It baffles me that Kody didn't understand Janelle and Christine's relationship. They were spiritually married too, they married Kody when they were very young, they raised their children together, they have spent nearly 30 years together which is their entire adult lives. Kody wasn't the only one that experienced loss when Christine left.

Janelle and Christine became closer friends/sisters, especially during covid, cause they actually talked and saw each other. . They worked together all those years, raising the kids earning a living. Christine took care of all those kids while Janelle was at job, then would go to work at night. Their kids all are pretty close to each other, unlike the sobyn crew. Also received pretty much No help from codfish or even Meri. The other trio used covid as an excuse to avoid everyone. Though do feel bad for Meri cause she followed sobyn's rules but still got stuck alone 99% of time, unless sobyn wanted something. I do wonder whether Meri or any have ever really entered the mcsobyn mansion !!

Robyn's family growing up lived in a different state from her father. He lived with his first family and visited her family after all major holidays. Her mom made sure everything was perfect and that he was basically on a vacation when he showed up. She is repeating what she apparently saw when she was growing up.
Robyns smile in the beginning has became a permanent frown. Lips always turned down at the sides. I feel sorry for her kids. She would have been lucky to have Christine help raise her kids. I love Janelle.. she is so honest. Glad she is finally letting us know what we have all been thinking all along.

When he was dancing at that wedding, making himself the center of attention, when he demanded Janelle throw her children out, when he expected the wives to continue to support and be a 'partner' to him, no matter that he kicked them any time they came near. From what is portrayed on the show, Kody seems to be a toxic mix of narcissism and misogyny, a perfect storm if you will. Everyone is expendable when they stop giving him the narcissistic supply he needs to prevent his own self destruction. This is why “loyalty “ is so important to him and he doesn’t care to spend time with children who are older and have autonomy and aren’t the perfect little extensions of him or controllable any longer. Truly is also of a “tender age” but she seems to see through his mask, as the other older kids do. Robyn and her children would be a casualty as well if they didn’t provide him with narc supply.
I'm curious about Robyn's kids. They seem to have 'issues' with being able to get along in society. (I'm trying to be nice here, but it's hard to be politically correct.) I absolutely think that TLC used the cooking show with Christine as a trial balloon, but also a way to give her a huge bonus for agreeing to stay and put the roughest part of her life on TV. I think that contributed towards Kody’s rage last season - Christine has a direct contract with TLC that he can’t control. Then he and Janelle separate and Kody files for a new business entity with just Robyn. I feel like that was a decision during the money talk, division of assets and separation discussions. Janelle’s Strive was founded under the family contract and went to the family funds. I hope she got to keep that as her business. I’m guessing that Kody was told in the spring that there would no longer be one big contract where the family gets paid. Christine will have the primary contract because she is bringing in the ratings and each other of the 5 adults will be paid based on contribution to the success of the show. You can’t compensate Christine who put her while breakup along with Ysabel’s surgery on the same contract as Kody & Robyn trick-or-treating and first day if school content on the same contract and let Kody decide how the money is decided. There were clear steps taken to single out Christine and Janelle and break out stars (People, In Touch, Entertainment Tonight, US weekly) as well as obvious actions taken to distance Meri (cell phone comments from the B&B), minimize Robyn and provoke Kody. Kody knows the show is no longer in his control and he’s feeling betrayed by production and the network... and it’s all Christine’s fault!

I have been reading comments on other videos and most people are saying they would rather see a show with Janelle and Christine than have to see Robyn and Kody anymore.
The tell alls were extremely disappointed. They seemed like a platform for Kody and Robyn to give their opinion of the situation, possibly to attempt to gain back followers. We all know it was filled with their lies and did more to harm them. It’s like they think the audience has no brains and didn’t see any of their part in the demise of the family.

Kody has been tossing out fancy words like "gaslighting" and "triangulation" in these interviews when describing Christine; terms that have been widely used to describe his own behavior. That makes me think he's very much watching his critics. However, as he's completely unable to accept any responsibility for his own actions, the criticisms bounce right off of him. The only thing he takes from them are cherry-picked psychological terms, which he mangles and twists into weapons to use against Christine. He's very ineptly using concepts like "gaslighting" and "triangulation" to frame Christine as the narcissistic villain in his fantasy rewrite of history. It's really something to behold. Kody's managed to completely project all of his own behaviors on his "enemies" (at the moment mostly Christine).
Kody's head must have been spinning when Christine said her dream man is Shemar Moore. I bet he didn't see that coming. I can't believe no one has done a video about that. Kody doesn't seem like the most progressive guy in the world.
I do think you're right on target about Kody. When narcissists feel "injured" they will strike out at virtually anyone they feel has hurt them. Narcissists have moments of enjoyment, but never really any joy in life as they're always looking to see who's against them - do unto others before they can do unto you. They have no ability to assess the damage they are causing since all they care about is vengeance when they're in that rage. Narcissists end up jobless and alone and can't figure out why - they just blame others. It's a really sad scene to watch him destroy his family and go down in flames.

I've been blessed enough to work remotely from my home the past few months. I love it but I do miss my "chit chat" time with my coworkers. The irony is that Kody (and Robyn) have already been given very favorable edits by the producers, many times. Robyn is allowed to not have the cameras inside her house. Robyn's kids don't have to participate in interviews. Kody gets to attend "tell alls" and blatantly refuse to answer softball questions. Neither one have to answer at all for the money they've received from the OG wives. They get to set literally ridiculous terms of their engagement with the show that are only made possible by the OG Wives; a direct reflection of their entire marriage/lifestyle tbh. But for narcissists like K&R this is not enough. The show/Life is only 'fair' if they are at an advantage and everyone else is at a DISADVANTAGE. I believe the producers bend over backwards to keep K&R from looking like villains. He's recreated his own versions determinant on his role in the faith they follow, as well as his own personal experiences. It doesn't help matters that he has no emotional maturity, is short-tempered, with the impulse control of a 3 year old.

From what is portrayed on the show, Kody seems to be a toxic mix of narcissism and misogyny, a perfect storm if you will. Everyone is expendable when they stop giving him the narcissistic supply he needs to prevent his own self destruction. This is why “loyalty “ is so important to him and he doesn’t care to spend time with children who are older and have autonomy and aren’t the perfect little extensions of him or controllable any longer. Truly is also of a “tender age” but she seems to see through his mask, as the other older kids do. Robyn and her children would be a casualty as well if they didn’t provide him with narc supply.

I'm curious about Robyn's kids. They seem to have 'issues' with being able to get along in society. (I'm trying to be nice here, but it's hard to be politically correct.) I absolutely think that TLC used the cooking show with Christine as a trial balloon, but also a way to give her a huge bonus for agreeing to stay and put the roughest part of her life on TV. I think that contributed towards Kody’s rage last season - Christine has a direct contract with TLC that he can’t control.
Then he and Janelle separate and Kody files for a new business entity with just Robyn. I feel like that was a decision during the money talk, division of assets and separation discussions. Janelle’s Strive was founded under the family contract and went to the family funds. I hope she got to keep that as her business.
I’m guessing that Kody was told in the spring that there would no longer be one big contract where the family gets paid. Christine will have the primary contract because she is bringing in the ratings and each other of the 5 adults will be paid based on contribution to the success of the show.
You can’t compensate Christine who put her while breakup along with Ysabel’s surgery on the same contract as Kody & Robyn trick-or-treating and first day if school content on the same contract and let Kody decide how the money is decided.
There were clear steps taken to single out Christine and Janelle and break out stars (People, In Touch, Entertainment Tonight, US weekly) as well as obvious actions taken to distance Meri (cell phone comments from the B&B), minimize Robyn and provoke Kody. Kody knows the show is no longer in his control and he’s feeling betrayed by production and the network... and it’s all Christine’s fault!

I agree with what you said. Kody definitely thinks he is star and Robyn is a costar. The rest of the wives and children are extras in his world. I have been reading comments on other videos and most people are saying they would rather see a show with Janelle and Christine than have to see Robyn and Kody anymore.
The tell alls were extremely disappointed. They seemed like a platform for Kody and Robyn to give their opinion of the situation, possibly to attempt to gain back followers. We all know it was filled with their lies and did more to harm them. It’s like they think the audience has no brains and didn’t see any of their part in the demise of the family.

Kody needs psychiatric help because he has become so bitter and angry all the time and towards his children as well. Kody has been tossing out fancy words like "gaslighting" and "triangulation" in these interviews when describing Christine; terms that have been widely used to describe his own behavior.
That makes me think he's very much watching his critics. However, as he's completely unable to accept any responsibility for his own actions, the criticisms bounce right off of him. The only thing he takes from them are cherry-picked psychological terms, which he mangles and twists into weapons to use against Christine.
He's very ineptly using concepts like "gaslighting" and "triangulation" to frame Christine as the narcissistic villain in his fantasy rewrite of history.
It's really something to behold. Kody's managed to completely project all of his own behaviors on his "enemies" (at the moment mostly Christine).

I do think you're right on target about Kody. When narcissists feel "injured" they will strike out at virtually anyone they feel has hurt them. Narcissists have moments of enjoyment, but never really any joy in life as they're always looking to see who's against them - do unto others before they can do unto you. They have no ability to assess the damage they are causing since all they care about is vengeance when they're in that rage. Narcissists end up jobless and alone and can't figure out why - they just blame others. It's a really sad scene to watch him destroy his family and go down in flames.
Think how many times he says something, and the next segment shows he was lying. It happened so many times-it made him and Robyn look bad. That would have pissed him off for sure.

I've been blessed enough to work remotely from my home the past few months. I love it but I do miss my "chit chat" time with my coworkers. I've never met Mr. James in my life but I feel like he's become my new favorite coworker to chat with about the show. The irony is that Kody (and Robyn) have already been given very favorable edits by the producers, many times. Robyn is allowed to not have the cameras inside her house. Robyn's kids don't have to participate in interviews. Kody gets to attend "tell alls" and blatantly refuse to answer softball questions. Neither one have to answer at all for the money they've received from the OG wives. They get to set literally ridiculous terms of their engagement with the show that are only made possible by the OG Wives; a direct reflection of their entire marriage/lifestyle tbh. But for narcissists like K&R this is not enough. The show/Life is only 'fair' if they are at an advantage and everyone else is at a DISADVANTAGE. That is a narcissist's idea of a level playing field: me on top, you on bottom. I CAN'T win unless everyone else loses. That's why, despite their absurdly favorable filming conditions, they have to demonize Christine and try to make the fan base turn against her by concocting ridiculous lies. I believe the producers bend over backwards to keep K&R from looking like villains. They could easily give themselves better edits on TV by treating their family with respect: the one thing they refuse to do.

They aren't going to hide it altogether because this is still a business and they know that airing will drive up viewership. But he's never made to answer or take accountability for it. From the beginning,This show was never premised on being 'unbiased'. It had a specific vested interest in being a positive PSA for polygamy. The Browns' reality just didn't (and never did, really)meet the brief and they can't hide the cracks anymore.

Kody seems to have different definitions of "loyalty" and "respect" than the textbook definitions. He's recreated his own versions determinant on his role in the faith they follow, as well as his own personal experiences. It doesn't help matters that he has no emotional maturity, is short-tempered, with the impulse control of a 3 year old.
