- Knowing how TLC's Sister Wives marriages ended, I thought it would be a good time to take a look back to the beginning to see what went so horribly wrong. I have not seen these episodes before so I thought it might be interesting to give my impressions of the events that lead to Christine, Meri, and Janelle's departure from the Brown family. There is something odd about the Robyn & Kody origin story. There are several points and lucky coincidences that just don't make sense. Here's my thoughts on the matter. I am not claiming that this theory absolutely true, but let's take the opportunity to ask questions.

I feel that Meri loved bringing in Robyn as a sister-wife because of her jealousy of Christine and Janelle. Then by divorcing Kody, she believed that she would be loved and seen by him for her selflessness. It didn't quite work out the way that she thought. Love your discussions!
Meri was struggling even prior to Robyn coming into the family and I think that Meri was looking for a way to get into Kody's good graces. She couldn't give him another child,Christine did, she couldn't give him four sons,Janelle did.,and she couldn't seem to figure out how to keep the attention on her. Bringing Robyn in was her hail Mary,Hail Meri?,because it gave him things that Meri just couldn't. It gave her a friend because she had destroyed any chances at a relationship with Janelle or Christine,it gave her a chance to give him more children,and it gave her a chance to give him something Christine and Janelle were probably not willing to. A nuebile,young wife to bed and make babies with. Robyn is a decade younger than Kody. Meri gave him a wife who was significantly younger and was probably in middle school or high school when they got married! She wanted someone she could mold into a friend for her and the dream wife for Kody after her chances with Janelle and Christine were utterly trashed.

Also, Meri said in an episode she wasn't threatened by Janelle but she was threatened by Christine because the relationship was "romantic".
I think karma bit meri I'm her ass! She tried being sneaky bringing in a horrible sw and now snobyn is the only one that has kodys attention *which is no gift... I think snobyn manipulated her way to being the legal wife and completely kicked meri out of the family. However she still wants meri in the family so snobyn can be the best wife
The reason Robyn was struck by lightning when she saw Kody, is that he looks just like her ex-husband. Plus Robyn always wanted to be an actress and she heard on the grapevine that the Browns were going to film a documentary for TLC. Bingo, a match made in Heaven! She wormed her way in.
I definitely think Robyn heard about this family, and seen dollar signs.😂 she saw this family as an end to her financial struggles. I think Janelle knew from the start something wasn’t right about Robyn.
It's funny because whenever Kody talks about the things that Robyn has done to get closer to the family and I'm pretty sure it all pretains to things that she did for him. He wanted her so much he was willing to overlook the fact that Robyn was a divorced,mother of three with a ton of debt and no meaningful way to pay it off and if Robyn had any honest intensions about joining the family she would've done things to help. She would've gotten a job as soon as she moved,she would've done things to help,I.E. Maybe made a few make ahead meals that way when Christine had Truely she wouldn't have to worry about feeding the family or maybe doing laundry,and maybe she done some things to reassure Janelle that she wasn't going to screw the family over. Janelle and Christine saw through all of it but Kody and Meri weren't willing to look.
She was in so much debt. She was barely able to buy her house. They said her credit score was so low because of collections. There is no doubt she married in there and try to get the money.

@@LabMama3 I honestly think that is something that ticked Janelle off because she was the one doing the finances for the family and they had to help Robyn twice. First by paying off her debts so she could get the loan for the house in Vegas and secondly buying her the house in Flagstaff. Not to mention you would think Robyn would at least attempt to show gratitude but she just seems to think she's entitled to whatever it is she wants.

#RobynsCon Nailed it again, James! Robyn did hear about the show, wanted to be on it, and knew how to scheme & deceive to make it happen. If it was Kody that schemed with her, oof, that turns my stomach. But so plausible. And explains the tight bond between K&R. Robyn immediately disrespects the other women because she’s already in with Kody. The rest is history.
Does anybody else wait for the end when James says "my name is James, this has been my take on reality, and...." then join in out loud when he says "I'M OUT!"?

I agree with you on every point you made! It makes so much sense that they set up Meri to think she was responsible for bringing Robyn into the family. For Kody and Robyn its all about manipulating other people and sacrificing their 3 wives in order to reach their selfish goals. They consistently think only about their needs. Remember when Kody was trying to convince them to move to Flagstaff he said he realized its time he starts buidling his retirement income and so he said we have to sell the 4 houses and had them put the money into his future retirement home and retirement property--Coyote pass. He never thought what are these 3 wives going to need when they reach retirement age. He doesn't care if the 3 wives get nothing and his children get nothing as long as he and Robyn are set.
Since you mentioned without a crystal ball I thought I’d expand on that. Katie also said that someone close to Robyn’s ex husband (I forget if she mentioned the relationship) stated that kody had gone to the head of the church and asked permission to do the show. He was denied but went ahead anyways. The leader had spoken to the congregants about it and told them not to participate. Since Robin had family that went to the same church it is beloved they told her. Either way they confirmed that she absolutely knew about the show before meeting Kody and Meri. She also knew ahead of time that they would be at the party.
I was going to comment on that fact as well, Robyn always saw herself as a wanna be celebrity so when she heard that there was a show in the works she positioned herself to get in on the action. She also blackmailed her ex to allow Kody to adopt the kids, the show used the excuse it was for health insurance reasons, but in reality it was so that her ex couldn't stop the kids from being filmed, hence making more money for Robyn as all appearances by the Brown family are paid. Im sure now that the other wives have left we will see more of Robyn's kids on the show now the family funds are down to 2 adults and not 5.

Another show discussed how Robyn had had two experiences being in Hollywood before she got knocked up by her first husband and it was something she always wanted.
Wow! Everyone is thinking Kody is running this shit show, even Kody believes that himself. As it turns out, Robyn has been pulling the strings all along... something his children could see for a while. That's really fine with me if Robyn wants to put herself into a situation where she disrupts an entire family based on her selfishness, but to drag her children through an adoption the way she did when her kids clearly cared about their father, she should be a shamed of herself.
BTW, it's bad enough she swooped in and took her husband, but was it necessary to erase Christine and her children from their OWN family portrait and replace them with HER children? 🤔 In my opinion, that was a disgusting move on Robyn's part.
Janelle would have never brought her into the family. She had concerns with the family finances already. She’s practical!
Spot on,James! Let's be honest when you first meet someone,or stated dating someone,you're not really meeting them. You're meeting their reprensentative and they are on their best behavior. Meri needed an ally and I think that Robyn lured Meri in with the idea of being a friend,and maybe more,and once she had Meri all sucked in she went for Kody. I honestly think that by the time Christine and Janelle met Robyn any objections they had didn't matter because Meri,and more importantly Kody,had already determined that it didn't matter what was said or any objections that were raised. I remember in one of the episodes how Christine talked about how she thought bringing Robyn in was terrible and how Kody had recieved a testimony,Janelle and Meri were onboard but I remember thinking that even if one wife objects that person shouldn't join the family but in honesty that didn't matter because Kody had already decided he wanted Robyn and he wasn't going to change his mind. He could've had 12 wives and if 11 of them said,'No. Absolutely not." Kody was deadset on having Robyn there.
Probably was already "Kitty" whipped before Janelle and Christine even met her. All this contrived by Meri and Kody. Already a done deal for Kody no matter what the other wives said. Robyn used Live Potion # 9 and Victoria's Secret lingerie on him and he was smitten. Poor helpless fool.
@@judyl.7234 I believe that too. Kody was driving 5 hours back and forth to see Robyn and come back home while Chistine was pregnant. He didn't care about her best interestes. He wanted Robyn.
There was so much talk about the show in the AUB community prior to the show airing. K and M let the community know they are looking for a 4th wife for the show. Apparently Robyn caught wind of this and had friends introduce her to Meri.

Though the polygamist sects are pretty well known for keeping women married and moving them around to make that happen. It's possible there was a conspiracy of more than two (or possibly a farce depending on your point of view).

My two cents - I get that they're an offshoot belief system of Mormonism. And that they are not mainstream. But just how much messed up stuff, including the con tactics James discusses, is going under the radar because "the principle"/"the religion" allows it? Monogamous relationships are challenging enough on their own; juggling this many wives, children, responsibilities and everything we've seen on the show is sanctioned cheating in my humble opinion...sanctioned cheating, sanctioned divorce (if it's in the name of adopting children), sanctioned ignoring of original children. Long time Sister Wives watcher and I feel so lied to by this family!! lol

I thought I heard on two other channels that she was 2hrs away which would be 4hr round trip. All this while Christine was in the later stages of her last pregnancy with Truley! Christine was also working at night, asked kodfish to check on and tuck her kids in, which he refused!! I don't care that he had two other wives, I doubt they would have been mad about him using 10-15 minutes of their time (well maybe Meri). I could never stand sobyns tone, facial expressions or whiney speeches.
I heard somehow Robyn knew the person who catfished Meri, or knew someone who knew the cat fished person. That means Robyn set that up too. I wouldn’t be surprised if kodi was involved as well.

I agree with all of your suppositions. In their book, Robyn's story of their meeting is very sketchy. I believe that Robyn and Kody have been in cahoots since the beginning. Nothing that has transpired is an accident; not even the robbing of the wives. Two thiefs in plain sight!

Robin 100% sought the browns out. Robins ex’s family recently reached out to another channel here on yt, and confirms that Robin found out that the Browns were possibly going to be on tv. She always said that she had dreams of being on a reality tv show. It’s interesting all these things now coming out

You hit the nail on the head! I have been thinking this same thing along. And the reason I was thinking this was the five hour drive she had to make to her cousin's house. I had read or heard somewhere that Robyn was not even that close to this cousin. I've said from day one Robyn is a huge manipulator, dishonest, and a fantastic co artist! So glad to hear someone else express the same thoughts I've had.

Robyn's exhusbands family said Robyn heard through church about the Browns and how TLC was talking a show with them. She left her husband, moved to Utah and made sure she met them. Makes me think dhe was definitely trying to get with them. She wanted to be on TV. She had been on a tv show I think, a very small part and wanted more. I know Meri and Kody didn't tell Christine and Janelle until Kody was hooked.
That was after she took him from her sister,got pregnant,racked up huge debts,took the money they could've used to buy a house and drove the man into the poorhouse and took his children from him. Over the 17 seasons of this show she has taken every opportunity to drag him every chance she got. First,she a victim of dv,then he stole her purity,then he mistreated her and the kids. She's taken every opportunity to drag him and be disrespectful to him and it's completely ridiculous.

Always excellent to have a man’s perspective. Respectfully, women are wired differently. I have went back to the the beginning of “Sister Wife’s” and started to rewatch the series too. Fact: Robyn never had a job and was never required to work. Janelle was always annoyed with this fact. Early in season 2, Robyn claims she is looking for a job 😂 Janelle is complaining about the finances because they are tight and taking care of Robyn, her children, rent, food, etc. was not her idea. Janelle was fine with Christine staying home because she added value to the family. Christine did all the grocery shopping and she knew how to stretch a dollar. Plus she was a loving mom to all the children and they never had to hire a babysitter. Also Robyn takes a slight jab at Christine and her infant Truly stating “she had heard that it was difficult for women at her age to have children later in life” Robyn is like a spider… Slowly creating her web and the Brown “Sister Wife’s” are her prey.
Meri wasn't just having trouble with Janelle and Christine. She admitted in her book that she and Kody were in a "very dark place" at the time. And this "secret affair" that she aided and abetted drew her and Kody closer together again. Like a delicious secret that only they shared. And I agree 100% that this was set up by Robyn and Kody all along. Robyn had her cap set for a television show and wealth, and Kody had his cap set for a young, thin, sexually exciting twig tail.
Robyn stepped in and gave Meri and Kody exactly what they wanted. Kody wanted a new toy to play with and Meri wanted an ally against Christine and Janelle. She also seemed to want a second chance after being such a blistering mess in the situation with their kids. I think she thought if she could bring Robyn in,mold her into what she wanted and build a good relationships with the kids it would prove to Kody that Christine and Janelle were not as good as Kody thought and were basically the problem.

My understanding is that before they actually started the show, Kody went to the elders of his church about doing it, there was a big discussion about it because some were for it, some against it. If the aunt was a member of that church, she would have known about the show, and could have easily mentioned it to Robyn, maybe just in passing. Also, Kody said before that the men didn't go after new wives, it was up to the interested female to approach the man then the family, like Christine did.

I believe Mary was jealous of Christine and Kody so she brought in Robyn to break that up. Very vindictive and revenge motivated.
Meri seems to have a lot of issues with jealousy when it came to Christine. She's stated that she had a harder time accepting Christine in the family then she did with Janelle and that's pretty telling because Janelle had been married to Meri's brother! Meri stated that she felt that Kody's relationship with Janelle was more romantic and she felt threatened. I think Meri brought Robyn in so she could have someone to balance out things between Janelle and Christine and she wanted to try again to build a good relationships with the kids that Robyn brought in. I honestly think Meri wanted to be able to look at Kody and say,"See,see,I did this for you and it wasn't my fault that I had problems with Janelle and Christine. I brought in this woman who's 10 years older then you and she's got kids who I have great relationships with." It was redemption but it just did not work!
She thought she’d get favor from Kody and a friend with Robyn. She is later shocked when Jen( her BFF) explains things. She didn’t know they duped her. Naive
I've been thinking this same way for the last 2 seasons. Based on what we know about how Kody behaves (manipulates)with his wives and how entitled and duplicitous Robyn came in, it is very likely. I've thought they had been having an affair prior to the official meeting with Meri.

She and Kody definitely were not chaste when they got married. They were too comfortable from the whole scene at Robyn's while Christine was in labor. The eye contact and how seemed "Hungry" for each other
11:44 so- Snobyn planned that party and meeting Kooter. Exactly- she went to that church because she could use her cousin to get to Kooter and worm her way in to achieve her goal of being on tv.

I never understood 5hours away either. My son lives 5 hours away. No way did have the time or the energy to go see him every weekend or more. Didn’t have the money either. Now an emergency and I will be there!!!!! He was going to get his Pencil Wet….. he had an affair on the 3 wives he left behind…., one in which was having a baby.
Well,two of them. Meri knew about Robyn. She was having problems with him at the time and was already on the outs with Christine and Janelle. I believe Robyn popped up and she was younger and "prettier" and Meri saw someone she could mold into a buddy,Kody saw some new a$$ to tap and that was compelling enough of a reason for them to hide Robyn from Janelle and Christine for months after meeting.
And apparently he was making that trek every 4th day. Wtaf. How did those other wives even found for that?

Remember Robyn claims she had all these propsective suiotrs and was in such demand. She probably had Kody convinced that a submissive,simpering curly-haired doormat wouldn't have any trouble getting another man to pay her bills,keep her,and be a daddy to her kids. How was he going to keep disappearing every 4th day and not have to explain it? Heck,his face might've wound up on a milk carton.
OR.. And hear me out...Meri thought Christine and Janelle would shoot the idea down. So it would be a win/win for Meri. She'd be the wife who was willing and obedient to what Kody wanted, but Christine and Janelle could be the ones to shoot the idea down. She thought the other wives would never allow a 4th wife, so she was trying to get a 1- up on them. Win win. No new wife. And Meri is still the fave because she was okay with it. As SOON as the other women "excepted" Robyn, Meri suddenly had an issue with it and jealousy. I don't think she ever thought that he would actually go through with marrying Robyn, because she thought the other wives would never agree to it. Does that make sense?
By the time Christine and Janelle found out about Robyn,Meri and Kody had just decied she was going to join the family. I honestly think Kody had already flipped for Robyn and he wasn't going to change his mind.
@dawnclark4635 I think so too. I think he wouldn't have taken no for an answer. BUT...I think Meri perceived it as they were both very needy and whiny and wouldn't take it. That's just opinion. I do agree kody would have never taken no for an answer, but I still think Meri really expected them to put more of a fight up so she'd be the wife who agreed and they'd be against it. I just don't think Meri expected kody to actually talk both wives in to agreeing to it.
@@jessicablair5610 honestly,I do not think Meri cared whether or not Janelle and Christine liked Robyn or not. She was on bad terms with them,she was on bad terms with their kids and she was struggling in her marriage to Kody. I think she wanted a way to get back in good with him and since she couldn't get prengnat and she probably couldn't tend to all his needs she simply found a younger woman who could. I personally think Meri wanted someone she could mold and to have someone fight beside her against Janelle and Christine. Plus since she had treated their children so terrible I think Meri wanted a chance to say,"See,see,I'm good with the kids. It's not me,it's them." and have an in with Kody. She just had no Earthly clue how badly it would backfire on her.
I think Meri was in a partnership with Kody to create this plural family. If she felt insecure she would want to find favor with Kody. What could be better than delivering a fresh new wife?
Meri never wanted to share her husband. She went along with it because she thought she was supposed to. Kody has spoken about how Meri struggled when he started taking in other wives even though she knew that's what they were "supposed" to be doing
@@Indigo565, actually Meri's father had at least three other wives and married the first one when Meri was 11. She knew what she was getting and even discussed adding wives with Kody. Meri had far,far more experience with pluralism then Kody did.
Meri absolutely was in partnership with Kody to create the family. She said so at the end of the season. She said that she and Kody had a plan. That they started this family together and that is why she wouldn’t leave. I think the problem is that she was 19 years old when they married. She thought that she would be the head wife and be in charge of the household. She didn’t count on Jenelle and Christine having a mind of their own.
The timing always felt really weird, and way too coincidental, that Kody just happened to meet someone he decided he needed to add to the family just as they were getting a tv show about their family SIXTEEN years after he had married the other 3 women. I think Robyn straight up heard rumblings about the show and decided she was going to leave her husband and marry Kody. I know that Robyn wasn't even legally divorced by the time Kody moved Robyn to a house in Lehi. It really does make you wonder if somehow Robyn finagled a meeting with Kody and flirted with him and tried to hook him before she even divorced David. I can totally see those two coming up with a scheme to hook Meri and convince her it was her idea. Kody and Meri even kept Robyn a secret from Christine and Janelle for awhile after he started courting her. Kody probably did give Meri a lot of extra (secret conspiracy) attention and Meri was so desperate for it she fell for it.

Robyn knew the family situation and their climb to the top. She so wanted a piece of that action. She's a grifter. She saw an opportunity to achieve wealth, fame, and eventually queen of the castle.
Exactly. Meanwhile she left her ex devastated and in debt to creditors and his family. Preston (David Jessop) had to pay back all his family by himself
Hey James I like how you think! Have you ever heard of Attachment Theory? Because I want to give you another reason why a ‘Crafty Woman’ would pull her competition in, love bomb them and then push away! Meri and Christine both show signs of ‘Insecure Attachment Styles’ and if you are a predatory woman you will use this to your advantage. The ‘Crafty Woman’ will make a show of her goodness to her competition in front of her mark (Kody). Then stealthily she will become purposefully cold to the wife/competition, but out of sight of the man, which causes suspicion to arise. When the Insecure Attachment Style is triggered, the wife will act out in fear. She will act out in a manner that appears unprovoked by the ‘Crafty Woman’. Maybe address the husband of what you suspect ‘ Robyn’ (in this case) of doing. When the husband addresses this to the other woman, she will act surprised, maybe hurt and even a little empathetic because ‘jealousy is just natural’. The fool of the man himself may even take this opportunity to express, yes I have seen her act this way and it is not attractive! So it forms a bond of similar experiences and makes the man feel the need to defend the poor helpless ‘Usurper’ from his mean wife. We see from Season 17 when he is mad at Christine from talking bad about Robyn to him, but he defends Robyn as not talking bad about the others. I've always said because of Meri's feelings about Janelle and Christine she was easy to dupe. Christine just knew Kody was already lacking and adding more people wasn't a good idea. Janelle knew they couldn't afford to bring Robyn in and even in the book said she wasn't really interested in getting close to Robyn. She was on to her from the start. In the book Robyn said kody told her about the show and she didn't really believe it. ( I don't believe her) James you should read the book it's got some interesting things that weren't shown on the show. It's probably at the library if you don't want to buy it.

I feel Robyn was behind Mary’s cat fishing issue as well.
Everything we've been seeing - especially recently, but those little red flags were always there - is just how manipulative and conniving Robyn has been from the start. Doesn't really matter about "motives" - it was always a con to get "fame and fortune" from being on TV. I believe that Robyn's desire to be a "celebrity" of sorts PLUS get her debt paid was highly motivating to her.

Everyone had love for Kody .And allowed to let Kody have what he wanted . Janelle & Christine had women's intuition - reservations about Robyn from the start. And it all came true. Now Robyn is stuck with Kody's love and rath.

I’ve been saying from the beginning that Slobbin Snobyn Bobbin Rob’em was all out for the tv paycheck and her 15 minutes of fame.
Yes! AND if you read their book Sobyn says she saw the Brown's at church twice before this "meet-up" at Sobyn's cousin/Brown's neighbor home. And some church dance is thrown in there too so I don't get it. It seems like you get 4 different stories, Sobyn's story, Kody's story, Meri's story and the story in the book. Christine had been trying to get the family their own show for a few years before it happened, Christine has a degree in marketing and did church speaking events so it was common knowledge through the church that the Brown's were in talks with TLC. I think Sobyn found out the Browns may get a show, moved from MT to UT leaving her husband behind so that she could attend church with the Brown's and put the moves on Kody, she probably followed him to the bathroom or something, who knows 🤷♀️. It makes no sense to leave your husband, move from MT to UT when you don't have many family or friends there, then attend church 5 hours away from where you live in UT, she had an agenda, FOR SURE. That's probably why she left her husband but HE'S the one who had to file for divorce so if "Plan A-Kody" didn't work out she could go back home to her husband. We're not getting the REAL story, something's rotten in UT yall! Or was!

I believe Mary, totally fell for the “oh you’re going to be my best friend “ and “oh Kody , will love me for doing this” . While the two of them were playing hanky panky already. Because, Robin said it best, Treat him like your best customer.
And she played the long game, she ruined Mary piece by piece, and actually got her to divorce Kody
She ruined Christine. But ….. I don’t think she thought Christine was feisty, and had enough self confidence in herself to leave Kody, mistake #1. I don’t think she thought Janelle had issues with Kody mistake #2. And I don’t think she thought it through on how many times Kody discarded Mary , that they would eventually end it on live tv.

I heard that Robyn's cousin was a neighbor to the Brown family, so that would make it easy to create a situation for first contact. Your analysis of what happened is really good, especially in light of what we've heard about Robyn seeking out Kody b/c she had heard of the show. Apparently, there was $64K in debt from her marriage so she really needed to find someone with $$. It does make sense that Kody and Robyn had already met first and that Kody brought in Meri to steer the set up. When you think about the fact that Robyn traveled 5 hours to Lehi and met Kody repeatedly - did she travel numerous times or was she there for awhile without her kids? - there's lots to think about.
It also seems really weird that Robyn had her children calling Kody "daddy" before she was even married, like she already had long range plans for her relationship with Kody.

It has nothing to do with Mary’s independence Mary wanted to shock Janelle and Christine, rock their world with a new potential sister wife. Mary has a mean streak to her, I’ve seen it with her interactions with the kids, Cody, and her sister wives. Mary was at odds with her sister wives, her husband, and even her own fertility. Mary is emotionally needy person as we have seen over all the seasons she needed a BFF. She was searching for someone to fill that void. She found Robin watch Dawn as an insecure person does, Robin saw the vulnerabilities written on the wall. Robin placated to Mary’s vulnerabilities and insecurities, therefore covering a new spot for her in the family.

I believe you are right. I think the rumor about the show got around town. Robyn hears about it, starts coming in town and hanging with her cousin. Catches Kodys eye. The cousin invites them over. Robyn cozies up to Meri, with Kody right there of course. I never believed Kody was turned off by her 'soccer mom vibe'. She's even said Kody is more attracted to curvy girls. I don't believe that either. Kody was smitten with her from day one. She has her in with Meri, and their little secret. Meri now think she finally had an ally in the family. Then comes the second secret the three share. Meri needs to divorce Kody for the kids. They convince her she will be on their team. No one will come to the legal wedding but Meri blah blah blah. The minute that divorce was final, they kicked her to the curb and uninvited her to the wedding. I would've thought at that point Meri would've realized she'd been duped. Janelle saw the writing on the wall IMMEDIATELY. I can't wait for this show to be over and done and see who comes out with a Tell All Book. I hope it's Janelle or Christine cause then we will get the version that Kody and Robyn can't manipulate!

I think Kody needs to get honest about his line of work. He calls it a sporting event when he's in Las Vegas when he is a arms dealer. He wanted to live in Vegas because of that. Kody sales guns and being a arms dealer he should stop hiding it from the public. He can't tell the truth about anything.

I have a theory so just bare with me on this. Robyn was never interested in her ex but he was interested in her sister,Fawn. I imagine them all hanging out together and Robyn saw something in Preston Jessop that she could take advantage of. She claimed he stole her purity but in truth I think she wanted him so she could stay home,raise kids,and just spend his money. Over time things got financially tougher and afte had tapped that piggybank til ti squealed and she decided to leave. It was said that Preston Jessop was in massive debt thanks to Robyn,they were going to pay off their debts and buy a house but instead Robyn used the money to shop and bought things for the people who were watching the kids in order to pay them. She eventually got everything out of him and then left. I think it wasn't long after that she saw Kody and in order to garner sympathy and suck Kody in she made herself the poor,helpless victim. I look at the whole "he stole my purity" sermon as being something that was two-fold. First,I honestly believe that Kody was using that to attempt to scare,at least his daughters,out of premarital sex and second, it was a way for him to punish Robyn,I'm not sure for what,for not being a virgin when they married,Kody seems to have a weird thing with Robyn's ex.,and while Meri and Christine probably were Janelle wasn't but he would never in a million years get Janelle to do what Robyn did. Perhaps it was even a message to the other wives. "Look what I can get Robyn to do." and honestly, I also think Robyn was peeved that Preston filed for divorce from her. She was angry that he left her and while she was fine with moving o with Kody she's still mad at him. Certainly explains why she drags that man every chance she gets. He was abusive. He wasn't kind. He was unstable. He stole her purity. I'm sure if Robyn had her way Preston Jessop and Christine would be sacrificing baby goats,drowning puppies and creating Covid together.

I think you're absolutely correct in your analysis. Robyn and Kody had already met and had decided what they wanted and Mary was the ticket into bringing Robyn into the family without any serious issue. Mary was also the first and legal wife so roping her into it all was key. Both Kody and Robyn used Mary and ditched her when she was of no use. For years Mary wanted to IVF treatment but they didn't have money for that but they had money to adopt Robyns kids and buy her a bigger house than everyone else. From what I understand, Mary just wanted to be wanted/appreciated and she wasn't good at expressing that especially with Christine and Janelle. Kody just conned all these women into marrying him, he's so controlling and manipulative.
