I wish you guys would remember the genders of the people you are talking about. it gets very confusing.

  • @SAMS-BAD-TAKES

Tip to the editors: could we maaaaybe cut out all the parts re explaining whats going on because of bad reading compression. Cuz we all here know whats Going on. ❤ love y'all

  • @GirlieAndroid

As an Arab, I'll explain what is wrong with the first story. OP's mother who was 21 probably was already in love with the guy she cheated with and probably forced to marry OP's father because of a business transition and the poor girl got caught in the middle of something she didn't want at all. Unfortunately FORCED arraigned marriage (VERY different from arraigned marriage) is a thing in Africa, Middle East and south Asian culture regardless of religion. It's just culture that in some of these countries is illegal and the girl usually is too scared to stop this, even though she could because of her father. She can be disowned. The problem is that the OPs mother was probably forced to get married and that's a big no no.

  • @emilyjohn2034

Personally I don’t think you can call it cheating if you FORCED the person to marry you. That is not a real relationship. Arranged marriages can be real relationships if the people involved decide they love each other. You don’t get to just claim a woman as yours without her consent and then be mad when she doesn’t love you

  • @TitanSummers

Yes she was sold / given in return for money.

Guys, I didn’t receive my license to be a therapist from this show. I received it from having friends who were in fucked up relationships, trying to walk them through why the relationship was bad step-by-step, only for that friend to agree and immediately go back to their partner. Back in my day (millennial) we didn’t have the fancy “RUclipss” and “TicTacs” that licensed us as therapists. We had to earn it back in my day by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps 😤😆😂

  • @LeahKoahal

I feel like that story with the baby and cheating was fake.

  • @MegaMyown

Jane’s friends: wow op, you’re an asshole for not standing up for all that Jane did for you. For 50% of that relationship, she was 100% loyal. OP despite her tiny, itsy bitsy, little, teeny weeny mistake of

"My son-in-law is furious at having to pay that and that it's insulting he has to be given a legally mandated amount to send his children"

  • @sadia6503

I will say as a child of an icky marriage myself, I almost don't blame the mom for cheating. I know my mom's circumstances and if it's similar to that than the mom may not have been allowed anything else even if she tried to go back home.

The problem with schizophrenics is that once they are medicated and feel "normal", they decide they are cured. stop taking the meds. and immediately relapse. A supportive family can insure they continue to take the meds. deal with any side effects, and there are usually no further problems. This guy obviously wasn't doing that.

  • @vashonm

Middle East guys do this all the time! They get full custody of the kids and most women stay no matter the circumstances

  • @Ravenlovesbingy

Im currently finishing the 10 hour episode so i will watch this one once im done 😂

It was a lovely story I was at first was upset with the mom, but it seemed like she tried everything in her heart to do what she had to do. I’m glad that OP got to see his mom and it just seems like they’re gonna have a good rest of their lives.
