In this season's finale we watched as Robyn openly displayed her influence over Kody.There were more than a few instances during her conversation with Meri that Robyn attempted to manipulate and guide the conversation. After watching it, I was struck by how openly Robyn is willing to trade Kody's time, attention, and body for financial advancement.

Everybody can see this and Cody is blindsided by Robyn. With Robyn in charge everything will be hers and there is no equality of any assets. This is sad and when Cody realizes what’s is really going on it’s too late and he’s at the cleaners with holes in the pockets and no money at all because Robyn doesn’t believe in saving money for tomorrow when things are tight
Robyn had Cody make secret promises and conditions before the spiritual wedding and the legal marriage. And that was to live as a monogamous in a plural arrangement so that no one will know exactly what is going on. That’s the reason why Robyn was separated from the family the whole time. And the hurtful statement he made to the public (Meri just watched the episode of how bad Cody was talking about Meri). What a punch in the stomach and hurt of the heart and Meri trust
I’m glad she’s left but now is time to get a lawyer and a surveyor and divvy up the land equally they’re trying to cheat these women out of everything including the land the money they spent on it, and I fully believe that she needs to get a lawyer she needs to give them a 30 day invoice of what is owed to her from the house, the land, everything right down to the electricity and the water bill give them 30 days to pay or repossess the house. You could put a lien on that house she could do it because she was the first wife, and it could be in that so-called divorce settlement that they pay back all monies owed to her as part of her alimony, so I put the screw this guy quickly because if she doesn’t Robin will and I like the way that Cody spilled the beans in front of Mary of the secret promises not all of them but some of them that he made Robin she knew then what shoes her feet were in. She really would have. Meri had her faults, but she looked at the big picture and sincerely cared about the well-being of the family as a whole.
Remember when they had the discussion about the divorce and Janelle was very uncomfortable. She said it would change the dynamic. She knew Robyn couldn't be trusted in the head wife position.

The financial manipulation from Kody and Robyn towards the other women is unreal. One thing I noticed is that when Meri was the head wife, she really did look out for those other women and the children financially. She may not have always been nice to them, but she was “for them” financially. Janelle was in charge of a lot of the money and helped her. That’s probably one reason Janelle was so hesitant -or didn’t like Kody divorcing Meri and making Robyn the legal wife.
Janelle even said that, in not so many words but she said with meri being the legal wife she knew that her and her kids would be okay if something happened to kody.

I honestly think Janelle was just as absolve to Meri in the beginning. Perhaps not intentionally, but I can see Kodi saying behind Meri’s back private things or telling Meri that Jenelle thought it was sad that she had to give Kodi his first child. I can see many ways Kodi could have manipulated and played the women off each other without them realizing it. Christine was also always up front that she always wanted to be the youngest, newest wife. I can see a young, immature Christine flaunting her status over Meri. It was just a toxic situation all around, but Meri never exerted financial coercive control over the other women and she could have. She also financially supported all the children, even though 99% of the children weren’t hers. Christine could not have supported her children without Meri’s contribution. Just my opinion, but I think Meri took the rap for years for Kodi’s bad behavior.

My two cents is that she also built plausible deniability into the marriage - if she has a clause to get out then she wouldn't have been trapped had Kody not been successful with the show.
@deeb8558 I think Kody and Robyn both pulled a "golly shucks we're just sad souls who want to fall in love" and fell in love with each other's pity stories. Robyn was in a broken marriage, carrying debt, and Kody got to be her rescuer/savior, Kody probably portrayed himself as a strong polygamist husband and father but he doesn't feel that "fire" of marriage, so Robyn gets to feel like the "special" wife that exalts him. Sometimes affairs feel "exciting" because of the idea that you're doing something forbidden - now that the OG3 are gone they can't pretend to be naughty on camera they're just a middle aged dude and his younger, pushy "trophy".

At the very least someone needs to look into how Robin used her oldest son's disability benefits to live on and understands that the reason she won't let him get a job after having two degrees is that she doesn't want him to lose those benefits. Probably because he is paying her lot rent for the space his camper is on.

I think it is interesting that Kody wanted off of Christine’s house and never made a single payment on Christine’s house and he got a steak in Christine’s house. I like what Janelle said, “do a forensic accounting.” The wives need an attorney. Robin didn't come into the house with her pockets turned out. That would have been a huge step UP from where she was. The hard-working wives had been paying for her broke-ass rent, continued to pay for her no-job rent in Utah, and then paid off her broke-ass-no job $34,000.00 credit card bills. The ONLY one getting anything but extorted from Robyn was Kody! The ONLY one to ever get anything from Robyn was Kody. Meri provided some money from her job, at a school, and organizational skills. Janelle provided money from her job, and a little (day-off) child care. Janelle provided child care, homeschooling, and money from her nighttime job. What did Kody do? He played with the kids once in a while, made a little money, played 'four-poster roulette' (I'm guessing, badly, because Robyn had to teach him how, then he was scared to share his new knowledge with the OG3) and was the annoying family pet.

Both Kody and Robyn have either directly or indirectly verified the arrangement they want to have with the other wives. There's no love lost! However, there is a financial loss. Kody has been jumping through hoops trying to please his lady love - when the financial loss is ultimately the problem Robyn sees. (Cue Tina Turner singing "What's Love Got to Do with It?" - LOL!!)

Yes, to the forensic accounting. Now that it is obvious that Kody did not live the OG3 amd this was all a massive rouse for monetary gain of the Diesel Jeans models family. Kody letting that little tid bit about the covenant promise made to Robyn. Those few sentences unwound the whole show and revealed his intentions.

Robyn cries that she wants the big family but blocks every opportunity to have that happen. Meri followed the rules during Covid but Robyn said no to visits. Meri wanted to invite everyone for Christmas Eve but Robin told Kody it would be scary and upset him. She didn’t want to have the other wives watch her kids and got a nanny, always keeping them separate. She stopped family traditions and get togethers and then she blames Christine, who was the ambassador of family fun and get togethers. She tells her kids they are unwanted while the other kids speak of missing her kids terribly. Now she fake cries and tries to convince us that what we all witnessed was her being fooled and victimized. It’s so manipulative. But I disagree with Robin is winning. The other women are capable and strong and losing all that Robyn took is worth being rid of K and R. They are living their best lives and thriving now.
Anyone notice that Kody talks about being so in love with Robyn, but Robyn doesn't say much about how much she is in love with Kody. Actually, she seems to threaten to leave if he doesn't live up to her expectations. Kody is really getting a dose of his own medicine.

Robyn can say she doesn’t want to be counted with Kody all she wants but they didn’t put the property into a each wife’s name, a trust, a corporation, or prenup to protect his other wives. They could have set it up so that each wife was legally protected. They by choice didn’t. Then pretend that Robyn’s legal marriage doesn’t hold weight. Honestly, that is the biggest problem with polygamy. They shouldn’t even have a legal wife and should have a trust and powers of attorneys with checks and balances all the wives should be on the board of the family trust. Everything should be written in black and write with a schedule, severance package if you want to leave and if they want to have 1 back account each wife then also needs their own account.
Everything Christine feared would happen if they had the one big house happened. The division is ridiculously unfair after all that Meri and Janelle put in money-wise. They stole those women's proceeds from their houses to enrich themselves. Turned out to be one giant real estate scam.

I noticed Robyn's ability to stay silent and control herself during that land talk as well! However, i think when she was telling him to shut up he was about to announce that he's writing certain kids (not hers of course) out of the will! Love your content and getting a man’s perspective. Absolutely, Robyn would pimp Kody out in a heartbeat if another woman came along that would support their lifestyle. Meri spent a lot of her money on Coyote Pass. In fact on the final episode, Meri led us to believe she put the majority of the money down? 2 acres is not adding up… Robyn is upset because Kody went off script and refuses to lead Meri on anymore. This scene happened over a year ago… No doubt Kody and Robyn are missing Meri’s money. I would actually like to believe that there is no way Meri would sit on the back burner for 8 to 10 years. After the ET interview with Christine and Janelle “we all know how they feel about Meri” The ladies clearly stated that Meri was loyal to a fault. Where is the lie? I don’t see a happy ending for Kody or Robyn. The fame and the finances brought them together. Lack of, will tear them apart.

The first time I don’t agree with you James, it’s about Kody being pimped out; he hasn’t been in a sexual relationship with those women since Robyn came along. They put up with his treatment because of the money they got t from the show, and remember what it was like to be hungry with nothing to feed their kids. James you are spot on as usual. But one thing that bothered me most was Meri laughing at many points, it makes her seem stupid. Maybe she’s just trying to keep them thinking she is so she can disarm them but it still got on my nerves.
I agree! It seems like a nervous coping mechanism. Like she wants to ask hard questions but knows Kody gets so angry at the littlest thing. It’s a nervous laugh to keep things light so she won’t get screamed at and punished. I bet she’s been doing that for years.
Lawyers. Land Assessments. Janelle (and Meri) should have got a ‘plan/approach’ in place first before engaging Robyn and Kody. Bring the legal wife (on paper) gives Robyn significant advantages. Meri’s conversation with Kody and Robyn was completely disadvantages to her - she didn’t appear to have her facts together, didn’t come to the ‘picnic table’ with her expectations/facts/goals etc. Meri and Janelle may have to plan together: meaning get a lawyer and a land assessment and force the sale of Coyote Pass so they (Meri/Janelle) get their investment paid out.
Also if all the jewelry, art, collectibles and whatever else was paid for by the family account it should belong to all of them.

On point, last clip🤣 I still think Meri was the most hard done by wife. She was Kody's ride or die from day one.
