The Sister Wives Tell All is off to a slow start, but they had a good amount of material for us to talk about. One of the things that annoyed me with Kody's portion was his assertion that the OG3 were burdensome because he did not love them. He later goes on to compare his relationship with the OG3 to his love affair with Robyn. In my assessment this is completely unfair. The OG3 struggled with him and helped to shape him into the man he needed to be to court Robyn. If anything, he should be grateful to them for preparing him for the love his life.

I’m convinced what we’re seeing from Robyn, what got her into this position, is exactly what she saw with her parents. Her mom having the “honeymoon” relationship with her dad for decades because she treated him the same way Robyn did Kody when they first got together. I doubt Robyn EVER saw a genuinely healthy marriage as a child.
She might have had a dad who had wo.en all around, and she was poor. She decided that no matter who she has to destroy, no matter how many kids she steps on, she is getting all she can for hers. Sick witch, wanted to be the queen, and she is. Karma is a nasty *itch, with a hammer for justice.

I don't believe Kody has any idea of what love is. He fell in 'love' with Robyn for what she did FOR him. Same for Robyn's kids. They gaze into his eyes, lovingly, and cling on his neck. It boggles my mind that when kody and robbin were re-spinning the original story they didn't see the wisdom of saying kody THOUGHT he loved the OG3 but he didn't really know what love was and didn't believe love like what he has with robbin actually existed.

Thank you for bringing up the money issue. When you're having a bunch of kids without money, it's a lot harder to be all lovey-dovey vs having a nanny and never working. Robyn said Kody was her best customer. It's not a metaphor. She treats him that way because that's how she supports her lifestyle.

Kody is upset with Christine because he's not really sure that he's made the right choice. He has his doubts about Robin's love. Christine made the choice for him by leaving to find a better life. Now, he has to deal with the potential risk that Robin might just love him less than he loved the OG3. He's terrified but has no one to confide in... not even Janelle.

I agree that Kody “got” Robyn at a much different time in his life than he “got” the OG3 & to compare the relationships from his perspective is awful. If he is being genuine that he wasn’t truly in love with the OG3 that’s horrible but finally some honesty from the man. As Robyn & Kody navigate this new chapter I wouldn’t be surprised if Kody’s tune changes about Robyn because now they have to work & she won’t have time or energy to treat him like her best customer.

I love your look at this situation. The way that Cody and Meri tricked Christine and Janelle into accepting Robyn and her kids. They did not have a say to object this addition or accept it and that was a stress point for both Jenelle and Christine but because this was already going in play, they just went along with it but they could see the writing on the wall and with Christine being pregnant with truly it was an awkward situation when she did call and say Robin do you really need all these days and Robin very selfishly said yes I need them all that’s when things started to turn. That’s when Christine really started doubting herself. When Jenelle started taking good, looks at everything and started questioning things. She was pretty much told stay out of it leave it alone and that’s a very hard thing to do being jealous is not easy it’s hard on people but now Cody is getting that feeling right now because he’s feeling jealousy rejected mainly rejected because he could not believe that Christine actually packed his crap sold that house and left that blindsided him why I don’t know he should’ve figured it out Jenelle on the other hand he figured because she’s already left the family twice before he was gonna be able to get her back into his little magic bag and keep her in but with Christine with the backbone say no you’re not going to do this you’re going to stay with me we’re gonna work this out we’re starting a whole new life Jenelle started opening up and seeing the other side of the fence where Marie the reason why Mary was hanging on so long was because Cody kept telling her in private and work it out. You do this for me and I’ll work it out with you you do this for me and I’ll work it out for you and each time he did that it was just a carrot on a string in front of her and it wasn’t right, but it wasn’t until she saw that one on one where he said what he did to everybody in the universe those words he never told her in private that’s when she realized that through their religion, that special covenant of eternal marriage was broken and that’s what she was waiting for for him to break it so she didn’t have to do it already sacrificed her legal marriage for him and he wasn’t grateful enough for that. He didn’t spiritually marry her again. He just left her hanging in the wind. Now for Robin she’s playing this game. She knows how to do it. She’s done it while she’s out. Her other victim is in Montana dealing with cancer. She will not have any problem throwing Cody under the bus and taking him for every nickel dime, quarter penny and properties, watches, paintings, you name it she will take him for everything she’s a master at it. She’s been doing it for years.

Robyn and Kody are both grifters. The other 3 were not. They were providers. Now that the providers and producers in the family are gone, what they have is two grifters who have no one to coerce money from in order to live. Agree with James. Robyn’s devotion only lasts as long as there is money to be had. Once it’s gone, Kody will see his supposed soulmate walk right out the door, taking whatever crumbs he has left along with her.

Oh good one!! Many great points here. I remember a clip of Robyn saying “she thanks the other woman because they made Kody this amazing man he is for her to marry”. So yes without them other woman she wouldn’t have had this married man for her to sex-up! So yes when Robyn came in these other woman where busy raising their family’s & she came in with a nanny who raised her kids, so she had more time to role play for Kody.

It would also be worth something if she was a stay at home mom because sham’s do a lot of work. I don’t even see her doing that. She’s got a nanny. Robin is living a large and lavish lifestyle. Not contributing anything. I hope she sees the error of her ways and repents of her choices. I’m seeing more and more how manipulative she is.

There's no reason for Robyn to stay with Kody once they are off the show. IMO she was never into his "humanity".
actually i kinda experienced this after two divorces. my first husband i thought i loved him it didnt last he started cheating and i walked. my second husband he loved me we dated in high school and we worked best friendship still today friends but i met the love of my life while i was married to him and told him before any cheating would happen cause i knew something would happen i didnt want to be that person. here is where kody went wrong saying you never loved someone because you finally feel a deeper love is wrong in that moment you loved them with the capacity you had in that moment for love. he needs to just accept he loved them as much as he was able to until he experienced deeper love. validate them and move on. other wise he is going to alienate his kids more when they hear their mothers were never loved. you cant rewrite history they seemed happy for the most part until robyn married him.
Yes exactly, I think that's the best way anybody is explained it so far is that he loved them as he was able at that time, and then he met Robin and fell deeper in love with her but he kept playing them and stringing them along and keeping their money and that's what makes him a bad person common not that he fell in love with Robin so to speak. And I know I didn't spell Robin correctly
I also think things were a lot easier for them at the time due to a lot of factors
I don’t think Robyn ever wanted to be a polygamist. I think Kody knew that from the gate. They both knew what they were doing. They both goasted the Og3 and their children. They had a plan since the day they were officially married. They systematically gutted that family piece by piece.
