- TLC's Sister Wives cast member Robyn is spiraling because Christine is claiming her life back. With every step Christine make to leave the family Robyn, assisted by Meri and Kody, are there to try and keep her from leaving. This episode provides further evidence of why Chritine made the right choice to leave and how people with no moral character can't fathom dealing with a principled person.
Christine was a master class in dignity and restraint.
One disgusting thing about robyn is that she takes from other women and children to get what she wants for herself and her kids.
I love how calm christine is whenever they try to bully her
I honestly think she's already so far out the front door, that their gameplay doesn't affect her much anymore. She's clear on what must be done and already disconnected.
Her aunt ran some sort of nonprofit for those leaving the cult. No doubt Christine had counseling to leave.

Christine saw her married children and Janelle's married children having very loving marriages that were light and "easy", meaning that there wasn't so much angst in the marriage. She asked Aspen if marriage could really be like this, instead of all the anger and hurt she had for 27-ish years. Because Aspen knew full well what life with Kody was like, and what she has with Mitch and what Mykelti and Tony have, she was able to talk to her Mom about what having a good marriage was like. The more she was around the happy marriages of her kids, the more miserable her life felt. And she wanted out!
Robyn has been undermining the other relationships from the beginning. She's a vicious piece of work and her daughter is following in her foot steps
Yeah we saw that with the wonderful loving father Kod is as carries one of Sobin Robyn's girls to her room after a panic attack. That being said. Ysabel was treated like dog doo 💩on the bottom of his shoes by KoVid Kody during the back surgery.
Let's leave the kids out of it; they didn't ask to be a part of this mess.

I was very proud of Christine when Robyn called her a liar and insulted her in other ways (as if teaching a heretic). Christine kept her honor and her composure throughout the attack, which I do believe Kody put Robyn up to Defending him.

Christine was fine with the way Kody treated her all those years because she didn't know he could treat a wife better, it wasn't until she saw what he was capable of that she realized she'd be short changed. I hope this show stays on long enough to show the look on Robyn’s face the day Kody brings some newer, younger wives ( since I feel like Janelle has or is about to leave him as well) into the family and starts having kids with them. And wouldn’t it be something if they already had some kids? I mean Kody might need to adopt them and in order for him to do that……I hope Robyn gets over it as well as Meri has.

My Dad was out of my life from the time I was 10 until I was about 19, when I reconnected with him, he had remarried and he and his wife were raising her two younger daughters. He was a MUCH better Dad to them than he was with me, but to be honest, I'm glad he was, because my sisters lost their biological father when they were tiny, and they needed that paternal influence. The difference was, I had and have, a wonderful and amazing stepmom who also loved and included me, Robyn doesn't care about anyone's kids but hers.
Imagine being any of the other women. You have to hear you’re not there enough for Robin or her kids. What do they expect? Robin keeps her kids separate. She also has a nanny the women can’t insert themselves in a situation. When Robin and Kody go out of their way, not to include them.
What the he--. Sobyn wanted someone to provide for her and her children. She got it then hired a nanny so she can sit back and bad mouth Christine. Hey crappie you got yourself a real winner, not surprised.

There was an incident in Vegas(?), when Kody became aggressive towards Christine and called her a crybaby and guess who was standing right next her..yes, Robyn. She did not come to Christine’s defense....just like, not telling Kody to go to Ysabel’s surgery, Robyn plays coy, but she’s a manipulative, vicious, snake in the grass.
I remember that episode. I couldn’t believe it when he walked past Christine and called her a crybaby. What a nasty piece of work he is. Just a little man.
Robin even looked more rediculous when she said Christine didn't communicate with Cody that Christine didn't know how to communicate.

In all of this mess, Christine, Janelle, and Meri did right by their children. They raised their kids to be confident decision makers (Christine and Janelle aren't quite done as their youngest are still not fully grown.) I love that all their children decided to pursue different lives than polygamy. And it's so sad that Christine looked at the marriage certificate longingly. I hope she gets a good man one day, if that is still her heart's desire.
Robyn called Christine a liar for saying the exact same thing Robyn herself had told Meri. She is an awful human being. I love how Christine gray-rocks her and Kody instead of reacting to their manipulation and attempts to keep her beneath their control. Best way to deal with narcissists when you're on your way permanently out of their lives.
Robyns needs to put doubt out there about Christine, because she knows the public knows Robyn and Kody are the narcissists in this situation. She did this as you say to be in control. Robyn probably knows now this adds to the negative public view of her, and spoke before she realizes what this would let us perceive about her. And Kody? He wasn’t even thinking Mary needed a divorce, claiming it had been dwindling over the years, so why Christine? Kody agrees with Robyn about their relationship being better in Las Vegas? Who is Robyn to make a judgement for Christine? And Kody agreed to that, only because Robyn said it. He had already admitted during Kody and Christine’s private talk that they had issues in Las Vegas, and it hadn’t gotten better.
Janelle was maybe too happy about the house being sold. Kody didn’t like that comment from Janelle, but was ok for Robyn to say Christine lied, about something he’d already agreed to Christine about. So glad Christine got the heck out of this situation.
After Ysabelle's surgery, Christine reached her breaking point. She was done; and since no one helped her by even bringing them meals while she was up all day and night with Ysabelle to take care of her and keep her pain meds on board, it only made her decision to leave that much stronger. Gwen said Robyn and Kody are "way worse" off-camera. Can you even imagine?!?! Shameful, abusive behavior. The bullies deserve to end up alone. All the kids except Robyn's are fine because Christine raised them. Hurry up with a show with Just Christine and Janelle and their kids and grandkids. There'd be no negativity and lots of love and laughter. The other three adults could just go stew in their own toxicity.
Robins comments and Kody’s outrage and outburst proves that they are both bullies. They are despicable. She seems to have intimate knowledge of Kody’s relationships with the other women, he claims that intricacies in his relationship with each wife, stay between him and that wife, so is Kody spilling the beans during pillow talk?

Christine was a heavier person. As a formerly heavier person most of my life, it does a number on your self esteem, especially years ago, before it carried less of a social stigma. I think she was overwhelmed by Kody's attention. He was nice looking, charming, and experienced. She was heavy, young and inexperienced. I think for a long time she felt lucky to have Kody. Then came the show, fame, self care, therapy, the kids grew up and left. She realized there was more to life and love than Kody Brown. Good. For. Her!

Robyn was listening to a whole different dialogue in her head. She never said anything about any relationship but hers. Robyn went on a tangent about something that was never said.
Yep. She only had one question and it was about her. Then she went off and sobbed about how Christine wants nothing to do with her when that was not what Christine said. Showed exactly where her head was, and Kody encouraged it all by only blowing up about how Christine treated Robin and her kids.

Exactly! Even Meri should have seen that. Meri had said you don’t meddle in the others relationships. It’s a no no in polygamy. That’s why Meri is silent during these convos. Yet she continued to back Kody and Robyn up. I don’t think they did Meri well, but I can’t feel that sorry for her. She could see what Kody was doing to her and the others and said nothing for years.

First mistake, she gave Kody a divorce. She should have made him do it. But that shows how desperate she was to please Kody. She says she wasn’t a door mat, but that proved it. To hell with for the kids, for the family. She already knew her relationship was bad. She had to g down and meet lawyers herself. Kody was never going to say he divorced her. Such a coward. No consoling her, Judy a “thanks” from season one I could see their dysfunction.

My dad did this! Remarried and became the most awesome step parent! I was totally neglected. Now his step kids have filled his cup and produced grandkids - he will send money occasionally, but won’t spend time with me or my boys! He said I’m a ‘past mistake’ and other awful things. His new family worship him but I’m not surprised- he brought his new wife’s 2 daughters A HOUSE -EACH !!!!
You know, I’m getting a weird type of therapy from sister wives as it’s helping me to come to terms with feeling rejected - eg it wasn’t me not being good enough, it’s on my dad… his loyalty lies with who he lays with 😳

I'm sorry you had to go through this. My husband did too. His mom got remarried when his dad died and all was good with the step dad until they had kids of their own. Then my husband and his sister got pushed to the side. Even his mom treated him badly. He's 67 and still deals with feelings about that. It's your dad's loss honey.
My dad did this. After my mom passed away, my dad married a woman with 6 adult kids. His new family was constantly needed financial help. My brother and sister and I, never ever asked for any money. He took them on vacations and we rarely even saw him let alone never going on vacations. When my dad passed away her six kids sat on the first two rows at church. We were squeezed into the third row alone with my Aunts and their families. Guess where my dad’s $600,000 retirement fund, house and cars went too. Not us.

This scene really pulled the curtains back on Robyn’s REAL personality. Not the “oh I want the best for my sisterwives” personality she’s been trying to sell. It showed that Kody and Robyn have been isolating Christine for years, keeping her at a distance but still in the family so she can contribute. Once she decided it’s not acceptable and she’s out, they became furious that she won’t dare stay and just keep getting crumbs and keeping her mouth shut. They became angry once the reality set in, and they both decided to insult her and yell at her. Then when they were interviewed later, they tried to cover their bullying by saying “Yeah we’re just really upset because it’s really hard on the family.” The truth is they’re upset because they lost control. You can see Robyn start getting indignant the more Christine talks about how horrible her life has been. She realizes that she won’t be able to call the shots or influence Christine’s life anymore. So she’s gonna call her a liar, try counter Christine’s narrative so she looks bad on her way out the door.
It’s personal with she and Christine. Christine is first cousins with David Jessop. Christine knows things(or Robyn assumes) which tells me Robyn, even though that threat is there, she’s willing to go where she thinks the money is, no matter what. So she has to keep Christine under her thumb.
I think Robyn secretly likes that Kody stays with her most of the time. She turned him against the other wives.
Christine handled it right. I would have had to sign a check for bail.

And hasn’t Robyn since said things have been bad since the beginning? When the narrative fits her experience it’s a different story. Shes so transparent. I agree with you…I’d be saying “excuse me Robyn?!” What do you know about my experience with Kody? There definitely would be a longer conversation.
