Robyn once said her mother had a honeymoon experience all through her marriage and never lived under the same roof with her father's other wives. She made up her mind to have the same relationship with Kody. She came into the Brown's family not for love but for selfish reasons. She came into the family to steal and destroy. Lack of unity among the first three wives gave Robyn a upper hand. She successfully stole their husband and robbed the children of their father. Robyn is so pathetic
Selfish? Robyn has cornered the market on being selfish. On another channel it was mentioned that Robyn's ex-husband wasn't really interested in her. He wanted her sister,Fawn instead. What did Robyn do? She got pregnant by him! Imagine this. This woman decided she wanted that man so much that she was willing to potentially betray her own sister to get a man that she has implied abused her,ruined her life,and s.a.'ed her when he "took her purity". If sealing your sister possibly boyfriend,getting pregnant and wrecking your kids father's life isn't selfish then we're going to need to come out with a new word for it.
Robyn is definitely skilled at turning all attention to herself and that was apparent from day one. Any of us that have dealt with relationships with people like Robyn saw this. It was one of the reasons I never liked Robyn - too many red flags! Her self-centeredness was glaringly obvious and was a clear danger to the family.
That's a skill she's had since jump. She convinced Kody she needed him so much and she convinced him her kids needed him so much. She's continued that to this day. Her son is in his early 20s and she's still got Kody convinced that Dayton can't wipe without Kody around. GIve me a flippin' break! I"m all for making a man in my life feel important and that I need him and want him around but I seriously doubt it's beneficial to either parties to think that life will end and the universe will cease to exsist without this man around to help you. Kody wants to be needed and Robyn is needy and completely co-dependant.
@Marlene Mcphee seems like lately the only effort Robyn puts in is satisfying and manipulating Kody. Heck,she outsourced her kids and the biggest issue the family has is Kody doesn't see Robyn for what she really is.
I'm not suprised Kody was easily manipulated, the guy seems a bit dimwitted. Meri on the other hand was supposed to be the guard that protected the family. Robyn lucked out that Meri was vulnerable and had burned her family relationships. Robyn was the Trojan horse and Meri brought her in.
The dude's not going to be attending any Mensa meetings. Let's just say that and one thing I'll give Robyn is she's not stupid. She's given Kody every blasted thing he's wanted. A hot,young wife,who will do whatever depraived thing he wants in the sack,two brats,three older kids who worship him,she blindly obeys him but only after she manipulates him into thinking his dumb arse came up with what he thinks are his ideas. She's actually managed to convince her idiot husband that he's the bravest,smartest,and strongest man around and that the three women he spent over 17 years with,before she showed up,were all to blame for wanting to bail. She even managed to convince him that 14 of his 18 children are wrong because they would rather crawl through raw sewage and broken glass then speak to him.

(sob) If you watch that segment again from the 3:15 mark, Robyn honestly looks like she bursts out laughing at what Christine had just said, but then decided that the optics wouldn't look so good, so she had better turn that laugh into a cry ASAP! And the WTF looks on Meri and Christine's faces are priceless.
She was making out with Kody when he dropped the kids off and Christine was in labor. It's going to be sorta hard to yell at the SOB who did that you while he's swapping spit with his new girlfriend.
I still think Janelle was thinking,"If I gotta stretch the family budget even further to cover this woman's acting lessons we're all gonna be back on Snap soon enough."
When you look at all their faces after the wedding dress fiasco you can see Meri and Janelle were both mad too. In the book Janelle said the producer had them wear the same clothes and same hair style because it took 3 days for Christine to come back to the couch after she walked off that day.

I'm not saying that under the right circumstances they couldn't have added Robyn but it fell apart because Robyn came in with no respect and a tremendous sense of entitlement. She demanded Kody's time,she planned that big elaborate wedding and reception,and while all of this is going on not only is Kody traveling 5 hours both ways, he's ignoring requests to stay home,and he's doing it while Christine is parenting 13 kids,working,pregnant and I do not buy for a minute that Christine believed they were just kissing. I think Christine pretty much surmized in that moment that Kody was sleeping with Robyn while he was going to see her. This was in the later half of Christine's pregnancy and she was supposed to not feel hurt and angry? In that scene you mentioned Christine said,"Every woman is in fact crazy,every man a fool." and she implored Kody to do beter by them because they chose him. You could hear the hurt and angry dripping from her words and yes,Janelle and Meri looked angry. They spent hours watching Robyn model wedding dress and nothing came of it. Not even the bonding moment it should've been because in the end Kody and Robyn turned into another situation where Kody did something for Robyn that he did not do for Meri,Janelle or Christine. How can they claim that Kody loved all of them when he was clearly giving Robyn this and it was something they had never gotten?
@@dawnclark4635 I've always thought there were red flags right from the start. I think by the time Christine and Janelle found out about Robyn it was to late and Kody was going to marry her no matter what. I think that after 16 years neither Christine or Janelle thought a new wife would be coming in and I don't blame Christine for feeling put out or Janelle for resenting the extra financial burden. I think because of Meri's resentment towards the other wives she was easy to dupe. She would never admit it but I wonder if to herself Meri admits she made a mistake that just put the family on a downward trajectory although kody being who he is may have ruined the family anyway.

Honestly,Robyn was so sneaky and manipulative coming in so upon reexamining all of it I really think that she had no intension of ever getting along with the other wives. She just figured after all this time they wouldn't leave.
I could spot what Robyn was doing the first time she started the fake crying when Christine spoke up about how she felt about the courtship. She uses crying as a defense so that you will stop talking about it and even maybe take back what you expressed. My mother used this technique whenever one of us would try to get real with her about her abuse. It always worked until I got older and had children of my own. My son had told me what my mother said and did to my daughter when she was watching them and when I confronted her about it she turned on the tears and denied it saying my son was lying. I told her no that he wasn't because what she said and did to my daughter was exactly what she had said and did to me when I was a kid. Kody is going to see what he lost and regret it one day. But too late for him, he asked for it.

Spot on as usual. The only effective way to deal with a narcissist is to cut them out of your life but in some situations such as the poor wife situation you can't. I started watching the season's over recently and I cannot wait until you get to the part with Christine's daughter surgery. Cody was absolutely horrible. And it was so obvious that Robin's fears were what the bases were for all this strict covid fanaticism of his. Another moment was when Christine and Janelle decided to have Thanksgiving away from the family because of the rules and wanted to see their children and how Robin framed that to her children. She forced her children to think that these people did not care about them and did not want to be with them and then she goes on to say that she's the one that has to keep morale high. Completely delusional!
I can’t imagine being Christine in this situation. Having all this information, Kody knowingly, turned his back on her. Headed on his way to see Robin.
I'm glad that Christine gained strength through Kody's selfishness and Robyn's desperation to keep Kody close. Christine is now a better and stronger woman because she had to learn to function without that useless husk of a deadbeat dad that Robyn has turned Kody into and Robyn may not see it but it reminds me of that scene in "Look Who's Talking" when Kristie Alley's character Molly takes her son to meet his bio dad and he says,"I think about you all the time." and she says,"You wouldn't know it from our end." That is precisely what Christine experienced with Kody!
His selfishness and cruelty toward her will turn right around and bite him. It’s only downhill from here for Kody and Robyn, whereas for Christine it’s only going to get better and better. And because Kody is so small and petty he will undoubtedly stalk her every move and compare her life to his and be doubly mad by seeing her star rise as his crashes and burns. The poverty, poor public image, and lack of loving family relationships ahead of him are exactly what he deserves.

@@catco8644, I'm sure it was so much better for Kody to be macking on Robyn rather then being told how his third wife thought he was an SOB and how he'd never touch her again. Although if you watch Truely's birth I think Christine was far more plesent then I would've been. Kody wouldn't have had to worry about kissing Robyn because once he got to the hospital I probably would've yanked his lips and his babymaker off.
She plays the victim so well. Now that all the other ladies have discovered their worth and Robyn ultimately got what she wanted Kodi all to herself. I wonder if her plan was to benefit off the financial gain from being wife number 4. In season 17 she seems irritated with Kodi’s moods and the fact that he is at her home the majority of the time..they truly are a match made in celestial bliss..
She's also really good at validating Kody's victim complex and allows him to take those feelings out on other people. Sometimes I wonder if Kody is aware of the manipulation and just choose to ignore it. In one of the episodes this past season the very second Kody started to lash out she butted in to tell him,"Well,Kody you've been through a lot." and I think that's where she succeded to use his bruised ego to her advantage. The only problem was Janelle wasn't buying at she was selling. That's where the whole,"I'm so sick of councilor Robyn." thing came from and I think Robyn thinkis if she can manpulate Kody she might be able to do that with the other women. Honestly,I think Meri was just afraid to cross Kody and felt she'd been punished enough. Plus, with Christine leaving Kody might focus on Janelle but he also could lash out at Meri. (I think that and the allegations that are out now could derail Robyn and Kody's gravey train.) When she talked about how Kody was lining up all women and angry because Christine left but as I tell women who do what Robyn does,"Crying only works on men,dear." You could see in that moment Janelle was done. She had seen enough. She knew exactly what Robyn was doing and basically ignored her. She instead focused on Kody and continued her conversation with him. I honestly think the one thing Robyn has yet to learn is Janelle does not give a damn what she does. She can cry,play the victim and sic Kody on her all Robyn wants and it's not going to get her,her way. Unless her goal was to kick the rest of the wives to the curb and be stuck dealing with Kody til she decides to leave him too.
Robin never wanted Kody full time she just likes rubbing it in the other wives face that she had it ie between her 🦵🏼 like that but in the end she over played her hand her and Kody never ever through for a second that their little chain of fools would break free Christine lead the Charge and the rest followed Too #with that TLC money 😂
I think because the three where married for so long, they all had a type of innocence to them and Robin came in and manipulated that innocence. Abusers / narcissists see victims so easy. When I finally left my ex, my therapist told me the best piece of advice I have ever heard. She said, when you walk into a room, that first person you are attracted to, stay away from, because they are exactly the same as the person you just left. I don’t know where I’m going with this, but I feel it applies to Robin and the Sister Wives.
Robyn isn't suited for polygamy. She never understood or accepted the communal aspects of polygamy. Robyn never understood that it was her responsibility (to work on herself) to merge with the existing family and their values. She did not allow herself or her children to merge with the existing family either.
Robyn lived in a monogamous relationship for 9 years, so even though she said she wanted to live polygamy I never felt she knew what it was or how to do it. Her rotation in the schedule should have been every 4 days but she even finessed herself extra under the guise of the 'tender age' children can't be away from Kody for more than a couple days. She wanted the best of both worlds.

Two or three reasons stick out as to why she potentially never ended up with that. EIther her ex-husband didn't want it,Could be true because he and his current wife don't live it.,Robyn was such a heartless shrew that every other woman who could've become part of the family went,"Aww,Hell naw!" and walked, or it just wasn't possible. Either way Robyn is just awful enough to have chased women away. I've heard that Robyn's sister was actually the woman that her ex-husband had a crush on and Robyn pushed her way in and got pregnant. We all had to sit through her little "purity" speech and hear how he took her virtue from her but think about this. He didn't want her. He had a crush on her sister and somehow he knocks up Robyn. He didn't take crap. She gave it up and got pregnant knowing that he'd marry her. Her little victim complex plays well with Kody because he wants to be needed so badly and he gave Meri,Janelle and Christine too much freedom. Robyn's fine living in the cage provided that Kody will change the papers and give her fresh water and seeds.

I think snobyn has always been very jealous of Christine and the relationship all the OG 13 kids have with her and the immense love the kids all have for Christine. There's no way she'd allow her kids to love anyone as much as they love her. I think snobyn put a target on Christine's back from day one. The fact that sobyn purposely hurt her kids by telling them "the family doesn't care to see you guys for Thanksgiving" when the truth was she made unattainable rules for the family in order for them to get together. My mother was a narcissist and I would argue, likely a sociopath. Your way of explaining how they assess and “relate” to people was one of the most spot-on descriptions I’ve heard. I completely agree. It took me years to see Robyn for what she was, but now I can easily watch old episodes and see every red flag in the book, including where she probably started gathering information from the other wives and then using it to manipulate Kody against them.
You always bring out stuff I never thought of. The wives were taught in their cult that they must comply and be obedient to Kody. So for them to even question Kody about his belief that Robyn was God approved for Kody was a huge step. But there was no stopping him. I think he would have given up all 3 wives to have Robyn.
I'm sure a lot of the men in Kody's faith would sya that Kody had allowed his wives to become too liberated and have too much freedom. Not the Dargers or the guy who said that if one of his wives was jealous of his other wives it was his fault and it was about something he didn't give her but then again let's be honest. Once again James you've nailed it. I don't see Robyn as being that fragile. I honestly think she's figured out how to play Kody like a fiddle. Every single time Robyn has done something to wrong one of the other wives the other wife cannot even say,"Hey,wait. You did x,y and z." because Robyn has learned how to get Kody to jump to her defense. He talks about how Robyn came into the family,hat in hand and never hurt anyone. Truthfully? If Robyn had gone in with no intension of hurting anyone first and foremost she would've told Kody and Meri,'Before this gets too serious I want to meet Christine and Janelle because they are part of this too and I want their approval." She was fine with Meri and Kody keeping her their dity,little secret. Second,if she truely cared about Christine's feelings when Kody popped the question she wouldn't have sealed that engagment with a kiss. She would've been more respectful of the women and it would've been a case of,"We're not going to kiss til after we're married." but she didn't do that either and then you're coming up to it and that's the episode with the wedding dress. If you thought Christine was angry about that kiss wait til you see her reaction to the wedding dress. Robyn had those women picking out dresses for hours and she picked none of them but went back with Kody and HE picked her dress. (I believe that these are the reason Robyn lost Christine.) Janelle was responsible for the bills and making sure the money stretched as far as it could. Robyn came in with a mountain of debt,no meaningful way to pay it off and three kids. Janelle had to stretch that money to pay for herself,Kody,her six kids,Christine,her six kids,Meri,her kid,Meri's schooling,and then toss in Robyn and her three. I believe that Janelle thought that Robyn would at least get a part time job to help but she never,ever did. To me there's a certain level of absurdity to this idea that Robyn came in,hat in hand and never hurt anyone. She hurt Christine's feelings,she made Janelle miserable by simply not being considerate enough to not expect this elaborate wedding,a huge reception and a honeymoon,and she basically used Meri's bad relationship with Janelle and Christine plus Meri's struggles with the kids and Kody to drive a bigger wedge between them. Robyn knew exactly what she was doing. She's basically that one friend you have that messes up and says,"I'm sorry if you're hurt." but she's not really sorry. Like I always tell my one friend who makes really rude jokes and then says,"Oh,but I was just kidding.","B!tch,please! If you were just kidding we'd both be laughing."
Yes and it may have been better by the time she came around, but McKelti said they sometimes had only day old bread and maybe one hotdog each for dinner. They were already stretched thin. I’m sure it improved with the TLC money but that would have been very stressful for Janelle

WTH and I watched Mykelti's stream and when Tony said,"Hot dogs." Mykelti said,"Hot dogs? I wish!" @@princess4u62,Mykelti did live with Robyn for a bit. Once again the princess couldn't take care of her own kids so she needed one of the kids to move in for help. You know Meri wasn't going to let her kid do it,Aspyn was helping Christine with Truely and her younger siblings,I doubt seriously that Janelle would've offered up Maddie,and that left Mykelti to go be childcare for Robyn. I actually think that's why Mykelti has a good relationship with her dad and Robyn because she was there. She got attention from her dad by default because if she hadn't been there she wouldn't have seen Kody at all.

I was stunned when I heard some of this stuff that Robyn pulled and honestly I was s.a.'ed by someone I trusted and loved and I thought cared about me when I was 14 so i find Robyn's behaivor totally insulting. In fairness I didn't even realize that,that's what happened to me until a few years ago when the shutdown,from Covid,happened and I started having panic attacks. I decided I needed to speak to a mental health professional because I had been through a lot. I had Covid, I had been work furloughed,my ex boyfriend verbally abused me,broke up with me,and my dog died. As we were disecting my past relationships he brought up s.a. and asked me if I had ever felt like I had been s.a.'ed and I told him that I didn't know. As I told him the story about the first person I ever really loved and how he locked me in a room with him and told me I couldn't leave til I "showed him how much I loved him" my doctor said,"Dawn,that is s.a.." She started seeing a guy who really liked her sister,she did the deed,got pregnant and married the guy. She wrecked his life and took his children away. She made herself sound like such an angel when in truth if you listen to what Katie said and all the things that James brought up you can really see that Robyn is pretty evil.
Completely agree, she's been crying to get her way since childhood, a big clue to that is the whole stealing her ex husband from her sister thing. Apparently her own mother even warned her ex husband to not get with Robyn. It would seem her family wasn't in support of Robyn dating her sister's suitor but they got on board with it, this had to have taken a great deal of manipulation to accomplish her goal and get everyone's support. Sob and Kod were DEFINITELY sleeping together before marriage, she didn't make her ex husband wait so why make Kody. Kody was in lust with her since day 1 so she didn't need to "hold out" to get Kody hooked. I don't know if most of us missed her manipulative narcissism for a long time because it was a slightly less evolved time, if we were younger and just didn't pay attention or what but it's kinda gross that most of us missed her crap when it was obvious from season 1, episode 1. In my case I might have missed it because I hadn't went to college and studied psychology yet but it's kind of upsetting because we supported this show and allowed this to go on, by watching we supported their lifestyle. Sobyn has seemed to be lazy since the start of the show and nothing has changed, I bet that's why she's put on weight, her laziness and paranoia of the outside world. Her financial abuse of the other wives and kids was terrible but at least the other wives didn't lose what Meri did. Whether Meri is likeable or not that poor women gave up her marriage, her financial future and her child's inheritance for Sobyn. The timing was HIGHLY suspicious too (if I'm remembering correctly), Sobyn told Meri right after she had Sol (fall 2011) that she would be a "surrogate" for Meri and Kody to have another baby, this "selfless" act by Sobyn. Shortly after, Meri agrees to divorce Kody, another "selfless" act. Meri could have done this as a way of "one upping" Sobyn's selfless act for her but I think it's more likely Meri felt touched and so gracious that Robyn was willing to do this for her that she felt like she had to "repay" the kindness. After the divorce Sobyn tells Meri to "get over it, I'm sick of hearing about it" it seems their relationship changed quickly after the divorce when Meri was no longer needed by Sob. That alone tells you everything you need to know about Sobyn.
@@youtubeismytimemachine5917 that's true. Although if the rumors circulating that Sobyn wasn't actually raised in polygamy are true, her mom may have been more understanding. Some are saying that Sobyn's stepdad (who raised her) wasn't a polygamist, her mom was her stepdad's mistress. He led a double life, he had his mistress he supported in one state and his wife and biological children in another state, it was an affair not a religious conviction. If that's true, it explains a lot about Sobyn's mind and thought process. It would explain why she's so transactional, why she uses sex to manipulate men, why she's always at Victoria's Secret, why she treats men like her "best customer" and would explain why her mom would make comments like "get your scent out there" which is absolutely disgusting.
Really enjoying seeing the past family through the James lens of reality. One caveat though, crying doesn't indicate weakness and emotional instability/depression (that can make people cry) doesn't mean weakness. Robyn wouldn't be weak if she sincerely cried at the drop of the hat, she would just need therapy, and we all do at some point. That said, I have to laugh at myself that I thought it was sincere for so many years. "Oh, she just feels a lot!" Ha, no. I love that you point out what triggers the "crying", it makes it much easier to spot it as a manipulation tactic.
You are right on the money about Robyn being more worldly than the other wives and Kody. She has had to hustle. The sister wives have not. Janelle was married but she had to have him concert before they even started dating. So she was sheltered too.
I don't nessicarily think Robyn is worldly. Robyn knows how to play on a man's desire to be needed. She knows how to look pretty and not ugly cry. That waving her hands thing and the fake sobbing is not an accident. It's designed into manipulating men. She's been doing it since she was young. Heck,her first husband wasn't even really interested in her but instead had a crush on her sister and how did Robyn handle that? She pushed in,got pregnant and married the guy. Gotta hand it to the chick. When it comes to manipulating men Robyn's convincing. She convinced her ex to do the mattress macaraina with her,got pregnant and wound up being a housewife even after she drove them into the poor house and she convinced Kody to desimate his three previous relationships with women he clearly loved at the beginning of the show and effectively disown his kids that aren't hers.

I think Kody was bored and horny. His pants got tight around Robyn and like a lot of selfish men he wanted something new to play with. I do not buy for a single second that the man that Kody is was content with just having these three women that he had for more then a decade. At the point that Robyn joined the family I honestly think Christine deserved even more of Kody's time then even Janelle and Meri. She had,had a miscarriage,she had five children,she was pregnant and she needed her husband by her side and where was Kody? Sucking face with Robyn. Christine deserved to be loved,to be doted on and cared for and Kody was far,far more interested in making out with Robyn and being worshipped by her kids. @Helix Moore Yes I am aware he didn't stop it, but if what Robin's saying in the earlier seasons, that she didn't want to start problems, then it never should have even been a subject/topic to be decided on in the first place. The fact that he didn't stop thought let alone the action the minute Robin brought it up he should have squashed it and told her never brought up again, instead they end up doing just what Robin wanted, he never should have agreed, especially with a pregnancy at home. Yes, he is just as guilty, but as I said from the very beginning even b4 her marriage Robin was testing the waters and seeing Just how far she could push/manipulate/lie and cheat and steal.... Robyn had Kody in her cross hairs before she was even divorced. She smelled money and followed her nose right to his doorstep. Meri likes to think she found Robyn but that’s not the case. In their book Kody said they had to postpone their wedding because of filming but in reality her divorce wasn’t finalized yet, that means her and Kody were committing adultery at the time.
In the very first episode she sort of established that. That little line about Kody being her soulmate because he made some list she made shows that. She made that list two full years before her ex-husband filed for divorce. If you're with someone and you love them why would you need another man to meet the requirments on that list? You're married. Nobody's perfect but being that he might've met some of her requirements why was she making a list and saying that Kody checked all the boxes?
Robyn left her Husband, took the kids and went looking to meet the Browns once she heard about the Show. She knew the Endgame was to be a wife, position herself and her kids as the favorites and eventually got Meri to divorce Kody so she could be the legal wife. Robyn destroyed her own family and then the Browns. She is only looking after herself.
She wrecked that man's life before and after she left too. I mean once she met and married Kody there was no reason to treat her ex so badly other then to paint a sob story and make everyone feel sorry for her. She made him sound like he committed dv,s.a.'ed her,she took his money,and then his children. She could've just said,"We were so unhappy but he's an okay guy and he loves the kids." but nope. She turned him into a monster just because she wanted sympathy.
Robyn has generously passed the act of using crocodile [dry] tears on to her daughters. They are constantly "afraid", thin skinned, and entitled. The daughters are at least shedding tears. Robyn's tears are like a breeze on the Sahara desert. Kody referred to Robyn as his 'girlfriend; as he made out with her prior to heading out to the hospital while Christine was in labor. Robyn has brought out the very worst in Kody, and Kody enables Robyn's poor behavior. The wives couldn't really resist Robyn because Kody & Meri brought in Robyn behind their backs as their special "secret".
They've learned to be manipulative and snotty from their mom and that's why it was so easy for them to mock Savannah at the 5th wheel. "Oh,is that the dogs room?" or "Is that a footbath?" She also passed something else to them though. Anxiety and that's where they are going to have to learn to be really careful because people will try,if you have anxiety, to take advantage of you. One of Robyn's daughter either literally or plays paralyzed when she has anxiety and that can get scary. Especially if you're not playing and you attempt to manipulate the wrong person.
I just made a TikTok on this...About Robyn, didn't want to move into the house. Knowing her personality now, when she doesn't want to do something she starts shaking her head no before even speaking/while the other person is talking. Every time I see that video of her crying about the kiss situation it reminds me of my now 5 yr old when a few years ago she’d get in trbl and start to cry her way out of it. She should have left while in her early 40s. The other 2 had so many childre... 6 each...and one with a newborn. They were pretty much stuck....most men are not going to want to date someone with 6 children and many young or newborn. I blame Robyn more than even Kody. As a woman myself....always feel women should watch out for each other. She was too young to enter an established family....with older women.

Let's be honest. There's only one way that Robin can manipulate Kody. Her personality is boring and wimpy. It has always been her language. She came with a Victoria Secret debt, so the other wives must have known. Kody behaved like a teenager & wasn't man enough to take care of his family. It's actually a bit difficult to see Kody's behavior the first season. Apparently the wives and children should just put up with Kody beeing in love. Toxic dynamic.
Robyn strikes me as the type of person that if you tell her something she's going to find a way to use it against you. In the last Tell-All Kody described Meri,Janelle and Christine sh!t talking him and that Robyn never had. She said the other wives gave him to her because they didn't want him and he felt like he was being ignored. I suspect Robyn heard that and decided to give Kody what he wanted. An obeident,submissive wife who would do what he wanted and she sides with him 99% of the time. With all the ego boosting and Kody's trips into the manosphere is it any wonder that he thinks the way he does? She's lead him to believe his former wives don't see him as a leader,she's convinced him that he never loved them,and that 13 of his 18 kids are in the wrong because they see him treating thier moms like trash.

Even to the most villainous mind, they are the heroes of their own story. I think Kody feels justified in everything he does. He will nit pick or create a reason why the other wives "deserve" his behavior.

It was so hard to not realize it and feel sorry for Christine at that point. The miscarriage. The lack of love. The lack of attention from Kody. I honestly think that he might've been able to salvage things with Christine had he simply gone to Ysabelle's surgery or if not at least be on better terms with her!

The old saying “Be careful what you wish for.” Applies here. All the wives that knew how to make a living have left and Kody has never been a good provider. Now she has Kody the man baby all to herself.
It doesn’t take a mental health diagnosis to know what a person like Robyn is. She is emotionally manipulative, and she lives in a hall of mirrors, all of them reflecting Robyn back to Robyn. She’s the most interesting person she knows, just as Kody is a legend in his own mind. They will not be able to occupy the same space for long, unless they bring in other wives to keep the show going, and choose women who have money, or can make enough money, to support them. And who will obey Kody. Robyn does not want to be on her own with Kody. The other wives enabled the two of them, and I don’t think they knew to expect their behavior. Most of us don’t look for deception, because we don’t lie. Except for things like, “Oh, sweetie, that haircut is so. . .cute.”

Soooooo interesting about Christine’s previous miscarriage!!!! I never considered before how much more awful Kody looks given these circumstances!!! Ugh!! I didn’t watch the show from the very beginning, and was unaware of the crap Kody and Robyn pulled on the wives. Robyn counted on the wives presenting a weak front and used that weakness to ruin this family. I doubt seriously she’ll get any time in Heaven after all her shenanigans with Kody. Meri has said that she and Kody were in a bit of rough spot when she started talking to Robyn and that she never had a great bond with Christine and Janelle. I think out of nessesity Christine and Janelle got to be pals because of the kids and through Meri's mistreatment of Janelle,Christine and hte kids she pushed herself out of possibly having that and when she looked at Robyn she thought,"If I can get this really pretty,younger woman to Kody and he falls for her it'll give me an advantage." What she didn't realize is what someone will do with you they will do to you and she used the alienation and hate to destroy Meri and make her terrible to Kody.

I was wondering this too. Some narcissistic people are unaware (but still act the same as someone who is intentionally manipulating others). I don’t know how aware Robyn is. And that would explain how it seems like she genuinely thinks she’s the victim. She doesn’t realize what she’s doing to the other wives (not saying that makes it ok) and so to her it genuinely looks like “hey I’ve been open and I’ve tried and they just never accepted me”

OMG, Yes, one of my pet peeves!! I've had people do this to me; I pack my own sh** the last time we moved, I had movers and they were like OMG we will move you any time you rock!!
I know this is a year and a half old but Robin knew about the show before she even met the browns. And Christine had only ever had one miscarriage. It was a high risk pregnancy due to it being a geriatric pregnancy (any pregnancy over 35 is considered geriatric) but it wasn’t just a regular miscarriage she was bleeding so much that she lost consciousness …. This is a perfect example of why miscarriages and even the first day or 2 after giving birth can be so dangerous cause you’re bleeding …. You lose a baby you’re bleeding, postnatal you’re bleeding …. And you basically expect it to be more than a heavy period but because of the that a lot of women wait to get help because they just assume this amount of bleeding is normal and you’d be surprised at how many women go to get help too late and end up passing away from it. That’s why your OB will constantly be checking you or at least having the postpartum nurses checking on you and paying attention to how you’re feeling how you look physically you’re vitals etc because starting to hemorrhage and bleeding out… there’s a very fine line between them. Ans that’s not just something that happens in 3rd world countries or places that people don’t have access to adequate healthcare …. This happens too often even here! In the US! Anyway, my other point is that Christine could have been 27 and never had a miscarriage and been having a perfectly health low risk pregnancy…. Kody up and leaving and driving 5 hours to St. George and back every weekend or every other weekend would be terrible and would have made him look horrible.
I think some of Robyn's choices and actions come from a place of extreme anxiety and desperation which can be expressed as controlling behaviors. I don't think she went into this family with bad intentions, but the level of anxiety she lives at constantly makes her want to control every single situation around her, even ones not involving her. It's the only way she feels "safe."
This is an interesting take. I see some signs of this too and have always seen Kody as the narcissist instead of Robyn (although I guess they both could be). I definitely think Robyn is manipulative, but i find it hard to tell what’s motivating her.
Robyn once said her mother had a honeymoon experience all through her marriage and never lived under the same roof with her father's other wives.

What did Robyn do? She got pregnant by him! Imagine this. This woman decided she wanted that man so much that she was willing to potentially betray her own sister to get a man that she has implied abused her,ruined her life,and s.a.'ed her when he "took her purity". If sealing your sister possibly boyfriend,getting pregnant and wrecking your kids father's life isn't selfish then we're going to need to come out with a new word for it.

Robyn is definitely skilled at turning all attention to herself and that was apparent from day one. Any of us that have dealt with relationships with people like Robyn saw this. It was one of the reasons I never liked Robyn - too many red flags! Her self-centeredness was glaringly obvious and was a clear danger to the family.
That's a skill she's had since jump. She convinced Kody she needed him so much and she convinced him her kids needed him so much. She's continued that to this day. Her son is in his early 20s and she's still got Kody convinced that Dayton can't wipe without Kody around. GIve me a flippin' break! I"m all for making a man in my life feel important and that I need him and want him around but I seriously doubt it's beneficial to either parties to think that life will end and the universe will cease to exsist without this man around to help you. Kody wants to be needed and Robyn is needy and completely co-dependant.

When you look at all their faces after the wedding dress fiasco you can see Meri and Janelle were both mad too. In the book Janelle said the producer had them wear the same clothes and same hair style because it took 3 days for Christine to come back to the couch after she walked off that day.

I'm not saying that under the right circumstances they couldn't have added Robyn but it fell apart because Robyn came in with no respect and a tremendous sense of entitlement. She demanded Kody's time,she planned that big elaborate wedding and reception,and while all of this is going on not only is Kody traveling 5 hours both ways, he's ignoring requests to stay home,and he's doing it while Christine is parenting 13 kids,working,pregnant and I do not buy for a minute that Christine believed they were just kissing. I think Christine pretty much surmized in that moment that Kody was sleeping with Robyn while he was going to see her. This was in the later half of Christine's pregnancy and she was supposed to not feel hurt and angry? In that scene you mentioned Christine said,"Every woman is in fact crazy,every man a fool." and she implored Kody to do beter by them because they chose him. You could hear the hurt and angry dripping from her words and yes,Janelle and Meri looked angry. They spent hours watching Robyn model wedding dress and nothing came of it. Not even the bonding moment it should've been because in the end Kody and Robyn turned into another situation where Kody did something for Robyn that he did not do for Meri,Janelle or Christine. How can they claim that Kody loved all of them when he was clearly giving Robyn this and it was something they had never gotten?

I think by the time Christine and Janelle found out about Robyn it was to late and Kody was going to marry her no matter what. I think that after 16 years neither Christine or Janelle thought a new wife would be coming in and I don't blame Christine for feeling put out or Janelle for resenting the extra financial burden. I think because of Meri's resentment towards the other wives she was easy to dupe. She would never admit it but I wonder if to herself Meri admits she made a mistake that just put the family on a downward trajectory although kody being who he is may have ruined the family anyway.

I could spot what Robyn was doing the first time she started the fake crying when Christine spoke up about how she felt about the courtship. She uses crying as a defense so that you will stop talking about it and even maybe take back what you expressed. My mother used this technique whenever one of us would try to get real with her about her abuse. It always worked until I got older and had children of my own. My son had told me what my mother said and did to my daughter when she was watching them and when I confronted her about it she turned on the tears and denied it saying my son was lying. I told her no that he wasn't because what she said and did to my daughter was exactly what she had said and did to me when I was a kid. Kody is going to see what he lost and regret it one day. But too late for him, he asked for it.
Do you boo- boo but I have to wonder why you'd leave your children with a person that once abused you? I have no doubt you're an amazing mama. It seems like a huge red flag but like I said, do you.
Spot on as usual. The only effective way to deal with a narcissist is to cut them out of your life but in some situations such as the poor wife situation you can't. I started watching the season's over recently and I cannot wait until you get to the part with Christine's daughter surgery. Cody was absolutely horrible. And it was so obvious that Robin's fears were what the bases were for all this strict covid fanaticism of his. Another moment was when Christine and Janelle decided to have Thanksgiving away from the family because of the rules and wanted to see their children and how Robin framed that to her children. She forced her children to think that these people did not care about them and did not want to be with them and then she goes on to say that she's the one that has to keep morale high. Completely delusional!
I agree. The kiss exposed how comfortable they were to let the other wives know Robyn’s new/future position in the family.

I'm glad that Christine gained strength through Kody's selfishness and Robyn's desperation to keep Kody close. Christine is now a better and stronger woman because she had to learn to function without that useless husk of a deadbeat dad that Robyn has turned Kody into and Robyn may not see it but it reminds me of that scene in "Look Who's Talking" when Kristie Alley's character Molly takes her son to meet his bio dad and he says,"I think about you all the time." and she says,"You wouldn't know it from our end." That is precisely what Christine experienced with Kody!
His selfishness and cruelty toward her will turn right around and bite him. It’s only downhill from here for Kody and Robyn, whereas for Christine it’s only going to get better and better. And because Kody is so small and petty he will undoubtedly stalk her every move and compare her life to his and be doubly mad by seeing her star rise as his crashes and burns. The poverty, poor public image, and lack of loving family relationships ahead of him are exactly what he deserves.

Although if you watch Truely's birth I think Christine was far more plesent then I would've been. Kody wouldn't have had to worry about kissing Robyn because once he got to the hospital I probably would've yanked his lips and his babymaker off.
She plays the victim so well. Now that all the other ladies have discovered their worth and Robyn ultimately got what she wanted Kodi all to herself. I wonder if her plan was to benefit off the financial gain from being wife number 4. In season 17 she seems irritated with Kodi’s moods and the fact that he is at her home the majority of the time..they truly are a match made in celestial bliss..
She's also really good at validating Kody's victim complex and allows him to take those feelings out on other people. Sometimes I wonder if Kody is aware of the manipulation and just choose to ignore it. In one of the episodes this past season the very second Kody started to lash out she butted in to tell him,"Well,Kody you've been through a lot." and I think that's where she succeded to use his bruised ego to her advantage. The only problem was Janelle wasn't buying at she was selling. That's where the whole,"I'm so sick of councilor Robyn." thing came from and I think Robyn thinkis if she can manpulate Kody she might be able to do that with the other women. Honestly,I think Meri was just afraid to cross Kody and felt she'd been punished enough. Plus, with Christine leaving Kody might focus on Janelle but he also could lash out at Meri. (I think that and the allegations that are out now could derail Robyn and Kody's gravey train.) When she talked about how Kody was lining up all women and angry because Christine left but as I tell women who do what Robyn does,"Crying only works on men,dear." You could see in that moment Janelle was done. She had seen enough. She knew exactly what Robyn was doing and basically ignored her. She instead focused on Kody and continued her conversation with him. I honestly think the one thing Robyn has yet to learn is Janelle does not give a damn what she does. She can cry,play the victim and sic Kody on her all Robyn wants and it's not going to get her,her way. Unless her goal was to kick the rest of the wives to the curb and be stuck dealing with Kody til she decides to leave him too.
Robin never wanted Kody full time she just likes rubbing it in the other wives face that she had it ie between her 🦵🏼 like that but in the end she over played her hand her and Kody never ever through for a second that their little chain of fools would break free Christine lead the Charge and the rest followed Too #with that TLC money 😂
I think because the three where married for so long, they all had a type of innocence to them and Robin came in and manipulated that innocence.

Robyn never understood that it was her responsibility (to work on herself) to merge with the existing family and their values. She did not allow herself or her children to merge with the existing family either.

Robyn lived in a monogamous relationship for 9 years, so even though she said she wanted to live polygamy I never felt she knew what it was or how to do it. Her rotation in the schedule should have been every 4 days but she even finessed herself extra under the guise of the 'tender age' children can't be away from Kody for more than a couple days. She wanted the best of both worlds.

It took me years to see Robyn for what she was, but now I can easily watch old episodes and see every red flag in the book, including where she probably started gathering information from the other wives and then using it to manipulate Kody against them.

You always bring out stuff I never thought of. The wives were taught in their cult that they must comply and be obedient to Kody. So for them to even question Kody about his belief that Robyn was God approved for Kody was a huge step. But there was no stopping him. I think he would have given up all 3 wives to have Robyn.

Once again James you've nailed it. I don't see Robyn as being that fragile. I honestly think she's figured out how to play Kody like a fiddle. Every single time Robyn has done something to wrong one of the other wives the other wife cannot even say,"Hey,wait. You did x,y and z." because Robyn has learned how to get Kody to jump to her defense. He talks about how Robyn came into the family,hat in hand and never hurt anyone. Truthfully? If Robyn had gone in with no intension of hurting anyone first and foremost she would've told Kody and Meri,'Before this gets too serious I want to meet Christine and Janelle because they are part of this too and I want their approval." She was fine with Meri and Kody keeping her their dity,little secret. Second,if she truely cared about Christine's feelings when Kody popped the question she wouldn't have sealed that engagment with a kiss. She would've been more respectful of the women and it would've been a case of,"We're not going to kiss til after we're married." but she didn't do that either and then you're coming up to it and that's the episode with the wedding dress. If you thought Christine was angry about that kiss wait til you see her reaction to the wedding dress. Robyn had those women picking out dresses for hours and she picked none of them but went back with Kody and HE picked her dress. (I believe that these are the reason Robyn lost Christine.) Janelle was responsible for the bills and making sure the money stretched as far as it could. Robyn came in with a mountain of debt,no meaningful way to pay it off and three kids. Janelle had to stretch that money to pay for herself,Kody,her six kids,Christine,her six kids,Meri,her kid,Meri's schooling,and then toss in Robyn and her three. I believe that Janelle thought that Robyn would at least get a part time job to help but she never,ever did. To me there's a certain level of absurdity to this idea that Robyn came in,hat in hand and never hurt anyone. She hurt Christine's feelings,she made Janelle miserable by simply not being considerate enough to not expect this elaborate wedding,a huge reception and a honeymoon,and she basically used Meri's bad relationship with Janelle and Christine plus Meri's struggles with the kids and Kody to drive a bigger wedge between them. Robyn knew exactly what she was doing. She's basically that one friend you have that messes up and says,"I'm sorry if you're hurt." but she's not really sorry. Like I always tell my one friend who makes really rude jokes and then says,"Oh,but I was just kidding.","B!tch,please! If you were just kidding we'd both be laughing."
Yes and it may have been better by the time she came around, but McKelti said they sometimes had only day old bread and maybe one hotdog each for dinner. They were already stretched thin. I’m sure it improved with the TLC money but that would have been very stressful for Janelle

You know Meri wasn't going to let her kid do it,Aspyn was helping Christine with Truely and her younger siblings,I doubt seriously that Janelle would've offered up Maddie,and that left Mykelti to go be childcare for Robyn. I actually think that's why Mykelti has a good relationship with her dad and Robyn because she was there. She got attention from her dad by default because if she hadn't been there she wouldn't have seen Kody at all.

I was stunned when I heard some of this stuff that Robyn pulled and honestly I was s.a.'ed by someone I trusted and loved and I thought cared about me when I was 14 so i find Robyn's behaivor totally insulting. In fairness I didn't even realize that,that's what happened to me until a few years ago when the shutdown,from Covid,happened and I started having panic attacks. I decided I needed to speak to a mental health professional because I had been through a lot. I had Covid, I had been work furloughed,my ex boyfriend verbally abused me,broke up with me,and my dog died. As we were disecting my past relationships he brought up s.a. and asked me if I had ever felt like I had been s.a.'ed and I told him that I didn't know. As I told him the story about the first person I ever really loved and how he locked me in a room with him and told me I couldn't leave til I "showed him how much I loved him" my doctor said,"Dawn,that is s.a.." She started seeing a guy who really liked her sister,she did the deed,got pregnant and married the guy. She wrecked his life and took his children away. She made herself sound like such an angel when in truth if you listen to what Katie said and all the things that James brought up you can really see that Robyn is pretty evil.
Completely agree, she's been crying to get her way since childhood, a big clue to that is the whole stealing her ex husband from her sister thing. Apparently her own mother even warned her ex husband to not get with Robyn. It would seem her family wasn't in support of Robyn dating her sister's suitor but they got on board with it, this had to have taken a great deal of manipulation to accomplish her goal and get everyone's support. Sob and Kod were DEFINITELY sleeping together before marriage, she didn't make her ex husband wait so why make Kody. Kody was in lust with her since day 1 so she didn't need to "hold out" to get Kody hooked. I don't know if most of us missed her manipulative narcissism for a long time because it was a slightly less evolved time, if we were younger and just didn't pay attention or what but it's kinda gross that most of us missed her crap when it was obvious from season 1, episode 1. In my case I might have missed it because I hadn't went to college and studied psychology yet but it's kind of upsetting because we supported this show and allowed this to go on, by watching we supported their lifestyle. Sobyn has seemed to be lazy since the start of the show and nothing has changed, I bet that's why she's put on weight, her laziness and paranoia of the outside world. Her financial abuse of the other wives and kids was terrible but at least the other wives didn't lose what Meri did. Whether Meri is likeable or not that poor women gave up her marriage, her financial future and her child's inheritance for Sobyn. The timing was HIGHLY suspicious too (if I'm remembering correctly), Sobyn told Meri right after she had Sol (fall 2011) that she would be a "surrogate" for Meri and Kody to have another baby, this "selfless" act by Sobyn. Shortly after, Meri agrees to divorce Kody, another "selfless" act. Meri could have done this as a way of "one upping" Sobyn's selfless act for her but I think it's more likely Meri felt touched and so gracious that Robyn was willing to do this for her that she felt like she had to "repay" the kindness. After the divorce Sobyn tells Meri to "get over it, I'm sick of hearing about it" it seems their relationship changed quickly after the divorce when Meri was no longer needed by Sob. That alone tells you everything you need to know about Sobyn.
Robyn got pregnant with Dayton. That's why her family jumped on board.

Some are saying that Sobyn's stepdad (who raised her) wasn't a polygamist, her mom was her stepdad's mistress. He led a double life, he had his mistress he supported in one state and his wife and biological children in another state, it was an affair not a religious conviction. If that's true, it explains a lot about Sobyn's mind and thought process. It would explain why she's so transactional, why she uses sex to manipulate men, why she's always at Victoria's Secret, why she treats men like her "best customer" and would explain why her mom would make comments like "get your scent out there" which is absolutely disgusting.
Really enjoying seeing the past family through the James lens of reality. One caveat though, crying doesn't indicate weakness and emotional instability/depression (that can make people cry) doesn't mean weakness. Robyn wouldn't be weak if she sincerely cried at the drop of the hat, she would just need therapy, and we all do at some point.
That said, I have to laugh at myself that I thought it was sincere for so many years. "Oh, she just feels a lot!" Ha, no. I love that you point out what triggers the "crying", it makes it much easier to spot it as a manipulation tactic.
Crying is healthy and therapeutic, but her tears were always way off.

You are right on the money about Robyn being more worldly than the other wives and Kody. She has had to hustle. The sister wives have not. Janelle was married but she had to have him concert before they even started dating. So she was sheltered too.
I don't nessicarily think Robyn is worldly. Robyn knows how to play on a man's desire to be needed. She knows how to look pretty and not ugly cry. That waving her hands thing and the fake sobbing is not an accident. It's designed into manipulating men. She's been doing it since she was young. Heck,her first husband wasn't even really interested in her but instead had a crush on her sister and how did Robyn handle that? She pushed in,got pregnant and married the guy. Gotta hand it to the chick. When it comes to manipulating men Robyn's convincing. She convinced her ex to do the mattress macaraina with her,got pregnant and wound up being a housewife even after she drove them into the poor house and she convinced Kody to desimate his three previous relationships with women he clearly loved at the beginning of the show and effectively disown his kids that aren't hers.

At the point that Robyn joined the family I honestly think Christine deserved even more of Kody's time then even Janelle and Meri. She had,had a miscarriage,she had five children,she was pregnant and she needed her husband by her side and where was Kody? Sucking face with Robyn. @Helix Moore Yes I am aware he didn't stop it, but if what Robin's saying in the earlier seasons, that she didn't want to start problems, then it never should have even been a subject/topic to be decided on in the first place. The fact that he didn't stop thought let alone the action the minute Robin brought it up he should have squashed it and told her never brought up again, instead they end up doing just what Robin wanted, he never should have agreed, especially with a pregnancy at home. Yes, he is just as guilty, but as I said from the very beginning even b4 her marriage Robin was testing the waters and seeing Just how far she could push/manipulate/lie and cheat and steal.... Yet she fake Crys a river because Christine is so upset and she is the one who upset her so she has to cry and say I'm so upset that I upset you, then she says you have no idea how bad I feel it's breaking my heart that I hurt you I didn't want to hurt you...boohoo boohoo.... She always takes someone's spot when they are upset by pretending to cry and saying she has that too or I went there too or I bought that too. It's always me too me too me me too.....
I think she hurt Christine as much as she possibly could on purpose so she could turn it around on Christine and look at what she is doing and how she talks about her sister wives she claims to love the body shaming the bold face lies she not a good person

Yes,Kody could make his own choices but in both instances he was probably manipulated and just wanted to spend more time with Robyn.
Robyn had Kody in her cross hairs before she was even divorced. She smelled money and followed her nose right to his doorstep. Meri likes to think she found Robyn but that’s not the case. In their book Kody said they had to postpone their wedding because of filming but in reality her divorce wasn’t finalized yet, that means her and Kody were committing adultery at the time.
In the very first episode she sort of established that. That little line about Kody being her soulmate because he made some list she made shows that. She made that list two full years before her ex-husband filed for divorce. If you're with someone and you love them why would you need another man to meet the requirments on that list? You're married. Nobody's perfect but being that he might've met some of her requirements why was she making a list and saying that Kody checked all the boxes?
Robyn left her Husband, took the kids and went looking to meet the Browns once she heard about the Show. She knew the Endgame was to be a wife, position herself and her kids as the favorites and eventually got Meri to divorce Kody so she could be the legal wife. Robyn destroyed her own family and then the Browns. She is only looking after herself.
She wrecked that man's life before and after she left too. I mean once she met and married Kody there was no reason to treat her ex so badly other then to paint a sob story and make everyone feel sorry for her. She made him sound like he committed dv,s.a.'ed her,she took his money,and then his children. She could've just said,"We were so unhappy but he's an okay guy and he loves the kids." but nope. She turned him into a monster just because she wanted sympathy.

Robyn has generously passed the act of using crocodile [dry] tears on to her daughters. They are constantly "afraid", thin skinned, and entitled. The daughters are at least shedding tears. Robyn's tears are like a breeze on the Sahara desert.
Kody referred to Robyn as his 'girlfriend; as he made out with her prior to heading out to the hospital while Christine was in labor.
Robyn has brought out the very worst in Kody, and Kody enables Robyn's poor behavior.
The wives couldn't really resist Robyn because Kody & Meri brought in Robyn behind their backs as their special "secret".
They've learned to be manipulative and snotty from their mom and that's why it was so easy for them to mock Savannah at the 5th wheel. "Oh,is that the dogs room?" or "Is that a footbath?" She also passed something else to them though. Anxiety and that's where they are going to have to learn to be really careful because people will try,if you have anxiety, to take advantage of you. One of Robyn's daughter either literally or plays paralyzed when she has anxiety and that can get scary. Especially if you're not playing and you attempt to manipulate the wrong person.
I just made a TikTok on this...About Robyn, didn't want to move into the house. Knowing her personality now, when she doesn't want to do something she starts shaking her head no before even speaking/while the other person is talking. She just didn't want her kids around their kids. Love your videos btw!!

She should have left while in her early 40s. The other 2 had so many childre... 6 each...and one with a newborn. They were pretty much stuck....most men are not going to want to date someone with 6 children and many young or newborn. I blame Robyn more than even Kody. As a woman myself....always feel women should watch out for each other. She was too young to enter an established family....with older women.

Let's be honest. There's only one way that Robin can manipulate Kody. Her personality is boring and wimpy. It has always been her language. She came with a Victoria Secret debt, so the other wives must have known. Kody behaved like a teenager & wasn't man enough to take care of his family. It's actually a bit difficult to see Kody's behavior the first season. Apparently the wives and children should just put up with Kody beeing in love. Toxic dynamic.
Robyn strikes me as the type of person that if you tell her something she's going to find a way to use it against you. In the last Tell-All Kody described Meri,Janelle and Christine sh!t talking him and that Robyn never had. She said the other wives gave him to her because they didn't want him and he felt like he was being ignored. I suspect Robyn heard that and decided to give Kody what he wanted. An obeident,submissive wife who would do what he wanted and she sides with him 99% of the time. With all the ego boosting and Kody's trips into the manosphere is it any wonder that he thinks the way he does? She's lead him to believe his former wives don't see him as a leader,she's convinced him that he never loved them,and that 13 of his 18 kids are in the wrong because they see him treating thier moms like trash.

She had Kody manipulated from the very beginning, She was so amazing how Robin could and did twist other's hurts around and make them feel like their feelings were wrong. I wonder if Robin had never come all would they still be together. I don't think he was always the best husband but i believe he was still a loving dad . That kiss to seal their engagement was a gross hurtful moment. If Kody did not do that with the other wives, then he knew it was wrong! All the wives praised him about his skills when they gave birth and then Christtine is in labor , he is on a date! How did Kody ever resolve these in his own mind and feel good about it?
Even to the most villainous mind, they are the heroes of their own story. I think Kody feels justified in everything he does. He will nit pick or create a reason why the other wives "deserve" his behavior.

It was so hard to not realize it and feel sorry for Christine at that point. The miscarriage. The lack of love. The lack of attention from Kody. Robyn is vile for simply ignoring the facts and not telling Kody,"We can wait. You need to be there for Christine right now." I honestly think that he might've been able to salvage things with Christine had he simply gone to Ysabelle's surgery or if not at least be on better terms with her!

It doesn’t take a mental health diagnosis to know what a person like Robyn is. She is emotionally manipulative, and she lives in a hall of mirrors, all of them reflecting Robyn back to Robyn. She’s the most interesting person she knows, just as Kody is a legend in his own mind.
They will not be able to occupy the same space for long, unless they bring in other wives to keep the show going, and choose women who have money, or can make enough money, to support them. And who will obey Kody.
Robyn does not want to be on her own with Kody. The other wives enabled the two of them, and I don’t think they knew to expect their behavior. Most of us don’t look for deception, because we don’t lie. Except for things like, “Oh, sweetie, that haircut is so. . .cute.”

I think out of nessesity Christine and Janelle got to be pals because of the kids and through Meri's mistreatment of Janelle,Christine and hte kids she pushed herself out of possibly having that and when she looked at Robyn she thought,"If I can get this really pretty,younger woman to Kody and he falls for her it'll give me an advantage." What she didn't realize is what someone will do with you they will do to you and she used the alienation and hate to destroy Meri and make her terrible to Kody.

I think she is well aware. She seems to position herself to well for it to be a happy coincidence.
I was wondering this too. Some narcissistic people are unaware (but still act the same as someone who is intentionally manipulating others). I don’t know how aware Robyn is. And that would explain how it seems like she genuinely thinks she’s the victim. She doesn’t realize what she’s doing to the other wives (not saying that makes it ok) and so to her it genuinely looks like “hey I’ve been open and I’ve tried and they just never accepted me”

I know this is a year and a half old but Robin knew about the show before she even met the browns. And Christine had only ever had one miscarriage. It was a high risk pregnancy due to it being a geriatric pregnancy (any pregnancy over 35 is considered geriatric) but it wasn’t just a regular miscarriage she was bleeding so much that she lost consciousness …. This is a perfect example of why miscarriages and even the first day or 2 after giving birth can be so dangerous cause you’re bleeding …. You lose a baby you’re bleeding, postnatal you’re bleeding …. And you basically expect it to be more than a heavy period but because of the that a lot of women wait to get help because they just assume this amount of bleeding is normal and you’d be surprised at how many women go to get help too late and end up passing away from it. That’s why your OB will constantly be checking you or at least having the postpartum nurses checking on you and paying attention to how you’re feeling how you look physically you’re vitals etc because starting to hemorrhage and bleeding out… there’s a very fine line between them. Ans that’s not just something that happens in 3rd world countries or places that people don’t have access to adequate healthcare …. This happens too often even here! In the US!
Anyway, my other point is that Christine could have been 27 and never had a miscarriage and been having a perfectly health low risk pregnancy…. Kody up and leaving and driving 5 hours to St. George and back every weekend or every other weekend would be terrible and would have made him look horrible.

I think some of Robyn's choices and actions come from a place of extreme anxiety and desperation which can be expressed as controlling behaviors. I don't think she went into this family with bad intentions, but the level of anxiety she lives at constantly makes her want to control every single situation around her, even ones not involving her. It's the only way she feels "safe."
This is an interesting take. I see some signs of this too and have always seen Kody as the narcissist instead of Robyn (although I guess they both could be). I definitely think Robyn is manipulative, but i find it hard to tell what’s motivating her.
