10 Minute Gentle Yoga in Bed

- This is a 10 minute gentle yoga practice for when you first wake up or are ready for bed. Move slowly and with intention, and remember to listen to your body as you gently stretch. We'll open up the chest, shoulders, hips and neck. Hope you enjoy.

I suffer from depression, GAD and PTSD for about 15 years now. Last 3 years have been so bad for me I practically stopped getting out of my room, I stopped any kinds of activity apart from masturbation and singing. I can't do 10 sit ups without feeling lots of pain and without being tired. Even when I stretch gently, the next day is awful, because of how sedentary I was and for how long.
I was afraid I am not gonna do any of these yoga poses for I have tried different routine before, and I laughed from pure joy at the end, because I did it all without a problem and now I know it's gonna help me go back to normal.

@@makaylar.6722 Just did this routine randomly. Hope it's gonna become a routine, not just one time thing. I hate my body and I keep wondering why it hates me back, with all these symptoms I have that doctors can't explain. I completely forgot what self love is.
perfect as i'm feeling so lazy during quarantine, and have lost all of my motivation and flexibility! This is helping me ease back into it....and I don't have to leave my bed ;-) thank youxx

I was in the hospital for a month with very little exercise and this is the perfect starter yoga video to rehab myself at home .
4 years later but enjoyed this morning wake up
I have been doing this for 2 days now and I think I'm going to do it daily. Such a great way to start off the day. Plus its still in bed for lazy people like myself lol!

I think this is my fave morning routine in bed I've found so far. it's gentle, but challenging first thing in the morning and not so slow as to make me fall back asleep but not so fast as to make me get frustrated and give up

I honestly get really hopefull when I realize other much more yoga-experienced people out there in the world enjoy doing yoga in bed! I’m recovering from a bad spine injury which made me lose my old yoga spirit for years. But starting off like this, in bed, -wow, it’s great and really inspiring! I've started doing this every morning, to get myself back into the routine of stretching regularly. I've been really enjoying it, and noticed some general back and shoulder pains I was having start to reduce. I know this is a very simple little routine for beginners, but I really appreciate you posting it - it's the perfect level for me! Thank you :)
I just had oral surgery so am having to take it easy from my usual online practice. This is such a nice one to do in the meantime.

I know you posted this 8 years ago, but I play it everyday like it’s new. I play and pause to give my body the extra time it needs in some positions. I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm with limited mobility because of it. However, this morning stretch is something I can actually do which makes me feel so happy and accomplished. So, thank you 🙏🏽

I've never been interested in yoga because I'm not flexible at all but I absolutely love your bedtime/morning/simpler videos! They're not discouraging at all because of how calming they are and I don't find them intimidating either! Love it!
Candice it would be cool if you could do short videos on yoga poses tailored to people with occupational related muscular pain. Eg. I'm a dentist and get pain from being hunched forward and having weak back muscles/tight chest muscles. It would be a cool series! Loved this video by the way

Thank u for this yoga video! I use this after my exercise video to gently stretch out and I’m not as sore even though I can’t do the leg position because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis but I do what I can and that helps a whole heap! Have a great day!

This is really helpful. I’m in an intuitive eating program to help with my Binge Eating Disorder, and yoga is part of that. For the mornings when it’s hard to get out of bed for several hours, and you feel shame, this sort of yoga is perfect for that. It makes me feel better for not immediately hopping out of bed at 7am to go to the floor like I’m trying to do. Thank you for posting this.

This in bed yoga was soooo so sweet and simple and perfect for some of us who don’t have the mental fortitude to hop out of bed first thing! Thank U, I feel more relaxed, and legs & arms less tight. My potassium is low, which is slowly being brought up to par with coconut powder water. Back to bed for a couple HRs. Again, thank U4 the short, relaxing routine.😀
