This season's Sister Wives is certainly slow going. Week after week, it feels like we are retreading the same material. Unfortunately, each week we have seen examples of how Kody's immense immaturity and lack of accountability for his decisions has not only destroyed his marriages but threaten to damage his children's lives as well.

Robyn does NOT want the OG kids at her house, period. Kody says he wants them at his and Robyns' house at holidays but they make so many stupid rules that the kids cannot manage that. Garrison offered a place where EVERYBODY could be comfortable, but Kodys giant EGO and Robyns RESENTMENT of the OG kids makes that impossible.
Yeah they should ALL go 0ver there to visit at the same time. Lol. Put Kody and Robyn on the spot. I would love to see that.
I honestly have to wonder if he is so desperate to get those boys over at his house, is because he WANTS to start something with them so that he can make a big production of kicking them out. As a way of both humiliating them, and to serve as a lesson to any of the others that this is what happens when you cross Kody Brown.

Nah he didn’t want them there. I think most of them are over it. He’ll get nominal invites to grandkids events, graduations, weddings etc and set in the corner cuz he’s not involved. Maybe he won’t care.

the argument that polygamy goes back thousands of years so it's normal has a problem: thousands of years ago, if a man didnt provide for his family, if he didnt go out and bring home the venison, his offspring starved to death. If he didn't hang around and protect his children, tigers and wolves ate them. If he didn't haul in firewood, they froze to death.
If a man didn't help feed, shelter and protect his offspring, his descendants didn't survive. It's much easier now, the taxpayers provide those services
The thing I think that will bother Kody the most is that Christine’s husband, David is pretty affluent. He’s already taking truly and ysabell on nice vacations. I think it will eat him alive.

Now we’re learning that Garrison invited the family over to his house for a Christmas get together. Kody said previously that Gabe and Garrison blocked him and had not contacted him. Kody’s lies are getting mixed up. Now we know his kids ARE reaching out. Kody is the one rejecting them.
I think Garrison meant for the next holiday. To be clear, I’m not defending Kody.

When you compare the things that come out of Kody's mouth to his sons (Logan as young as 15 or so, Garrison, Hunter, etc.) they passed him up years ago. Kody truly suffers from some type of arrested development. I don't know what caused it but I would say his emotional growth plateaued at around the age of 12 or 13. That is why his sons had to mature early. Nature abhors a vacuum, and those boys naturally filled the manhood void as a way of making up for their father's shortcomings. Our little boy may have finally grown in the area of realizing that monogamy is easier than polygamy, but he is still light years away from having any idea how to handle this transition in a way that spares the emotional well being of his other wives and kids. He plays these mind games instead of simply being honest, thus becoming cruel, degrading, and verbally abusive.. In this regard, Kody Brown is still infantile. And Janelle isn't getting the short end of the stick. She's getting the short end of a wet pencil. Double entendre intended.✏😘

This is true, my mom is an extreme narcissist. You know the saying, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, well that was my life, my earliest memories are her telling me that I was a mistake, she did not want another child, this is why I dislike Robyn and her purity speech, I learned early on how to self sooth, cook and clean, wash my own clothes by 3rd grade, I never got help with homework, my mom to this day doesn't deny not being there but also will never say it was on her, my dad worked two jobs and when he wasn't at work was doing the things that needed to be worked on at home. It is like James said anyone can make babies but being a parent takes work, something many people can not do.

The Brown family took a trip to Hawaii and their host of the rental property prepared a beautiful luau for the entire family for their last night.
Kody acted like a child because there was pork & poi on the menu. (He has religious dietary restrictions) He literally told everyone he wasn’t gonna” eat anything and that they could “piss off” because they didn’t ask him if he even wanted a luau.
Logan was excited to eat pork because it’s been so long. Kody was brooding & pretending to play with Legos with his head down when Logan then asked his dad “so you seriously can’t go to the luau and just eat something else besides pork?”
It was disgusting to watch.
Where was this shown?
Bravo to Logan for taking the high road. You can't tell me a luau wouldn't have fruit or potatoes or rice as a pork replacement. Kody looked like he was regressing at that moment - we've seen teenagers look up more from their phones with their families!

He is so seemingly narcissistic. I am not even sure how he found one wife let alone four. It’s so unattractive to see a man, not a want to parent his own children. Why, because he himself has yet to grow up.

@@laneneal3510 That's very true. Both Meri and Christine were raised in plural marriage, so they probably thought lack of attention from a father was normal. And Janelle's father was gone from the time she was very young. And Robyn only saw her dad on occasion. So none of these women had any clue of what it's like to have a father present to help you raise your kids.
I'm floored at how Kody breaks his own rules for Robyn. He had firm rules for the other wives, while their kids were small. He nearly, never let the needs of one home, infringe upon the needs of the home he was scheduled to be in.
Janelle summed it up perfectly. He’s not pining for his broken family. He only cares that it makes him look bad and hurts his ego that his big family isn’t in tact.
Trying to be there for all 18 kids and 4 wives is absolutely impossible. He’s 100% ready to write off all except Robyn and her kids. It’s too exhausting.
So unless they’re cool to come with a giant truckload of “food” for his ego, and be happy with hardly any scraps, then the cost-benefit ratio isn’t worth it to him.
I think he does NOT want it fixed, because he feels he’s missing precious time where he wants to spend it, on these obligations if they fix it. He wants them gone and for it to be THEIR fault. He’s clinging to it for dear life.
Really is terribly sad for those left without a real husband or father.

In competition with his sons. It makes so much sense. It can explain the body building, the supplements, dying his hair blond, not wanting to see Garrison' house, etc.
I don't doubt that Kody is jealous of Garrison, but I suspect that it's more that Kody makes all the rules at his house and all the others have to comply. If one of the adult children brought up a subject that Kody didn't like, he could shut them down or throw them out. It's about power and control because Kody doesn't want to face the reality of the giant mess he's made.
But instead of being proud of his son he is jealous, it makes sense.

I think it also makes Kody salty that Garrison got the house he kept talking about, and Kody can't take any credit for that. If it was up to him, Garrison woulda been forced out years ago and would have struggled to get here. It's because Janelle refused to kick him out during a pandemic that he was able to reach his goal. So I'm sure it irks kody that Janelle was right. Everyone is still alive AND she supported Garrison in making his dreams come true.
Yes! You are sooo correct about Kody’s emotional immaturity. It’s so sad. He’s got some deep, unresolved issues that prevent him from approaching marriage, work, relationships, and parenthood in an adult way.
The women’s sheltered upbringings prevented them from identifying the red flags that should have given them serious pause about the man child. Big talker, underachiever, all show, no substance. Robyn is actually a grifter. She’s successful in this way, but Kody is a means to an end. She doesn’t really care for him aside from what she can get out of the relationship. She’s the “love of his life” but he’s just not that for her. Without the $$$, she will kick him to the curb when she can do better without him.
You are right on the money in regards to Robin. Everything that she has done has been to maximize her profit from the relationship.

The kids were used to sharing with Christine and Janelle's fridges. Knowing Robyn probably refused to fix them a meal! Kids are always hungry!
My second husband and I went to a counselor ( conservative Christian on the advice of a close friend)and he recommended that my husband walk away instead of arguing with me. Well, this worked great for my husband, he never had to hear my point of view or how his actions affected me. He could continue to view ME, as the problem. We had the same problem as Sister Wives. My husband lived as a single man, even though he was married. He did whatever he wanted, he went wherever he wanted, and he SPENT whatever he wanted. I was helping him pay off debts from prior to our relationship, same as husband #1, and he refused to even ‘discuss’ accountability or consideration. Needless to say we divorced.
You went to a HORRIBLE counselor! My ex husband and I also did counseling with a Christian and that was not the advice given. He was already doing it hence why we were there. Our counselor told him he needed to listen and hear me and together improve our relationship. He's my ex because he was a serial cheater. He was in love with falling in love. The counselor eventually told me to run. I was also told this was the FIRST time the counselor had given anyone that advice. Counselor said he was incapable of actual love

James ive said it before any man can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a daddy. I taught my sons that very same statement to them many times during their life. And when they became young men i told them. You have to respect every woman, i don't care how many of you buddies talk about her,you do not. Because those buddies are just what they are saying this girl or woman is. And if they were old enough to go out there and make a baby, you're old enough to take care of it. I will not make you marry the woman, but I will see that you take responsibility for that baby. In high school they had job's and knew they would have to give up their money to support the baby. That makes an impact on their lifes. Both are grown and married and each has children and they are great providers. And they are great dads.

I heard his income is only $90,000 per season, that's no where near "fine art" money. I can't imagine how cringy it would be to be a guest in Ko-Ro's home, Robs would be showing off her Rolex and doll collection while saying "I feel like I'm on MTV Cribs hehe" and Kody would be showing off and bragging about every single thing he owns, his ridiculous "fine art" and used Lexus *eye roll*. It is tough. My mom was like that. If I got to do something she did not get to do as a kid, I would hear about it for a month. Really annoying.

When ever Kody says "Robyn didn't ask me to do it, or say it" that's really means "Robyn EXPECTED ME TO DO IT!!" Before Robyn came into the picture the family was much more balanced. Robyn explained to Kody, right off the bat that he WILL BE THERE!!! And Kody said ok. There is so much damage that Robyn has done. I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned the part in episode 10 when Christine wanted to have a family Reunion so all of the kids could get together. Mary was in, Janelle was in, but when they got to Robyn she was against it, she needed to reolve the Christmas problem with the kids before she could be with them on a family level, and because Robyn had a problem attending a "family reunion" Kody had a problem attending a "family reunion". EVERY TIME THERE IS AN OPPERTUNITY FOR THE FAMILY TO GET TOGETHER, ROBYN HAS TO PUT A STOP TO IT. ROBYN IS THE PROBLEM PERIOD!!! Kody has allowed Robyn to devide and conquer this family, plain and simple. I know you try to be funny, but splitting up a family isn't funny. There is nothing funny aboit what's happened to the kids, I'm not laughing.
In the AUB, young men are often "kicked out" because they're competition to older men who want a sixth wife or whatever. So, even if Top Ramen tracks that or not, his religion practices this cruelty and he's conscious of that. If "boys" aren't compliant, "kick them out." It's horrible.
They are kicked out from ages 12-18 or sent somewhere to work for miniscule wages.
I can barely stomach Kody... I already fast forward when he's talking so I think I'm about done with the show. He literally turns my stomach. This is my last season if I can make it through the whole thing.

A comment made by Maddie's husband always summed up Kody for me. It was Maddy and Logan with their spouses reminiscing when they met Kody. Maddie's husband said he was not intimidated by him when he first met, because Kody was like a big kid. My sister had a 6'2 totally buffed boyfriend who was intimidated by my 5'5 father we used to laugh. My father was a very loving and kind man but he didn't play when it came to his kids.

In theory, if Kody had spent his time equitably…25% with each wife…he probably could have made this work. Years of indoctrination make 25% good enough for these poor women. My father is just like that also. I didn't realize just how bad he was until my mom was dying of cancer. She told me not to feel like I have to have a relationship with him, and to never be surprised by anything he does. The man is like a 14 yr old complete with tantrums, and my then 15 yr old daughter pointed out (privately) that I use my preschool teacher voice when I speak to him, but its necessary! We've since gone no-contact with him.

I don’t know what idiot thinks all strong men have more than 1 woman. My Dad loved my Mom and was happily married for 64 years, till they died one month apart. They were also great parents and grandparents. Dad never wanted anyone else. My husband is the same.

You know "Robyn's OFFICE"? The kids have SAID Kody and Robyn are holed up in the bedroom ALL DAY and no one is allowed to even knock on the DOOR! That's why the older kids or the nanny have to watch the little kids! I think that 'office' is a lie. There might be one, but nobody is in it.

If you want respect you need to give respect. Kody made choices and those choices have consequences. It’s too many people. There is no incentive for a man to separate finally with any of them and we have been dragged along because he has been allowed to move from bed to bed cause when he turned 20 his own father decided it was okay to commit adultery and fornicate at will. He thought would be fun. After growing up choosing the right and keep thoughts pure he found he could have a harem. Then at some point he liked the new model so he spent all his time on his new wife and new kids. He chained other women, getting the other women to encourage the staying remember Meri telling Christine to look at the mountains and Christine saying to Meri are you coming with us to AZ or you leaving us for Utah. Not cause he liked them. Cause his favorite wants to identify as polygamist. Why? Why does Robyn want to identify as polygamist when she isn’t?
Kody has never been able to protect and provide as the head of his family. His dad didn't attend his 3rd or 4th weddings because he didnt think Kody deserved more wives. Him and Mari had to live with Janelle when they were first married. He needed all wives to work or collect assistance for the house to run. Even now there is no show without the other women and their children.

Janelle said her & Kody's relationship was ok. My question is......what about the kids??? Kody was not at her home long enough to spend time with there kids. What kind of mom is ok with that?? What kind of mom sits back & allows Savannah's dad to ignore there child/children at Christmas.???? I would have jumped dead in his butt. I realize Christine filled that void but why was Janelle ok with scraps for her kids?
