the main reasons they were leaving the house. Just because Kody and Robyn can coast through life without real jobs doesn't mean everyone else can.

You are so right. Flagstaff, before and after the pandemic, is a VERY expensive place to live. I lived there and it’s beautiful and I loved it. It’s referred to as ‘poverty with a view’.
His children. His home. Robyn is his only family. That is all he is saying. Nothing else that comes out of his mouth matters.
I think that deep down Kody realizes that these young men are better men than he is or ever has been. The whole conversation at Coyote Pass proved that Gabe and Garrison had a lot more emotional intelligence than Kody. They made him look like the idiot he is on national tv and he will never forgive them for that. I believe that is what is really driving his anger at them.
Its really a testament to their mothers and these kids how much emotional maturity they do have.
Plus Kod is no spring chicken and he knows it whilst his sons are young and fit!

I think Kody & Robyn expose who they are by accusing others of doing things that ACTUALLY it is how they behave. Like Kody telling Christine that he was worried she’d meet someone & that the new guy would take Truely & his money. Just like how they shook down Robyn’s ex-husband.
A narcissist will never accept the blame for his own actions. Nothing is going Kody’s way because the gig is up and everybody sees him for exactly who he is- his lies, his manipulation, his excuses, his abandonment, his favoritism for Robyn and her children only, and yes even his sifting money out of the family accounts for Robyn and his pleasure spending. This IS why he is soooooo bitter and angry. The walls are caving in and he is being exposed for all the world to see.

Sobyn didn't even stay overnight! She literally went to the ER after they called their family doctor complaining that she "can't breathe" the doc said if she can't breathe take her to the ER, so they did. She claimed she was having trouble breathing YET was talking, was able to record a video diary claiming she couldn't breathe but was wearing a damn mask and talking! If she really couldn't breathe, wearing a mask that makes getting air harder to do, she wouldn't be able to tolerate. She wasn't even on nasal oxygen and all her tests, ekg, oxygen levels, everything came back normal and she was released after a couple hours, was never even admitted to the hospital. I have asthma and have had to go to the ER because I wasn't breathing well, it causes nausea, dizziness and you can't really talk because it takes too much air to talk, you whistle and weeze when you're trying to breathe or talk. When I went into the ER having an asthma attack, the nurse took me back to check vitals, my oxygen was reading in the 80's, the nurse threw me in a wheelchair and RAN me back to an ER room where I was immediately hooked up to oxygen and the doctor came in right away, I was given breathing treatments and steroids, that's what they do when you really "can't breathe." Robyn waited for a room, waited in the ER to be seen, if her oxygen levels had been any lower than about 95% they would have taken her back immediately, she wasn't even on nasal oxygen let alone an oxygen mask, they didn't even have her hooked up to a pulse ox machine, meaning they didn't really believe that she was in danger of not getting enough oxygen, she wasn't whistling while talking, and was talking just fine. This was a way to grab attention and sympathy and be dramatic for ratings and it's freaking insulting to those who lost or almost lost loved ones! My mom really DID have a "death like experience" she was in the hospital for weeks and they didn't think she'd make it through the night at one point, it's been 11 months and she's still on oxygen, THAT'S what a "death like experience" looks like and how dare KoRo use this for sympathy when real people actually died from this shit! Also I'm pretty sure Kody said he tested NEGATIVE on his Covid test but he "felt sick" so he "probably" had it!

I have asthma and have ended up in the ER several times- I could barely walk and my husband did all of the talking. I was rushed so fast into a room to get a breathing treatment and oxygen! They don't mess around when someone can't breathe! Sobyn and her idiot husband are pure drama that insult everybody with their crap everytime they open their mouths. 🙄

Totally agree. Sobyn is a big baby wanting sympathy! Just like you my uncle was in the hospital for 2 months. First 11 days he was in a coma. He was on oxygen for 8 months. He had to sell his home and move in with his son becuz he can no longer drive. He lost his peripheral vision and can not get a drivers license. He’s lucky he survived. Sobyn was far from it. She was looking for sympathy! And HER family got her sick not Janelle or Christines kids!!! Kody is a POS and Sobyn is too!
I was disgusted with the carry on over the covid debacle & the attention seeking at the hospital. My daughter was in hospital with Covid with blood clots on the lungs after fighting it at home for over a week & got rushed into hospital, 5 days later I was blue lighted into hospital With Covid Pneumonia I was on oxygen had infections in most organs & was seriously ill. I was in the same ward as my daughter, we could wave to eachother from our beds. I was in hospital nearly a month. After 10 days My husband was rushed into Critical care & I was given the news on our 30th anniversary he might not pull through. He was on a ventalator & I was on the ward above him but coz of covid rules was unable to go & say my last goodbye (just incase) Luckily he pulled through but I didnt see him for 3 months. He had to learn to walk again & will be on oxygen for the rest of his life. Theres Kody & Robyn wanting sympathy. I couldnt even hold a phone & here is her filming herself didnt need oxygen. Kody carrying on coz he had a near death experience he wouldnt know what one was. I was livid.
Sooo glad all of you pulled through and are working on recovering what is left of your health. This is truly a near death experience. My heart goes out to you and your family! ❤❤❤

When it first started, he said he wasn't very worried about it, then Robyn said she was at risk, so all the sudden "he" made all these rules to "protect his younger kids". After he got covid, he started talking about how Janelle didn't call and check on him, but the fact that when her house had it, he didn't bother to check on her, or her kids.
Why check on someone that ignores your anniversary and Christmas with you and your family. Such a "poor me" loser.
I like how in one sentence, he and Robyn swear that “he” made the rules, but then in one of those last arguments he’s practically in tears asking “why is everyone blaming me for this?” Which is it?

I was disgusted by Kody’s behavior towards his children. He is a horrible person. I don’t ever see him authentically owning his faults and making amends. I felt his apology was forced, false and condescending.
It was done on air! What! Call your kids! That’s when Meri asked, did you call them? He says after a hesitation. I reached out to everyone. On the interview. He never called them or met them individually. His own flesh and blood. He’s incapable of loving. So sad. As a man/ father/husband he shouldn’t care if he got Covid. His concern should have been about his “Family” as he throws that in each wife’s face. What about the family!! He should have stayed quarantined himself and was the go between his whole family. Meet on the patio like they do at Robyn’s. There was no excuse for all of this except Kody gets what he wants when he wants it. Hope it was worth showing what a coward, dead beat dad, lier, emotional wreck, failure you are. Just to get your needs, wants and pencil wet. You picked plural life also. Next time do your research instead of ruining young lives. You guys were adults choosing this, your kids are by products and have damage.

I'm an acute care Occupational Therapist and have worked with covid patients from the beginning. I've watched so many of them fight through it and seen way too many die or have their lives devastated. I've lived with the fear of bringing the virus home to my family every day. Gratefully, my family didn't lose anyone but I know way too many people who weren't as lucky. That being said, I found Kody's histrionics about his experience to be so offensive. Especially when he considered "checking himself in" to the hospital, but "they seem pretty busy" and "I guess I shouldn't play sick". And the "near death-like experience" comment! I wanted to throttle him. He had no idea what those of us carrying for truly sick patients were dealing with on a daily basis. Does he not realize how many people watching also had covid and many had it so much worse or lost loved ones? He needs to snap out of it, grow the hell up, and be thankful it wasn't worse.
Many of those health care workers died caring for the sick, right down to the janitors and painters.
Not to mention him yelling at Janelle that he could have died and she did nothing... I guess he totally forgot that Janelle had covid and he did absolutely zero for her. I don't know how she didn't sling her purse at his face.

I would love for someone to ask him if he would have stopped courting Robyn if he had been courting her when covid hit. Would he have gone 2+ years without seeing her? Because that’s what he’s expected his sons to do, something I seriously doubt he would have done.

I remember reading or seeing something about other polygamist families where the fathers had thrown the oldest male children off their compounds. I believe it's because these "men" are still hunting for sweet young things as wives and can't stand the competition from their own sons. It is more important for the fathers to "get their pencils wet" than to love their own children. kody is certainly a fragile person who can't face being challenged.

My neighbor died of COVID. The fact that they whined about their situation really made me mad. All of his lame rules and excuses don't hold water. I also thought it was very bizarre that the oldest daughter who had to stay downstairs for 10 days was in tears because she didn't get to see him while he was sick.
I’m wondering how much of that was played up. I don’t believe she didn’t “see” them from a distant. I believe that was to show the others how strict they were with the rules in their home. I call bull💩!

I've said this for years, but Kody goes where he is exalted and seen as the hero. His children can't see him in that role because he hasn't earned it.

IF Kody really had covid, it was an extremely mild case. My daughter had it. For the first 3 days, she could barely move. It took all she had to make it to the bathroom. Yet, Kody and Robyn felt up to making a video about it, taking selfies, and don't get me started on that whopping "fever" of 98 or 99 he had! But he calls it a "death-like experience." GTFOH with that BS!!
My brother had it and spent 6 weeks in ICU. He will have long-term side effects, so it pisses me off that Fabio Brown alleges he had a near death experience.

Don’t forget the nanny who came in everyday and at one point brought Covid into the home. They didn’t come down with it at that time but the nanny was benefiting him, so it was ok to interact with her, just like the wedding. He didn’t want to spend time with his other families, and his daughters surgery was an inconvenience to him. He’s a horrible father. He didn’t seem that concerned when Truely was in renal failure and actually having a near death experience. It’s all about Kody. I was offended by Kodys “near death experience”, cause I to suffered from Covid in March of 2020 and have been disabled since then but I wouldn’t even say I had a near death experience. Robyn's son had to have forehead plastic surgery, around the same time (2-3 months, I think) Ysabelle had her spinal surgery. I think he HAD to be there to support Robin and David Dayton. Nobody mentioned him going to that, right?
Yea. Between nanny, Kody and Brianna. They were not following the Kody rules at all. And I’m surprised the ladies didn’t bring that up. To show his rules were bull crappy and an excuse. I heard only one line were Kody says something about so much for being careful. Who knew You can get it anyway. But that was it.

He has daddy issues and has transferred it to his children with Janelle, Christine, and Meri. He should be trying his hardest to ensure that his children don't turn out like him.
I don't think there's a chance Christine's, Janelle's, or Meri's kids will turn out like Kody. Now Robyn's on the other hand, could be his spitting image. They already have a leg-up on being 'unusual'.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous that he has such different expectations for his sons vs. His daughter with Robyn. They’re only 3-4 years apart in age so it’s not like the guys are that much older than her.
Kody and Robyn will expect people to use alcohol wipes on mail, on groceries, change clothes each time they go somewhere (which he did not do after Janelle's mom's funeral) but not get vaccinated and go to a big social event without a mask is just hypocritical and an excuse to not be a husband or father to his other wives and children.

Kody used COVID as an excuse to totally alienate the rest of the family. Truth be told, he had already done this, however, Gabe and Garrison were still extremely young at this time. They wanted/urned for their father! As all the middle kids did!
Yeah watching some of the early episodes it really seems like the oldest kids had the best of Kody for awhile as a dad. Then Robyn came into the family and we really see the deterioration, which the middle children (basically down to Truly) would have felt, and then on top of that they see him turn that “good dad” persona on for Robyn’s kids and the two little ones. It’s really sad. It was so heartbreaking to see Gabe break down the way he did 😔
This world would be a much better place if everyone had a Dad like you, James. You'd never do it but, if anyone could run a polygamous family, you could.

Yes, kudos to Suki to getting Kody to the point of apologizing to Gabe and Garrison HOWEVER I flinched in pain at the words of his apology. Kody talked about protecting 'my family'. Kody proclaimed that the boys were going to kill 'my kids' by not obeying all his covid rules. He positioned his son's with Janelle as 'other'. 'Other' would not obey to protect 'my family (aka Robyn and her kids)'. We heard Kody tell Gabe and Garrison that they are not his family. Kody speaks of them in sexually vulgar terms and accuses them of being potential killers of 'my family'. Kody says that 'Next Time' he will do better. There is no 'Next Time' for Kody. He has burned his bridges. They are all independent adults now. He has no say and zero influence on their actions now. There is zero chance that Gabe, Garrison or many of the kids would accept this 'apology'. There is a song by Harry Chapin called 'Cats in the Cradle' that Kody should study. Then he may begin to understand.
Kody definitely needs to listen to that song! 💯

Don't forget Robyn and Kody were exposed to the c illness a year earlier, by their nanny. Did they fire the nanny and take care of their own kids to keep them safe? Don't forget that Kody wouldn't travel to Izzy's surgery but did travel to go to Janell's mothers' funeral earlier and said he did it because "at some point, you just say the hell with it". The funeral was during the "c" illness and he did not social distance at the funeral. He hugged people.
I’m a recently retired Registered Nurse of 30 years & have worked from the east coast to the west coast in various settings, let me tell you something about the correlation between active & present parenting vs infrequent or absent parenting…
All I can say is:

Kody is the kind of guy that acts like that to women and children because he knows he can rage and pound tables and intimidate them into submission. I saw a lot of loss personally including one friend who lost his father and mother 4 weeks apart both from Covid. Robyn and Kody drama really pissed me off. I wanted to smack them both hard. I never got it so I don’t know how it can be personally but I saw a lot of loss including them calling to tell my parents my brother might not make it through the night. These drama babies are so disrespectful to all the people who really were bad off in icu on ventilators or experienced loss of loved ones. They make me want to scream.
I had Covid when it first came out and I had no idea what it was. It wasn't til after that my doctor was like,"Umm...Dawn...you had Covid. Your entire family had Covid." I'm sorry for what your friend went through. I cannot imagine. I just remember being intensely ill and my poor 14 year old lab mix,Who passed away from cancer that June.,running from my bedroom to another family members room repeatedly. I remember calling work and bieng on the phone in tears because the pain was terrible and it was scary to have resporitory issues but I didn't scream about a 99.9 degree temperature or ask if I should get a chest x-ray. (According to my doctor I should've because I have asthma and my lungs always have a bit of a crackle.) Still,the absurdity of the way Kody behaved was ridiculous.

I was sooo pissed when Robyn said Kody had experienced a lot of rejection this past year. WTF? Kody has been neglecting the children for years and the "other wives" emotionally sexually and financially for almost a decade now. So after years and years of neglect your man want some or some freaky stuff you're just supposed to give it up? Not a turn on. I don't blame them. I saw another reaction to that comment that thought he might be asking for "adventurous" sex and they turned him down and he felt rejected. I thought that was interesting and could see where that was a possibility when I rewatched the "rejection " clip

It was heartbreaking to see Cody let his daughter down, by not being by her side when she had back surgery. Cody also gave Janelle a hard time, when she went to support Madison during her daughter's amputation surgery. Not to mention his neglect when Truly ended up hospitalized with kidney failure. She almost died!
Fast forward to Robin coming down with COVID. Yes she was sick. But it was not a dire situation. Cody was willing to be by her side in the ER. He stayed in his car, while others were back at the mansion. Who was caring for them ??
In the end it is Cody's loss. He has damaged the relationships with many of his children. I feel bad knowing they must deal with the feelings of rejection. But ultimately he is the big loser.
Did you notice his excuse was “I can’t go for six weeks. Be gone from my little ones that long”. Who said you had to go for the whole six weeks!? Go the day before the op, stay for a couple days. Give her comfort . Then go home. Week, tops! What an ass. And no one says anything. I think Robyn put her foot down. Six weeks with Christine! Umm-no! They could rekindle. What if Christine manipulates like her, Robyn. Robyn can’t have that! Narcs all think you think like them. That’s why they are victimized. They know how the game is played.
You are so right about spending time with the children! I'm an old lady and have always made the children my priority. My grown children, nieces and nephews still come to me to talk through issues they are facing. My young great nephews call me all the time asking me to come play with them. Priceless!

If Kody was terribly sick the hospital would have kept him. If Robin was terribly sick they would of kept her. Robyn was hoping to stay to get away from Kody so she could Rest In Peace.
Robyn wasn't even in the hospital overnight. It was just a few hours & they sent her home. Robyn & Kody are pathetic.
I get so sad everytime I see Kody dancing at that wedding, I picture Ysabel on her hospital room thinking that her dad CHOSE NOT to be there with her but decided to officiate and attend a friend's wedding in another state. 😞

My father and I have this kind of relationship. All my life he’s here for a minute, gone for years, comes back for a second, gone for 5 more years. As we’ve aged and time has touched us all, I’ve wondered if he regretted not investing time into his children rather than women, especially now that he’s recently divorced for the 4th or 5th time.
I can’t help but wonder since Christine, Meri, Janelle are out, who will he have if things don’t pan out with Robyn? Phew, can you imagine if the lawsuits are legitimate that’s been recently reported?… and if Robyn files next. Oh my! His “biggest fear”is becoming indigent. You hit the nail on the head. The most heartbreaking part of Sister Wives has been seeing how desperate those kids are for Kody. They would love for him to call or text them. There has been so many opportunities we have seen Kody miss spending time with his kids. For insurance, when Truely spent the night in the RV with Janelle and Savannah. He could have had dinner outdoors with them and s'mores afterward. At that point in COVID, we knew transmission when outside was very very low. Plus Christine wasn't going to be there. Could have seen two kids and one of his wives for a few hours and they all probably would have been happy.

I am a big fan of your channel. Your words are pearls of wisdom. Today, you brought me to tears as you spoke about the important role that fathers play. I am 49 years old and I still work everyday to undo the damage of a father who who was very busy with his important career and who’s primary requirement for loving his children was absolute compliance. I learned very early that my feelings and thoughts not only didn’t matter but were inconvenient. It’s a hard habit to break. The one advantage of growing up the way I did is that it’s made me hyper aware of the way I parent my son. Anyway, thank you for the video. 🙏🏾

Robyn went to the hospital cause she didn’t get better after a week. 🤦🏻♀️ I had Covid, it takes 3 weeks to 3 months to get over it, unless your critical, which will take longer. He didn’t even have a fever when he claims he nearly died.
